SA (and Argies?) is perhaps the only team with no foreign-born players. We had Zimbabwe-born Beast a couple of years ago. It’s curious how the ABs will field foreign-born players from the islands, but not homegrown players that play for overseas clubs. The ABs would rock if you selected your oversees stars. Yup, they'll probably have to resort to that. Kicking the Saffers out of Super Rugby has come back to bite New Zealand rugby. Less money and poorer quality opposition. Less money means more players go abroad, and poorer opposition means the youngsters who stay aren't given as much of a chance to develop. But unfortunately picking overseas players will probably mean even more players going abroad earlier in their careers.
@@mjribes you do know that the saffas were so poor their best players went abroad due to this. They also created the conference systems to accommodate the SA teams. As it stands, only a hand few of current Boks play locally. The rest or larger bulk plays abroad. There isn't much talent left in SA anymore.
@duncanskippers3130 The conference system was created to accommodate the Aussies (who didn't have their own national league). They wanted more local derbies. South Africa has the Currie Cup. So the conference system was not wanted in the Republic and helped make Super Rugby even less popular. As for players playing abroad, in each of the last two matchday 23s, 70% of the players play in South Africa for South African franchises. Most of the rest are taking sabbaticals to Japan. But South Africa have more than 10 times the number of males rugby players as New Zealand. So they can accommodate players going abroad. New Zealand, not so much.

Too much excuses man it’s our time now it’s okay we understand your feelings but we are the better team and NZ rugby will have to work harder to come at us 🇿🇦
The ref penalised both teams quite a bit as well which I think is a deterrent to holding the ball for multiple phases as you're thinking we could be just a few phases from giving away a penalty, so just take the three points
Most interesting is Malcolm’s try…AB wing trying to complain to ref and caught napping….that was the AB’s in a nutshell!!!! Ref in constant dialog with Ab players, coaching them all through the game. SA no interaction with ref….yellow card and of no discussion.f. AB yellow card and protest and discuss and appeal. That is where SA was a couple of years ago….needing the ref to win…..when in the history of the AB did they need the ref to win😮
I understand a NZ pod focusing on the AB's but the reality is the Boks left a lot of opportunities unforefilled by poor play and errors. These were tense/frustrating games but the worrying thing for the AB's is how poor the Boks were at times and yet you still failed. The reffing although penalising the Boks didn't help you as the game was stopped when you should have had the advantage especially at the tackle breakdown when the whistle was blown even when you won turn over ball quickly. The concerning thing is the Boks can only improve hugely in most departments, lineout, backline play and the tackle breakdown.
Ellis park and Capetown proved one overwhelming difference between the all blacks and the 2 x R.W.C champion springboks 'experience and depth" now if the boks were not operating at full capacity with minimum margin imagine the Abs ceiling 2025 - 26 is going to be very interesting.
My feedback: the lack of succession planning and development of new talent to replace key players. This could explain their current predicament, as relying on the same core players for too long without grooming suitable replacements can lead to a decline in team performance. Injuries, retirements, or dips in form of these key players would leave the team vulnerable, and without a strong bench or emerging talent to step in, the team’s overall strategy and execution may falter. It’s crucial for any top-tier team, especially one like New Zealand with a strong legacy, to continually train and develop younger players. Failing to do so risks losing competitive advantage and struggling in high-stakes matches.
James’s underlying tone was so passive aggressive and I can sense he is very frustrated with the result which is understandable. Give the man a big hug and tell him it will be ok. AB will come good soon!
Both teams have some imbalance but for different reasons. NZ needs to find a balance in their combinations. Maybe Satiti to 8 and Savea to openside combined with a Franzell on blindside. DMack to 15 or bench to cover 10&15. Barrett to 10 or bench to cover 10&15. Or get Mo'unga back. Rieko back to wing or out of the team. Proctor for 13? South Africa is not cohesive in their style of play and searching for a balance of their traditional strengths while adding more options. Time for NZ to seriously consider allowing certain players to play abroad. Also, entice South Africa to commit 2 or 3 teams to Super Rugby.
