A Tragic Event in the Astrology World: Things to Remember

- In today's livestream, I will be discussing the recent death of astrologer Danielle Ayoka. I am getting enough emails, dms, texts, that I felt it was appropriate to say something publicly.
Thank you Adam 🙏 My younger brother and I survived a very similar situation with our mother who was a Psychiatric Nurse. It was the Summer before i went into 6th grade (1988) she took us on a drive for over an hour and a half threatening to drive us off various cliffs, to kill us all. By the grace of God/The Universe she got herself together enough to drop us off at one of my friends house. Thank God we got into a foster home and my dad was able to gain full custody of us finally after years of fighting for us. I stopped all contact with her after this for over a year. When i was 17 she committed suicide, and if we hadn't gotten out she would have killed us too. I found out years later that she had Schizophrenia, her chart shows this and has helped me to understand her struggles. This is a moment to remember that we need to be really discerning about who we listen to and what kind of content we are taking in. Not everyone is in their right mind and not everyone is doing Astrology or other spiritual content is doing it forthe right reasons. Also just because someone holds a certain jon title it doesn't mean they're a good person or have the right intentions. You cant trust people simply because of their title. Please protect your happiness, mind and energy❤❤

I hear you. They only want to talk about astrology with me when they need a free reading but otherwise "they don't believe in it".
There was an awful lot of fear-mongering online, leading up to the eclipse. It takes enormous strength to keep it together when faced with a tsunami of negativity like we've seen in recent days. God only knows what drove this woman to do what she did. Love and light to the child who survived 🕊️
That is why it‘s of tremendous importance to choose wisely which astrologer you follow and learn from. I reduced my subscriptions to only a few I trust and consider sophisticated, down-to-earth and skilled. The same is true for any other people online and in real life. Be picky and take care of yourself and the ones you love!

My dear astrology friends, please remember that astrology is not meant to supplant whatever you consider to be your higher power. The creator created astrology just as the creator created all of nature and the layers of order in the natural world. Astrology is a tool, a perspective, a scope, and one the people here find particularly fascinating. Most of the time, astrology is not destiny because we have free will. To some point, we decide how we will manifest the astrological influences. So yes, I agree that it's unfair to blame astrology for a crime of murder/suicide. People from all professions fall apart. No group of people is immune from mental illness.
I hope you have faith in a higher power that loves you and is greater than any anxiety you face.

My husband had a massive bleeding event this weekend that needed emergency surgery right after we got up to Ohio to watch the eclipse. That astrological anxiety and fear was absolutely real for me too, especially with him having a bunch of important placements in Aries. And I think knowing the astrology actually made me more worried than I would have been had I not known. Thank you for your vulnerability, and your gentle and reassuring approach to such sensitive topics. Your episodes on dealing with astrological anxiety or burnout have helped me so much as I have been on this learning journey and I am so grateful for your wisdom and insight.

Adam- what I would love to see is a series teaching people techniques to manage strong inflows of energy during intense transits. Some of these transits push so much strong energy into a person’s body that people are unable to tolerate the intensity of the energy in the moment- and immediately seek to discharge it, often destructively. I have had many, many intense transits the past 7-10 years and have had to learn to develop techniques to surf powerful waves of energy during horribly painful, grievous and scary transits. Would love to volunteer to share if you’re interested in creating content for mental health during transits.
As a third generation astrologer my feeling is holding the astrology of this time for the practitioner is more than enough. For the level of support you're speaking of I refer to body centered trauma work and transgenerational family systems healing work.. specifically for all this Aquarian energy.

Thank you for speaking about this tragedy. Lots to consider here. I witnessed her work on Twitter but muted her to avoid her negative and aggressive tone. Her behaviour for years was focused on hustle and making $$, not wisdom. Her pattern was clear and she regularly attacked people online, including former clients. Very disturbing. I personally don't blame astrology or mental illness. She choose violence on multiple occasions. RIP to her victims.
To me it speaks to the deep need for community among emerging mystics/astrologers etc. There is a need for accountability and balance which can be achieved through relationships. Sending so much love to her surviving child.
So much fear mongering these past four years by media and it’s beginning taking its toll. We all need to be there for each other. kindness is much needed at this time. ❤
It’s ironic how the same people that don’t “believe in” astrology, are blaming astrology for this tragedy.
It’s a tragedy. An unimaginable tragedy that most of us couldn’t even fathom. The eclipse DID NOT DO THIS. This just sheds more light on how receiving help and assistance for mental health issues is so important. There is no correlation here…she happened to be an astrologer, the posts she made were warning signs that no one picked up on this public platform… no one’s fault. She was very sick 😢

