I have watch the Millennial since its beginning. I am not a farmer but love his videos. I try not to miss any of them. He is honest and shows his mistakes. I love his family.
I love watching Zac and his family on U tube. But , I laughed when the narrator of this video said the Johnson family farms a huge tract of land- 2400 acres. My son and I farm 2500 acres of continuous crop in South East , Saskatchewan, Canada, and our farm is considered tiny, in this area. We neighbors that farm 20,000 acres, and make it look like child’s play. But Zac has a great U tube channel!
I don’t have any issues of what Zach’s doing to make money and secure his family well being and safety, he uses his family and especially his father in his work, I enjoy watching his videos, I also watched his very 1st video plus he’s very open about his days on the farm, I lived on a farm myself in Texas it wasn’t fun you never get a day of rest and the weather never cooperates!! 🚜 MF
As long as everybody stays healthy and committed, physical private business is great. But, alas, if the prime operator, Zach in this case, gets sick or has an accident permanently disabling him, the business is doomed if there isn't an adult son, like Onyx, to take over such a complex operation. Because of high risks, insurance is incredibly expensive, if available at all. That million would vaporize fast, even if handing it over to John Deere ended. Million dollar tractors running on PROPRIETARY software and hardware no farmers are allowed to fix gobbles up profits just to keep them running, just like your new car.
