Thank you Dan. My Q is: i am IMG doctor, radiologist. I finished part 1 FRCR and i am thinking to take the plabs to get GMC registration. Will this give me any advantage? What type of job i can apply for in this case? And will the situation be different if i have the FRCR 2A? As getting a seat for 2B takes a long time. Thanks

      Hello Amjad,
      Thank you for your comment.
We would advise against going down the PLAB route as a Radiologist. The reason for this is that PLAB limits you to working at ST1, ST2 and SHO level and it is extremely rare to find a Radiology service post at this level.
We know getting a seat for FRCR 2B is hard, but this is definitely the NHS' preferred route.
Once you have full FRCR and a pass in IELTS/OET, please do get in contact with us and we can support in securing a post that will provide you with full CESR support in a location of your choice.
If you have any further questions please do email us at apply@bdiresourcing.com.
      Regards,
      Gabrielle
      All the best,
      Gabrielle

    Hi
    Your videos are quite helpful.
I want to ask you that
a person working as a Consultant Paediatric Surgery in home country with a considerable experience in Medical
    Education
    MBBS from home country
    FRCS from Edinburgh UK
    Full GMC registration
Fulfills all other requirements of NHS
    except
    CCT/CESR
How can he get a job in UK?
Can he get Locum consultant job although in their personal specifications there is always CCT or entry in specialist register is desirable?
With so much experience which job should he apply for?
We also want to get indefinite stay.
    Please guide us.
    Thank you

Hello. With your experience and qualifications you can certainly apply for locum positions if you would like. It is totally up to you, dependant on what sort of position you would like and what is available. The best place to look to see the availability of such suitable posts is on the NHS jobs website :)

You would still need to have completed your GMC. Once you have your MRCP and GMC, you can then choose which area of medicine you'd like to practice within and apply for such positions.

Hi Dan. What would be the process for an American Board certified physician who has completed his residency (PG equivalent) from the United States to move his practice to the UK? What exams need to be taken and will he be considered as a consultant straightaway after passing the necessary exams? Thanks.

    • @bdiresourcing5775
      @bdiresourcing5775  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Dr Khan,
      Thank you for your comment!
Can I ask what area of Medicine you specialise in?
The only American medicine qualifications approved by the GMC are: Paediatrics, Anaesthetics and Radiology.
Can I also ask how many years total experience you hold? And then we can guide you on what grade you can expect to work at in the UK.
      Regards,
      Gabrielle

@@bdiresourcing5775 Thanks for the prompt reply. I will be completing my pediatrics residency soon and plan on doing a fellowship (subspecialization) in pediatric neurology which lasts for 2-3 years (A total of 5-6 years of Post Graduate training). Eventually, I will be certified by both, the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. However, since most of my family resides in the UK, I would strongly consider moving there shortly after my training.

When does one apply for the jobs on oriel after passing plab 1 and plab 2 for the img's ? I have heard that we can only apply for SHO and FY 2 stand alone posts which open in Jan month? Is it the case or some other posts are available throughout the year?

    • @bdiresourcing5775
      @bdiresourcing5775  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Doctor,
      Thank you for your comment.
NHS training post application dates differ depending on specialty. First round will be on one date and then two months later they will re-open it for second round applications.
I would suggest creating an Oriel account and checking for posts every day.
With PLAB, you will not be eligible to apply for ST3 training posts. So, you can apply for FY2 or ST1.
      All the best,
      Gabrielle
