@@tempershot6311No, we do not see that. If you think the game against France, where the Boks outscored France 4 tries to 3, in what is widely considered the greatest game in world cup history was boring, then maybe rugby isn't for you. If you think that watching the final where PSDT pulled of 27 shattering tackles in an incredible team display of unequalled physicallity and determination was boring, then maybe rugby isn't for you. Surely you must see that. If not then there is always Rugby League or Touch Rugby for you to watch.
@tonysa2337 Maybe I should be sympathetic to South Africans when I write a comment in the future. You come from a more difficult part of the world and the Springboks give you hope etc. My apologies

What's amazing about the Boks is that they have been in 4 finals and won all 4! Poor France have been in 3, won none, England have been in 4 and won one, Ozzies, 4 finals and 2 wins and NZ 5 finals won three. And The Boks were not even in the first two World Cups! So from 8 World Cups they have win 4 of them. Amazing record.
I agree. Haters will always find a reason to hate no matter how much you show them otherwise. How many teams would be thrilled just to make a semi or a final yet here we are with 4 cups under our belt yet still people think we're not worthy of it. Beggars belief.
One has to question the integrity how they go about it!? Food poisoning, bomb squad, play disruptions, milking a red card. Did some summon a witch doctor?? If it's too good to be true it usually is
I actually think Mike is our lucky charm. Every time he roots against us, our boys find a way. So I have no hard feelings towards him. I just really hope he never backs our boys. 💚💛
Super guttered as an All Blacks fan, but massive respect to the Springboks who were absolutely brilliant throughout the entire tournament. See you next year at the Rugby Championship.
Tindall made himself the villain to all South African fans by constantly insulting them throughout the world cup. Watching him struggle with the Springbok win is amazing to watch. Maybe karma does exist. Massive respect to the All Blacks as always. Well done to our boys, you did the country proud.
so ungenerous and disingenuous in how he wont acknowledge the VARIOUS styles of ways (expansive and defensive) in how the Boks have played depending on the opposition. Dynamically rotating their team. Yet it is the English that currently play in the most mono way, saracens/leister pattern, where he should be critical. Instead he praises them. He's intellectually dishonest and plain salty. Simple.
Funny. In the pre-match video he said Will Jordan would be the key man of the final. In his revisionist post-match analysis he said he chose Kwagga Smith!! Doesn't he realise once you post a video on TH-cam its there forever for everyone to see what you said!😂😂
@@leslie_sharpe Yup, his English team he was in was the blue print 10 man rugby team when it mattered. Sure, they could attack (like SA) when they played lesser teams, but they very much reverted to Johnny and that pack when they played tougher teams.
As a South African and staunch Springbok fan, New Zealand is still the greatest rugby nation of all time (even if we have a better record in World Cups) 🥳🤟 That being said, although maybe not the greatest in terms of win ratio, for me this Bok team is MY greatest, for me the first truly representative South African team, littered with legends, with so much heart, with so much entertainment value, each with their own back stories and unique qualities. Building on the platform built by previous Bok legends. It’s been a privilege watching you over these last 5 years 🙌
A couple of things, I think if Sam Cane rather road the tackle, as in wrap up Jessi, allowing him to run into his chest, instead of driving the shoulder hard, there wouldn’t have even been a yellow. Lastly, and I know England were not in the final, but if they want to ever win a WC again, they should take a page out of NZ’s book. I think all but 1, at most 2 NZ players, allowed the silver medal to be placed over their heads and kept them on during the final presentation. England both in the last Euro cup football and the 2019 rugby WC refused to put on their silver medals. Winners, like the AB’s are, lose gracefully. Winning is a culture and teams like the Springboks and the AB’s have it. Many northern sides don’t. People wonder why these two teams are successful, they are not only mentally tough, but they have respect and good rugby culture.
Happy for the fans of South Africa, the joy it brings them, is a wonderful thing to see. In regards to the coaching staff, has been first rate, Marx out Pollard is in, wow that made a huge difference, that guy has got ice running through his vains. Stop blaming the ref all the time, this is not football we are classier than that. I am not South African, I just tell it how it is.
Yeah there is a good reason there is only one ref in presiding over a Rugby game. Watch American football and you will be bored with stopping and starting from interference with a multitude of referees throwing flags all over the field.
To the GBR team, thanks for taking us along your RWC journey. For most of the time, as a Bok supported, it has been tough listening to your comments and opinions, but good to get the full picture - your love for the game is admirable. In this final session, the little time that was spent talking about the winning side was luckily left to Ben, who beautifully described our team and what we bring to the game. To add to that, 1) we are not the greatest rugby nation (the ABs are), but we are the best World Cup rugby nation, 2) rugby and the team are bigger than any player or coach, we don't care that our players are not included in 'best weekly' or even 'best all time' teams, that is why we don't have conversations like Cane stepping into Richie's shoes, Kolbe doesn't step into Habana's shoes, neither does Bongi in Marx's or OS du Randt's; 3) we love the rugby we play - raw, unapologetic POWER - this is how we skin the cat. PSdT's 28 tackles is what we call out when we list the game highlights, same for Kwagga's turn-overs and Etzebeth bumping off the first defender. We respect teams that bring the same to us, and we hate seeing the likes of Cane getting red carded for that type offense and lastly, 4) for South Africans, rugby is HOPE, it is one of the last remaining good things left in our dysfunctional country. It is truly loved by the majority, people from all walks of life. The brilliance of Rassie is that he managed to make this happen - this will be his legacy, not a 7-1 bench split or two RWC trophies. All the best, can't wait to be part of your conversations when the 6N starts.
