At first you must be sure puppy or the dog has no any parasites so I every 3mo taking dog's poo examples for 3 days. Then my vet check it and if they is any parasites. Then I give him/them worming tablets against it. Then if you use top quality food, it will be seen on the dog. My dogs are on Acana food now.

3 times per day. quantity you have on the bag of food, but every dog has different metabolism.
Your dog's Veterinarian will give your puppy the liquid worm treatments for the first 3 months along with the immunizations.

My advice for your GSD is Acana food. It is food from Champion Petfoods in Canada.