The eclipse Monday happened conjunct my natal Saturn in Aries (6th house) that’s exactly opposed my natal Mars in Libra (12th house). I was rushed to the hospital yesterday. I laid there all alone waiting on test results and possibility of emergency surgery. I am a Nightlight 24 alumni and as I laid there in the chaos and uncertainty I listened to your videos for several hours, most I’ve already seen. You and astrology (as challenging as it’s been for me) gave me the comfort and hope I needed. Thank you! ❤ Im back home and no surgery was needed but I am more than ready for the planets to move tf on though! Prayers to Danielle’s family and friends.

The eclipse hit my Chiron. It's also a Chiron return for me. The day of and after I was emotionally torn apart. I am sooooo thankful I had the support I needed to get through. If she had no support these things can get out of hand fast. We can learn from this as individuals is to surround ourselves with supportive people who help us build a solid foundation for our lives and we can be there for them too. If feel backed into a corner we need to get help so we don't end up in trouble.

I’m an astrologer & have been studying it since im a kid. I can attest to the anxiety it has caused me at times when I see certain transits especially when I see certain aspects effecting my chart. I refuse to look at my kids charts mostly bc as a parent, we already worry. I had to learn how to manage the anxiety before I started my TH-cam channel.
I have come across her videos on TikTok before, I never would’ve imagined she would do this from the few videos I’ve seen. My heart goes out to her family for this terrible tragedy! 🙏🏻
This situation really strikes a nerve for me, as I've had spirituality and astrology do serious damage to my mental health in the past. For about 4 years, I swore off any and all spiritual practice, but I have never been able to fully denounce astrology. I didn't look at transits at all for that period of time, and it took a massive amount of mental recovery and critical thinking to become comfortable with seriously practicing astrology again. The Jupiter Uranus conjunction coincides with my Jupiter return, and this recent series of astrological events have been weighing heavily on me to say the least. My heart goes out to everyone who was affected by this awful tragedy. I wish for everyone here to find some peace of mind in this challenging time
I can relate. I have practiced astrology for many years and back when Saturn was in Sagittarius, the exact day it was conjunct my daughters natal Pluto in the first we found out her best friend died in a house fire. My daughter has never been the same and I have so much anxiety at those types of transits. It’s so real.

The importance of developing trauma informed counseling skills alongside astrology skills is so important these days as it isn't possible to be here now without being harmed in some way by the current human condition. To work through our own shadow and traumas so that we know the path and can be a light bearer cannot be underestimated. I feel this applies to all spiritual practices and organized religions as you discussed, and I appreciate we have a long way to go for this to be foundational in spirituality worldwide. That little girls true mother that loves her and that she loves is safe in Gods hands. Creator God will keep that love between them safe forever. Throughout all she’s about to go through on Earth dealing with this karma all day every day. The rest of it will burn away in Gods light.

this event was tragic. I woke up to this news on a Instagram media page that i follow, & the first thing i thought about was the eclipse energy conjunct Chiron. Its also true that there is many negative responses and reactions toward the astrological community in the comments of these media pages right now especially from astrology sceptics & religious people (Saturn & mars in Pisces) as an astrologer myself it is annoying to see and makes u wanna defend the art of astrology but then i reminded myself Mercury is retrograde in Aries Conjunct the Sun and Opposing Black moon Lilith under this tragedy so i wont give it my energy. thank you Adam for doing what you do, the astrological wisdom u provide on these topics is Phenomenal & you are appreciated 💯

Yes, when I saw the news I remembered what you said about that man who took his life in an astrological event like this. It was a shocked for me as well when I watched it the news. But the news didn’t gave a good impression. They make it feel like it was because of the event of the eclipse that she totally lost it and then that’s when I got mad, given a bad reputation to people that know this and dedicates themselves to this, it was beyond on me. So let’s pray for her and everyone else who needs it in hopes that this prayers reaches to them also.