@@bro3545 how? NZ had two opportunities to win it through penalties which they missed, just like South Africa in their first match against Ireland. It’s never as simple as just walking through the door, this is the highest level of rugby, you need to bring an army to get through the door. SA showed that they can hold the door! Fantastic show too 🎉
Ah man the English are something else. Let’s be honest we have had their number in world cups for many years it must hurt and explains their reluctance to give the boks any credit. This bok team was incredible, how they found the energy for this game is incredible
England's tactics against Boks in the semi, as clear underdogs, were spot on and they nearly won taking the points with every opportunity. I think Rassie and Jacques looked at that and did the same in the final when the weather report forecasted rain. Get in front and then defend like your lives depend on it. So in the end, I guess we can thank England for our fourth title!!!
Tlabuscagne, you THINK Rassie and Nienaber looked at the way England play and they did the same. Who did they look at to win the final?. Rassie as we all know is a strategists, and do not copy, but strategise around the way others play. So please, do not make an assumption, factual.😊
@@aboubakarcornelius7296 yes Rassie and Nienaber are innovative but it’s not unreasonable to think they’d adopt another teams’ tactics if they’d worked for that team. Why is that so difficult to accept?
I love Keyser's description of the different ways of loving rugby. I totally agree and it makes our game so much more interesting than other sports. Well said monsieur
Two of the Bok greats returned to Paris for the final - MM and MM both visibly recuperating from injuries at RWC. IMO their presence injected “gees” after the bruising quarter and semi- finals. Received a heroes welcome on arrival at hotel from the men who took to the field in the final. Just brilliant to see them on the field receiving their medals. Have to wonder what impact their play might have had as hooker and on the wing against this mighty All Blacks team.
How I loved your commentary. Incredible to recap on the run up to the finals. This is the thing about rugby. It is a fanatical game executed like a war with the same set of rules, incredible high lights and terrible low's. Maximum emotions and eventually live and accept the outcome. This crazy wonderful game of rugby. Love you guys from Africa.
Something that nobody touches on in MSM and even on this channel is how many tackles the Boks put in to keep that lead and stop the most dangerous runners in RWC history. NZ scored double the point of any team leading up to the final. 209 successful tackles the Boks made! TWO - HUNDRED - AND NINE. Over 80 mins that's almost THREE tackles a feckin minute. Savvy? THAT is what it took to stop NZ and epitomises their god-like running/skills.... AND Kolisi and Arendse came 🤏🏻close to getting to two tries engineered. People say SA was lucky blah feckin blah.... you don't put in 247 tackles in fact as only 209 were successful - so it REALLY is 3 tackles a minute - you don't get luck by that amount of raw guts. And if anyone thinks you do then get your eyes checked. NZ could not finish SA off because I honestly don't think they expected us, after the arm wrestles with Tonga/Scotland/Eng/Fra to go even DEEPER into that well. I think they were shocked by our defence more than usual and only came out of the PTSD in the 2nd 40. Also, they turned down kicks/points... I know they were creamng us in line-outs... but THIS IS FINALS RUGBY... get the points... stop thinking about glory tries. THIS attitude is what lost them the game besides missing the kicks. I will agree though - their bench added nothing, which surprised me. Our backline should have been stuffed by the time NZ subs bolstered their backline, but our bunnies just kept feckin going. Even I was shocked. I'm elated for my team.... but I also have no nerves left. Epic drama like this was insane.
Good point, but you're actually incorrect... your 80 minutes factors the entire game... but actual playing time is probably closer to 60 minutes. Therefore the tackle rate is even higher... 209 divided by 60 = 3.48.
@@dogtrombone6095 fair play.... guess its an even more poignant rate then.... I don't know how the Boks are still standing/walking after that effort and assault on their bodies.
Think the thing we're missing here is both teams have the utmost respect for each other and value each others strengths....i think one thing they both displayed is the didn't confuse arrogance with confidence....
You can't say it was there for NZ.. The boks missed 3 tries and didnt go for one 5m lineout.... The first 10 minutes of the second half the ref had 1 or 2 shocker calls that could have given the boks the chance to bury them... There is alot of coulds but the boks took the musts and did it.
Springboks never get the recognition. they are the best team, end of . 4 world cups. 50 % win rate. If NZ had won, then they are. But they didn’t, neither did France or Ireland. SA did.
@@r_v_t_ They did achieve something amazing for sure. At the same time though, as a Springbok supporter, I can say that the All Black team of the 2015 era is well recognised as one of, if not the greatest. We are going into an interesting new era. Love the rivalry
It’s sort of facile, so much of this debate. Almost all close games come down to little things. Of course the team that takes more of their opportunities likely wins. BOTH teams took some, blew some. The ref made calls.. some of those were close and they were pretty even. Two cards each. SA should have / could have scored more in the first half. Ditto the ABs in the second half… But, neither did, so we’re left with this result and an amazing cup final played by two really good teams. What a great tournament, what a great game. I’m sorry it’s all over.

