Chevy Astro AWD transmission remove and rebuild

- How to remove transmission from Chevy , GMC Astro,Safari AWD.
Torsion bars are shorter than other 4x4 pick up.
So need to be remove torsion bars support mounts.
This is 1st time to remove transmission from AWD.
I did my ways.

i am getting ready to do this to a 2002. using the same low profile transmission jack from harbor freight. thanks for the views on the torsion bars. kudos for you.
Do you recommend replacing the torque converter when doing this? Trying to figure out if i can justify buying a remanned trans with a warranty or if I should attempt the rebuild myself. Thanks!
It’s hard to say about TC replace
Depends how do you use?
If lots of city drive on high mileage transmission maybe
My location is no traffic signals all trucks are high mileage but most not sifting like city
If TC doesn’t has seal groves it’s okay to use this location
Check what material left in the transmission
And if you can better overhaul original transmission but depending what kind problems now
I don’t suggest not buy rebuild or remanufacture
And make sure 100 miles change fluid after install
If you don’t only 1 years life

When I got this AWD motor was dead.
I remade from 2001 bottom and 1999 heads about year ago.
All exhaust bolt have anti seeds on .
That’s why easy to remove this time.

Is mechanically or something in the transmission problem?
If that’s mechanically need to be check sift arias but sounds like in the transmission.
Loosing some bolts or valve then leaking pressure some how?

That’s hand clump to hold puller .
I don’t have torsion clump tool so I used regular puller holding top of clump, to slip out