I know this video was probably difficult for you but it is a very important topic. I often see people use astrology in a negative way in TH-cam comments (I have planet in this sign and that’s why my life horrible and will never improve(fill in the blank) .. people getting disempowered by astrology when they are in fragile mental/emotional mindset is extremely dangerous and could push them over the edge. My heart goes out to the people affected. Thank you , Adam .
As a Virgo ascendant like her, I understood how dark it was for her - with that insane aries stellium in my 8th house. On some level, it did feel like apocalyptic (and it still does), but the irony was for her she brought upon the doom she was afraid of.
This was a huge reflection point for me and just so deeply saddened by this whole thing, to say the very least.

Thank you, Adam, for showing up to speak about this tragedy. I am touched by seeing a man openly express feeling for others when the world can seem confusing. And that I see you as knowledgeable holding space for feeling and connection is guiding me toward greater understanding. To speak about your own human-ness in the possibility of ungrounded thoughts, that you also experience the darkness and how you might move through it, or that you recognize it, helps me to accept this within myself as well. Sometimes I perceive people who know a lot as being above being in the chaos of hardships and I am embarrassed of the things that don’t seem “good” within myself. I’ve been trying to acknowledge the parts of me that seem in the midst of hurt with vulnerability and care. So often I only hear the stories of the one who has overcome and triumphed but to feel in concert with all things even if unpleasant, feels liberating as well.

The energies have been quite heavy lately and I’m sure many of us are feeling it. Astrology for me is my guiding light (alongside my own faith in the divine and intuition). I don’t know what id do without it. As with most tools - they have to be used carefully. I find that Learning astrology is a dance between not letting paranoia get to you because your own beliefs are greater than a planetary orchestra. You still dictate how you use certain energies. You still have free will.

You are such a light to so many, Adam! You are a compassionate, humble, ethical and moral astrologer and the fact that you had the courage to come on and speak about this speaks volumes!
The idea that one or a few people in any profession, community or group could influence someone’s perspective on the entire profession, community, or group is extremely ignorant. We can look to any organization and find someone who has made less than desirable choices. We can look within ourselves and see that! We should all be heart broken that she lost her way and praying for those it impacted, not targeting astrology as a whole! If she were a nail tech, would we say all nail techs have these issues?

Oh Adam, I totally understand and empathize with this situation. Yesterday I was thinking the same about astrology and how its influence can heavily tax us emotionally. I follow moon transitions and most of the time I am prepared but some transits are so strong that I can’t pick it up before I am already involved emotionally. I have been fortunate to experience just a immense flow of tears and sorrow and thankfully no violence surfaces. I find these while tumultuous also has its gifts , we just have to wait for the storm to pass. Very difficult for some. I know that I will continue to follow astrology because I find that it helps to stay aware. I knew yesterday was going to be hard somehow and it is very sudden how it comes 🙏

my heart goes out to all affected - especially the sensitives who feel (and have felt for so long) the collective wounding and pain which is amplified with each incident.
may we all release these traumas, past and present, and allow ourselves to navigate in the direction of a future based on present decisions to exist is a state of peace, acceptance and harmony, within and without.
Astrology is not what happens to us from without. It is a language for consciousness, to translate the cosmic mirror of what is happening through us from within. It's hard for us to be honest and take responsibility for what's happened. It's hard to accept the total spectrum of possible expressions during these potentially violent transits. Astrology has been given to us to help us realize our responsibility. I am so sorry this horrific tragedy happened. I pray all are freed from suffering, and that the child was able to know and be held in love during her brief life.

I've been into astrology since grade six...I'm 53! I leave my following of astrology to people like you Adam that can tell me the energies upcomming collectively, yet only use it to know myself more in debth on a personal level. I would become obsessed no doubt!

I am so grateful for astrology, it quite literally saved me.
How much time I invest in astrology ‘everyone’ says why don’t you go professional. But after watching so many people go professional which now I can see that they don’t have the same depth of understanding, I know how these moments of expanded understanding effected me, and I wasnt influencing, putting myself out there,
I can’t imagine how it would feel to have those shocking moments and the motion of the internal dialogue, how loud it would feel, i honestly can’t even imagine it.
I’ve decided I’m not going to go professional as I don’t want to blur the lines between how I survive and how I thrive.
Astrology is a profound tool that should never be deemed as dangerous, but it is not for those who are not ready to face their fears and breakdown their self understanding and beliefs about society, loved ones and the world around them.
My thoughts are with people that knew and followed Danielle and all who are struggling with this shock.