The tindall thinks their poms played an excellent game in the semis where i think they were just out of their depth. How low can you steep to then try and get Bongi out of the final....by the curry bunny😂😂
I heard a story (probably apocryphal) about an Englishman asked to explain the difference between commitment and involvement. He took a deep breath and said, "you know ... the difference can best be explained by an English breakfast, crispy fried bacon, sunny side up fried eggs ... the chicken was involved, the pig was committed." Both teams were exhausted at 60 minutes; the English pack was no longer making yards and their backline had no more ideas while even the fabled Bok 'nuke' squad had had very little effect. and in times like those, commitment is everything. Defense comes from trust and trust from total team commitment. Its that national commitment that took the Boks through three Finals in three weeks. And there's no other way to measure that other than the final scores of those epic three games.
Hey Saffas, don’t let anyone tell you to be humble and graceful and shit. Act whichever way you want on these internet streets. The world will still shit on us regardless ;)
Tindall was constantly going against his own narrative.... Struggling to find the words... But deep down ... He started loving the Springboks 🎉❤ You will be alright Tindall. 🎉
As a Springbok supporter I totally agree with Tindall. The TMO shouldn't be making the final call. Wayne Barnes or the ref should have decided. I dont think it should have been a red even if that means we could have lost 😅 I'm not onboard with the new laws. Its taking away from what rugby is all about.
It seems the only people who are not complaining about the bunker system and the TMO is South Africa. The reason we are happy for the TMO, is because The Boks has always been cheated by referees missing calls or being bias and the TMO levels the playing field for the most part.
SA went over the try line more than three times with excellent attacking play. Lots of wrong calls went NZ's way. SA defended masterfully, managed without a specialist hooker and without their star wing for the last ten. It was not a case of NZ just having to "walk through the door". Every time they tried they were swarmed. Tindall is completely biased and his Make England Great Again cap explains his arrogance!
The 50% current win rate if applied to the 2 World Cups they were excluded from that would translate to 5 time winners. What ifs....... mean nothing but worth pondering.
Enjoyed this Tournament immensely. Agree it was the best of ALL time. Thanks for starting GBR and baby bros GBRA. Can't wait to welcome you all to Australia for the Lions Tour and Rugby World Cup(s) 2027 and 2029!
NZ have been brilliant through the years to pull SA in to play NZ style and then they hammer us. They managed to do that to Ireland yet in the final SA managed to pull NZ in to play our style that's why the kicks to the corner instead of taking 3 points.
10:55 they can play like Fiji if they want as have the same talented backs, but to win pressure finals you have to mix it up and play smart. That’s the BOKKE way 🇿🇦🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