Razor reluctant or spooked about opening the Armory some non test players ready to Rock and Roll if given faith and called upon.but for the real sense of the pressure their's nothing like the real thing.
N.Z is getting sick of the officiating that is designed to keep N.Z out of no.1 spot.. we've seen it since the Ireland series.. but it is what it is.. more N.Zers attracted to supporting teams in the nrl
Some of the decision making from the All Blacks in these test matches has left me with me scratching my head. I mean not kicking deep into the corner and even with those penalties. Why don’t they give to Jordie Barrett to boot it from 50m. Also why the hell is Beauden Barrett not playing at 10. The man won back to back World Rugby POYY in that position. All the other second-fives like DMac and Mounga have to switch positions to adjust to him playing at 10.
Thats nonscence about the Kolbe throw in - Jaco Pyper (one of the worlds best referees) is part of the Bok support staff and ALL referee and law decisions are first vetted thru him before they are played - Your referee and you, need to verify your facts befre you mouth off about the move.
As a neutral fan who loves the way the All Blacks play, I understand the team is going through a transitional phase. However, there are some glaring issues that haven’t been properly addressed since 2019. The main concern for me is player selection. The All Blacks seem to prioritize playmakers across the field, but what good are playmakers without first securing possession? The team struggles with crucial fundamentals like catching high balls from kickoffs, handling kicks from open play, executing kick chases and at critical times, lineouts. How often do we see the All Blacks score, only to immediately be under pressure on their own line from the next kickoff? Robertson needs to prioritize players who can secure the ball, so the All Blacks stop relying on scraps of possession. Another weakness is leadership. In the World Cup final, the team needed just 3 points to win-any 3 points. Most top-level teams in that situation, down by a point and with good field position, would have gone for a drop goal. Similarly, in the last quarter of the test at Ellis Park, the All Blacks had a penalty in a very kickable spot, but opted for a lineout they ended up losing. Had they taken the 3 points, it likely would have sealed the game. Here’s the team that I think Razor should field for the next match, with a view towards developing for the World Cup: 1.Ethan de Groot 2. Codie Taylor 3. Tyrel Lomax 4. Josh Lord 5. Sam Darry 6. Scott Barrett 7. Ardie Savea 8. Hoskins Sotutu 9. Cortez Ratima 10. Harry Plummer 11. Caleb Clarke 12. Jordie Barrett 13. Billy Proctor 14. Rieko Ioane 15. Zarn Sullivan 16. Tamaiti Williams 17. Asafo Aumua 18. Fletcher Newell 19. Tupou Vaai 20. Wallace Sititi 21. Nick Hotham 22. Will Jordan 23. Beauden Barrett The key is to secure possession first-everything else will follow from that foundation.
ABs cant handle pressure, leads to poor decision-making and poor discipline...if AB player is good enough to start, he's good enough to play 80mins. never mind who is on the bench.