I think it’s especially disturbing when children are involved. My son is 17 now but through the years when children closer to my son’s age died for whatever reason it always hit me harder. It still does. I’m someone and so is Adam who loves their children so much and that love is so powerful when you see something like this it brings you to your knees. This person had severe mental health issues. It’s the kids that’s most disturbing in this situation.
This weighs heavy on my heart, I am grateful for your talk today. I have been studying astrology seriously for the past couple of years and have definitely experienced the fear that can sneak up looking ahead at transits solar return etc. I feel like this is a very important topic that is often not talked about. such sad news.. the thing that has bothered me is the hipe and hystirea i have seen in the community over the eclipes.. i mean come on people we have one >EVERY YEAR..

what i have seen is astrologers who have hyped this with fear.. no different the those that are always calling out that world is coming to a end.. the fact is most of us want the crazness to end and are looking for outside forces to end this phase..we are sick of the current events.. we what something outside of ourselves to end this and make things right.. but only we can do that..there is no outside savior.. it is all a inside job..the other issue is if you use astrology and look at it as a locked in system.. it isnt we learn to free ourselves from it.. if you know that you are facing a tough time in advance it ought to help you navagate it not give into it. you are a good person adam..hugs for the pain you are feeling..

I want to mention for sake of inportance that centering astrology as this woman's focal source of psychosis also overshadows postpartum psychosis as a potential root issue. The connection to both as prompts for chemical imbalance are under-represented, but I've noticed with regards to this event, postpartum psychosis is struggling to be understood and show itself as a relevant condition. Regardless, thank you for this video.
There may have been many other variables - personal life, mental health, etc. - not just astrology. However, it may have contributed. Very sad, thank you for openly talking about this. May she rest in peace.

Yes, her hormones and sleep deprivation will have messed with her mind. TwiX is an awful platform too. She was a sweet person and wonderful astrologer but it was getting very dark for her. I'm praying for her to be surrounded by light and that her surviving daughter heals. There is a grandmother involved.
Potentiality and Influences. It’s important to remember that conditions can be present and favorable or unfavorable but astrology does not point at absolutes. It’s quite possible to manifest something that was only a potentiality but not an inevitability. But, because we held too much power to what the conditions were pointing at we manifested exactly that which we feared. Be careful with your thoughts and be gentle with yourself and remember that you are playing in the world of energies and flows and blockages and cycles.

Astrology + the study of it can be very dark. I didn’t realize this until I began studying Hellenistic astrology. Ever since, I’ve been obsessed with death + have developed tremendous death anxiety. If I could go back I wouldn’t study it.
. Death is nothing to be afraid of. We live beyond this physical realm
Our bodies are just shells. The soul/spirit lives on.
I’ve felt the same way of wishing I didn’t even dive into it! I’ve decided to put it down for a while and work on acceptance because it’s just become an added anxiety.

I’m so burnt out from the doomsayers that have been dumping all kinds of woe pre eclipse on my head and I’m a minister and astrologer by profession and former mental health care worker and today I made a video parody of a 36 year old Poison song when three of my many cats decided to wash their hindquarters in unison as I was sitting at the piano weeping. I don’t know why I’m sharing this info except sometimes this planet is so much I cradle in my heart wonder and dread collide and I do something ridiculous. Religion and the political can make awful bedfellows when pathology and excess intersect but I too am interfaith focused and I will always protect the vulnerable whenever I can and I will never not see the poetry in the stars that moves my ghost in all its faults and imperfect perfections. I send love and compassion to the woman in the news and her family and to Adam and Ashley and all of their viewers and honestly to all souls who may or may never read my words here. Praying for us to be capable of kindness and grace… and for many of us that most difficult to provide it to our wounded selves. I breathe in the ache of the collective and I breathe out love and I appreciate your candor Adam. My oldest brother died of suiocde and I believe that all of us are in the hands of God and none of us beyond redemption either. Love love love @all of you.