South Africa competing in four finals with four wins and only one try conceded is for me a stat that will probably never be equalled or bettered by any team
Nonsense. They played 65 minutes of the game with 14 men. As somebody who has played the game you have no idea how hard it is to play with one man down for so long. The fact that it came down to a missed kick speaks volumes. I actually think SA would be disappointed with not putting away a 14 man NZ team.

Well done to all the other teams that made this the best World Cup ever. Looking forward to the next one.
i dont think you can use the argument of South Africa having a ' Big Men ' advantage anymore . if you look at the player stats of the top 5 teams there are compareable big men across the board.
We can turn it on whenever we need to which makes this Bok side special! Against the French we needed a try and took a tap & over goes Eben. Same against the English, we needed a try and bang RG scores. Against the AB's, we were ahead the whole game so just killed it off. Insane team!
I appreciate the sportsmanship and objectivity displayed by the French guy despite his team being knocked out by a 1 point loss to the Springboks. I speak some French and the French media has launched a ruthless propaganda campaign against South Africa. This resulted is almost zero neutral French comments since the SA game, not only about the ref but also about individual players and also South Africa in general. This guy was not taken up by any of it and remained professional.
The argument that the rules of rugby do not allow guys like Sam Cane to be physical is a joke because how did Eben Etzebeth put in that legal monster hit on Richie Mounga? How did PSdT munch Jordie Barrett again and again without head contact?
The reason why the boks won, is because we applied extreme pressure, stayed in their faces and close their space. Forcing them to make mistakes. The All Blacks dont like that and SA done it better than any other team. Nevertheless it was an exiting, tense game. Well done to both teams.
We are so proud of our team but the opposition was immense! Thank you to the hosts, England and the AB’s for the hard honest opposition. Also our Irish friends who were unbelievably graceful. After a very close win, there is always "monday morning quarterbacking" where a number of moments can be pointed out where the losing team, in this case the All Blacks/English/French could have won the game. There are however just as many moments where the winning team, in this case the Springboks, could have increased their slender lead.
Where in the final could SA have increased their lead? Reverse the 6 points from the Frizzell yellow (that the TMO contradicted Barnes assessment of intentionally falling onto a leg) AND Barnes apologising to Ardie for not releasing when he saw on the big screen he actually did.
Winning by 1 point over 80 minutes does not allow one to be arrogant. However, based on Tindall's entitlement as a result of 3 points over 100 minutes 20 years ago, please be my guest to enjoy it for a while.
Mike Tindall cannot bring himself to acknowledge the Springboks properly. The final was billed as the battle of the greats so therefore the winner would be the greatest. Yet Tindall has to water it down and say the greatest in world cups! Well, Tindall, isn't that where it counts? SA or NZ can never be six nations winners and Ireland, France and England can never win the rugby championship therefore the winner of the world cup is the champion team and the first to win four are certainly then at this time the greatest. Especially in view of the fact, which he talks about, they had the hardest path to the final of any world cup winner.

Karma indeed
It’s been a privilege watching you over these last 5 years 🙌
It's ridiculous that South Africa as 4 x world cup winners have only hosted the tournament once and that was almost 30 years ago.
I think England have learnt their lesson. They were very delighted with their bronze after scraping through Argentina.
Totally agree@@riri1718 Their petulance in 2019 was disgraceful (England supporter here). No need for that.

What people don't understand, Rassie will not be the same without Jacques, they are an excellent duo
You really think Jacques is gone for good.. ? Do you not know Rassie and his plans yet? 🤣🤣
Love the honest assessment of the Frenchman Benjamin Kayser - a real rugby analysis unmitigated by sentimental biases.
Congratulations Springboks 🏆👏👏
SA did.
Hard to say as kiwi but I think this team will age well into legendary status as RWC cycles go by

Ditto the ABs in the second half…
But, neither did, so we’re left with this result and an amazing cup final played by two really good teams. What a great tournament, what a great game. I’m sorry it’s all over.