We need big bodies to match European and South African Team. NZ got them in heaps. The end of the year Northern Hemisphere tour is coming and it is the perfect time to realign and makes changes. Firstly, a few pointers for Razor. BB and DMAc are not 1st Fives. As long as these two start all blacks will never win big games. Pick only one in the reserve for big games as cover for FB. Richie Moanga is ok and better than BB and DMAc at 1st five. If Richie is available BB and Dmac should never be picked. Secondly, Rico has to go. Rico is the reason why all blacks did not win the world cup. It was lost in the quarter final when he sledged departing Irish player. Perhaps if he had performed a haka and bring him to tears rather than derail him in his last day, Rugby Gods will be smiling at AB. It is karma. Like Gregans "wait 4 more years" Sledge and Australia lost the final to England On the other hand, you see the South African players will never ever do such acts and go down that low. They are very respectful and good people and they will keep winning. Rugby Gods will make South Africa win and they will keep winning unless Scott makes these changes Thirdly, Don't let Sam Cane go. All Blacks have to keep him for big games. All Blacks Maul Defense is good because of him. Just keep him at test level and no other Rugby or very minimal club Rugby. Young loosies should hang around with Cane and learn about humility and respect A message to BB, Dmac, Rico, Ardie Savea and TJ. Please make yourselves unavailable for 2 years. Locking sorted out with Tupou, Scott, Darry, Pat Tuipulotu and Josh Lord Loosies. Do away with Ardie for a while. Go with Siti, Sotutu, Cane, Ethan, Jacobson, Papalii and Finau Young stars like Satiti and Finau have to be grounded and train hard in the gym and bulk up for the next world cup. Sotutu has to work harder off the ball. Half Backs: TJ out. Cam Roigard [has to learn to scream and communicate game time], Ratima and Noah Hotham Back Line: 1st Five: Harry Plummer [Inside center Cover] 2nd five: JB [Fullback and first five cover] Outside Centre: Billy Proctor Wings: Clarke and Will Jordon [Fullback Cover] Fullback: Ruben Love [1st Five Cover], Zarn Sullivan Wings: Shaun Stevson [Fullback Cover], Talaea and Narawa Centre: Quinn Tupaea, Umaga Jenson Brothers - need big boys, ALB Messaage to BB, DMac, Ardiae, Rico and TJ. If you want All Backs to evolve and be world leaders again, please make yourselves unavailable for 2 years. Please just do it for your country. You will come back stronger in 2 years. New Zealand team reminds me of NSW State of Origin. They always had the best players in their positions but never selected them in their position until Madge came and now NSW will be untouchable.

@@vumokuhlemsezane2728 lol oh you didn't count did you. Go do the math and come back and change your comment. Only 2 backs play locally from the starting 15. And if I counted correctly, 6 forwards play for the Sharks, Bulls and Stormers.
17:56 to panic. The AB's played well. You have a new coaching team, whereas Rassie and available personnel have been around for a while. The AB's remain an awesome and respected side. From a Saffa.
So, it seems that the rules changes designed to curb Springbok supposed advantage didn't just work?
> Who would have EVER imagined it???
Seriously, did someane really thought that their strength could came from a single thing?
Hulle keen weet nie wat Ons weet nie: simply at that
Colby throw is more innovation the game needs...too many pedantic rules that are futile.
I dunno why NZ media is panicking lol. We lost close games to the back to back World Champions and this could well be the greatest Springbok team of all time. The World Cup cycle just started. Calm down everybody please 😂
I love this NZ rugby team but sometimes it’s good to take a loss cause they’ll come back stronger but stop the excuses we will go again 🫡🇿🇦
Brin always looks so calm... Good to see you are human too 😂. Can't believe they got away with purposefully wetting the ball
"Malcolm Marx was poor last week" - which game were you watching? Absurd comment.
Yeah, that made me spit my coffee!!
This guy's a Groot doos.
He is just jealous that he was never half the hooker Marx is.
Marx was poor in terms of the standard everyone has come to expect of him. Which means he was still very good.
Worst comment ever 😅😊
James’s underlying tone was so passive aggressive and I can sense he is very frustrated with the result which is understandable. Give the man a big hug and tell him it will be ok. AB will come good soon!
ABs lost the mojo that came with apparent invincibility. Still should be able to crush the Wallabies
They are the best, because they have besten the all blacks.
Sam Cane needs to clean up his game. He remains a walking red card. He doesn't learn.
Go. All blacks. Were... Love.. You ❤
Razor reluctant or spooked about opening the Armory some non test players ready to Rock and Roll if given faith and called upon.but for the real sense of the pressure their's nothing like the real thing.
