No. In order to meet the criteria of an acceptable pattern of internship, you need to have both surgical and medical rotations. While you may be able to apply for registration on the basis of your USMLE, it is likely to be provisional.

I'm gonna graduate in May/June 2021 from Ukraine and FMGE (Indian Screening Exam) happens in June and December. So, obviously I cannot sit for the June exam in India as I'd still be in Ukraine recieving my degree and documents. I shall sit for FMGE in December. Certainly, there is gonna be a gap of 6 months. Is it a red signal for GMC registration?

Hi mam, i did my internship (365days) in india . 2 months community medicine in my college (MCI approved clg) and i took transfer to a govt hosptl for my rest of the 10months internship. Hence completed 365days internship While the transfer there was a 20days gap because of the inter state registration process. Please tell a word on this. If yes, who must give you the internship certificate in this case, The medical council or the hospital ? @@tapeserybahiaurelien3258 If it is accepted and otherwise follows the acceptable pattern by GMC, there should be no reason for it not to be accepted. The certificates are usually issued by the hospital but if the case is different for your county, that is fine.

It's a known fact from the experience of many IMGs. If in doubt, you can always ask GMC.

If you couldn't have avoided the gap then you have to explain that way. GMC will definitely understand your circumstances.

It is dependent on GMC. They have a route of registration via 2 years of postgraduate practice which may be applicable.

Hello doctor..i have some doubts can u clarify it..i am medical student from Philippines, we are having 4 years of medical training now I am having online clerkship..should I need to consider this as an internship or just this online clerkship works to apply for gmc registration.

PLAB does not require internship.
I finished my internship September 2019 and planning to take plab 1 in 2021 is there any rule that as soon has we finish are internship we shuld take plab or can we take when ever we want . What is the gap acceptable after internship to take plab 1 . Tq u in advnce :)
There is no such rule that you must take PLAB directly after your internship. Any gaps you have will need to be explained to GMC.
Hi, If I have gaps during my internship will that be acceptable? If I did 2 months rotation and then had a gap of say 13 months and then did the rest of my 10 months rotation would GMC accept it as an acceptable pattern of internship ?
It would be up to GMC.

I have completed my mbbs with 12 months internship from Pakistan n now moving to london .....i am interested in mrcs route gmc registration but don’t have any clinical experience except my 6 months general surgery internship....is it possible to complete both parts of mrcs without further clinical experience n get gmc registration
MRCS doesn't require any clinical experience.

You would need to explain this gap to GMC.
Hi mam, i did my internship (365days) in india . 2 months community medicine in my college (MCI approved clg) and i took transfer to a govt hosptl for my rest of the 10months internship. Hence completed 365days internship
While the transfer there was a 20days gap because of the inter state registration process. Please tell a word on this. Whether my internship of 12months certificate will be accepted or not.

@@tapeserybahiaurelien3258 If it is accepted and otherwise follows the acceptable pattern by GMC, there should be no reason for it not to be accepted. The certificates are usually issued by the hospital but if the case is different for your county, that is fine.