Yep his whole demeanour gives him away..
I heard a story (probably apocryphal) about an Englishman asked to explain the difference between commitment and involvement. He took a deep breath and said, "you know ... the difference can best be explained by an English breakfast, crispy fried bacon, sunny side up fried eggs ... the chicken was involved, the pig was committed."
Both teams were exhausted at 60 minutes; the English pack was no longer making yards and their backline had no more ideas while even the fabled Bok 'nuke' squad had had very little effect. and in times like those, commitment is everything. Defense comes from trust and trust from total team commitment. Its that national commitment that took the Boks through three Finals in three weeks. And there's no other way to measure that other than the final scores of those epic three games.
4 finals 4 wins going into this final and winning it after playing cream of the crop was other worldly
Except England….certainly not cream of the crop…..but dictated the nature of the game
He’s still drunk from the night before.
SA had a very hard run to the finals. No one mentions how exhausted they must have been by the time they had to play the final.
They do mention how tired they must have been, hence they questioned if they had it in them to win the final
It seems the only people who are not complaining about the bunker system and the TMO is South Africa. The reason we are happy for the TMO, is because The Boks has always been cheated by referees missing calls or being bias and the TMO levels the playing field for the most part.

i dont think you can use the argument of South Africa having a ' Big Men ' advantage anymore . if you look at the player stats of the top 5 teams there are compareable big men across the board.
We can turn it on whenever we need to which makes this Bok side special! Against the French we needed a try and took a tap & over goes Eben. Same against the English, we needed a try and bang RG scores. Against the AB's, we were ahead the whole game so just killed it off. Insane team!

Reverse the 6 points from the Frizzell yellow (that the TMO contradicted Barnes assessment of intentionally falling onto a leg) AND Barnes apologising to Ardie for not releasing when he saw on the big screen he actually did.
Four missed drop kicks and three line crossings..

Respect Sam Cane shit happened. Sorry this is how your world cup had to end that way and this is from a bok support
Agreed. Nobody wanted to see a red card in the final, it really is a pity. Was legitimate though
Whenever Mike is against us, the Springboks win! Keep at it Mike, we need you!
Gentlemen. Thank you for being glowing about the team. Please stop patronising Siya Kolisi. Nobody did him a favour by making him captain. If you think his playing has nothing to do with it, where were you when we played Wales just before the World Cup? The team performance jumped up 50%.
People seem to not realise Rassie first met Siya way, way back, at Stormers, and by the way they speak, sounds like Rassie was big part of scouting Siya in the first place. Rassie saw something in him decades ago, its never been about any favours, but all by hard work and that something special Rassie saw all the way back then.
@@matthewvanrensburg3824 Yes, Rassie played a major part in the development of Siya. He didn’t however scout him. He gave him his first contract after he had had rugby scholarships.
@@noxolotshabangu8055 Scholarships are not the only scouting that happens, its still scouting that occur from/at the school lvl after getting those school scholarships ect. Many of those scholars still go unnoticed by the higher leagues, even kids previously ignored at the school lvl get scouted by the franchises. Seen it happen regularly over the years thanks to be in the cauldron with my own son.
Im South A and this was a spectular world cup well done and accomdated by france amd how the hell does England alwys end up in finals or semis certainly have gave great rugby pedigree
Weather Tindel likes it or not Siya is the greatest name in rugby he transcends the game tindel just cant pay SA a compliment without a but
He just cannot…. Wonder what the reason is… something personal perhaps?
Ben Keyser is really a great & insightful commentator and makes Tindall look like a whining, sore loser with nothing intelligent to say. You should make Ben a permanent fixture of the programme and ditch Tindall - it wont be a loss.
Ben is open honest and has intelligent feedback…
AB will be the best team for the next 5 years...France NZ. SA and Ireland and England in their wake...Brilliant guys what a world cup...even when your teams were eliminated there was still enough to bring you back for more..Well done FRANCE!
Thank goodness for the 7 1 split. If not for that choice we would not have managed to replace Bongi and still cope with the last 20 minutes onslaught.
Rassie/Jacques brilliance🇿🇦
Every team carries two hookers, nothing to do with 7-1 split
Tindall doesn't like South Africa 😢
Kudos to Tins on his genuine respect to the Boks here and an apology from me for giving him a bit of a dig in the preview show.
Great insights, tx Gents