If we had played in NZ results could have been different. Not much between these sides
N.Z is getting sick of the officiating that is designed to keep N.Z out of no.1 spot.. we've seen it since the Ireland series.. but it is what it is.. more N.Zers attracted to supporting teams in the nrl
Seriously, we love and respect the AB's, but stop crying over losing the Freedom Cup. It's come home from exile... and is back where it belongs. ❤🇿🇦
Kiwi hasbeens. The loses go on and on and on.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Could be worse, they could have lost 57-nil
@@John7891Don't mention Japan. 😂

Land of the rising sun
Nz didn't get dominated
The AB's used their bench poorly
All blacks need some big bulk forwards
Thats nonscence about the Kolbe throw in - Jaco Pyper (one of the worlds best referees) is part of the Bok support staff and ALL referee and law decisions are first vetted thru him before they are played - Your referee and you, need to verify your facts befre you mouth off about the move.
Calm down.
"dominated" 🤭
I don't think this usa banana piesang velletjie, knows kak.
Lovely watching jApan slap their tchops in sy moer in.
? Bless you.
I really won't say you guys got dominated. You could have easily won both games
Here’s the team that I think Razor should field for the next match, with a view towards developing for the World Cup:
1.Ethan de Groot
2. Codie Taylor
3. Tyrel Lomax
4. Josh Lord
5. Sam Darry
6. Scott Barrett
7. Ardie Savea
8. Hoskins Sotutu
9. Cortez Ratima
10. Harry Plummer
11. Caleb Clarke
12. Jordie Barrett
13. Billy Proctor
14. Rieko Ioane
15. Zarn Sullivan
16. Tamaiti Williams
17. Asafo Aumua
18. Fletcher Newell
19. Tupou Vaai
20. Wallace Sititi
21. Nick Hotham
22. Will Jordan
23. Beauden Barrett
The key is to secure possession first-everything else will follow from that foundation.
Dominated???
Like Gregans "wait 4 more years" Sledge and Australia lost the final to England
On the other hand, you see the South African players will never ever do such acts and go down that low. They are very respectful and good people and they will keep winning. Rugby Gods will make South Africa win and they will keep winning unless Scott makes these changes
Thirdly, Don't let Sam Cane go. All Blacks have to keep him for big games. All Blacks Maul Defense is good because of him. Just keep him at test level and no other Rugby or very minimal club Rugby. Young loosies should hang around with Cane and learn about humility and respect
A message to BB, Dmac, Rico, Ardie Savea and TJ. Please make yourselves unavailable for 2 years. Ardie you are good but not a Back Row. You are too light.
That out of the way, now let’s select the team.
Front row sorted out by Jason Ryan. Won’t talk about it.
Locking sorted out with Tupou, Scott, Darry, Pat Tuipulotu and Josh Lord
Loosies. Do away with Ardie for a while. Go with Siti, Sotutu, Cane, Ethan, Jacobson, Papalii and Finau
Young stars like Satiti and Finau have to be grounded and train hard in the gym and bulk up for the next world cup. Sotutu has to work harder off the ball.
Half Backs: TJ out. Cam Roigard [has to learn to scream and communicate game time], Ratima and Noah Hotham
Back Line: 1st Five: Harry Plummer [Inside center Cover]
2nd five: JB [Fullback and first five cover]
Outside Centre: Billy Proctor
Wings: Clarke and Will Jordon [Fullback Cover]
Fullback: Ruben Love [1st Five Cover], Zarn Sullivan
Wings: Shaun Stevson [Fullback Cover], Talaea and Narawa
Centre: Quinn Tupaea, Umaga Jenson Brothers - need big boys, ALB
Messaage to BB, DMac, Ardiae, Rico and TJ.
😊
dominated is a complete overstatement lol, get overyourselves
They were butchered then mate.😂😂
18-12 and 31-27 is a weird definition of “dominated”.
No question the Boks deserved both wins, but calling it domination is tabloid nonsense, but then, what more do you expect from Sky?
