@@wolf986 wg hasn't been russian for a long time, and i don't think it's as bad as the idiots who play WG games make it out to be, there are way worse companies than WG in the gaming market

Love the SAP - kills Yammies easily! Longer Range is really needed for sure... 360 degree turrets are killer - always ready to shoot while maneuvering. Smoke makes this ship playable with it's shorter range.
Yeah. Had a game against a conc. Did about 130k dmg towards him with sap. Was hitting 15-20k salvos at 25km range almost every time. Running range mod is nice
Never sleep on the AP though, friend of mine devstruck a broadside Yammy from full to zero once.

The Italian BBs kind of need the Legends treatment and have the 90mm guns be SAP firing, since you wanna get close anyway it'd be a nice deterrent to any lower tier cruisers and DDs in general.
Yeah legends deffo did the right thing with the Italian battleships, best secondaries in the game imo, and apart from God awful accuracy the main guns are still very potent even with regular HE.

I enjoy the two take version on these one takes. Two games is a nice amount for a video.
I was the Daring in that second game.
The VampireII wasn't hydro'ing himself and got caught within my hydro, I knew that he didn't have support because the CV had spotted that entire chunk of the map, so I pushed him straight bow-on to exploit saturation and compensate for DPM.
Columbo was balanced around Deadeye, so when it was removed that was a big problem for it.
What was the perk of dead eye?

Columbo is my second favorite battleship (right behind ohio). I got a 300k game and I will never doubt its potential ever again.

I love the Colombo. Agreed that it's not the easiest to play, nor is it "meta" but it still really slaps if played to its strengths.
Colombo is fun when you hit bow in Petros for 15-20k with the first salvo.
Looking forward on to it for this ship by grinding from Tier IX Lepanto.
Kindly this Cristoforo Colombo is a specifically a "Lyon 2.0" comes with firing at 16 guns with features on 2 turrets in rear will turn 360° will give an advantage to take point.
Comes with a firing SAP and AP shells will give a tactics like a "shotgun" although SAP is recommended to close combat ahead to fire against enemy ships with a ton of damage and AP shells will fire at long range.
Helming for Cristoforo Colombo is only a Unique commander: Luigi Sansonetti will take on assign
I am hoping the new unique module for Colombo really helps with the dispersion.

Currently at T7 on the Italian BB line, not an Easy line to play in the current meta
For me the line peaked at T7. Good, hard hitting guns with okay dispersion. Hull is okay as well. Overall a mediocre but not bad ship.
But its all downhill from there. Veneto might be the worst ship in the game. 16km range with garbadge accuracy at T10. Have fun with it.

@:06 When shooting at a German BB with SAP, shoot their gigantic superstructure until it's saturated (when good salvo's start dropping below 7-10k dmg). German BB's have some of the easiest superstructures to farm with SAP.
I love the concept behind these videos, but why is every video a Tier X ship? Would love to see some one tales of a Tier VII or a Tier VIII. There’s so much more to WOWS than justTier X.
I do remember that in your old video (two years ago maybe?) you praised the SAP ammo. What changed?
Would you not want to shoot German BB superstructure with SAP vice trying to pen the belt or upper belt with AP?
Also you weren't being tracked by that first torp salvo you DC'd so the ping was gone but you turned and then ran straight away from the torps so they all hit your stern, if you had kept running at an angle you would have dodged them.
Personally i mostly use AP and i really do like the ship
The potential of the Colombo is great, the consistency… not so much
I just got it as my second tier 10 ship grind I have it play like cruiser but sap shells can be fun when they hit😅 and smoke is indeed you’re joker card to extract from bad position or situations my first line was the Montana battle ship
it was introduced with the deadeye captain skill as an option
As a DD, I hate what that Marceau suffered:
Spotted by the cv and being blapped by a sub you (usually, not this time) can´t even spot nor do anything to fight it back... Just the distance his torps can arm but you can´t harm him unless you´re just above him.
statistically my strongest battleship by a mile. though i almost exclusively use AP. SAP is for when theres nothing broadside, and nothing that could be conceivably be broadside in the next 2-3 minutes :P
I'm trying to decide between going for the new tumor ships when they come out or the Columbo when I get finished regrinding the elbing bong

I stopped at Vittorio Veneto, the only BB line i never finished. I can live without it.
The sap is fine, if you had better sigma and reload, or better sigma and range, or better reload and and better smoke firing penalty (like 10 to 12, instead of 16). ANYTHING would be an improvement.
The SAP is what makes the ship, it's annoying as hell to hear you complain about the things that make ships unique. We don't need another Firestarter battleship, there's enough HE in the game as it is. Turning the Colombo into a more generic battleship would kill it completely.
Yeah being shit, inconsistent and harmless when an enemy DD charge at you is what make this ship then no wonder nobody play this ship nowaday.
Ok I can confirm, the SAP doesn't carry any harder than its AP, I can oneshot Satsumas and chunk Hannovers for almost half their hp with the armor piercing shells at a range of about 15-17kms by my own experience with this ship
Were should I put Sansonetti on? Venezia or Colombo?
Anyone ever though about making a world of warships stereotype like German battleships blasting sabaton or Japanese cruisers getting to cocky and getting smacked by a Vermont or even a cv player who acts like they know what they are doing but really don't. also amazing video
I love Colombo my xp and damage records are in this ship. I'm a bad player but my average in this ship is 100k and my top is 220k

No idea why semi ap ammunition is doing MORE damage than AP…
Ships components are more centered in the ship, SAP pens outer armor… effective against light ships. It takes skill and the RNG nature of guns out of the game.

Instead of a lot of coal upfront, you need to get a bunch of containers (coal or dubs) to fill out the correct collection; there are two Italian collections now

This line is the worst, the grind from 5 to 8 or even 9 is miserable
The entire line is like a shotgun, i have so many time the shells all land around the intended target, full broadside

What ship in this game is not gimmicky ? Lol easier ships aren't necessary more fun you know that. Plus on paper this ship has some of the best torp protection.
Poor range, beyond poor reload, poor dispersion, all you need to nerf skilled players who know how to aim, such a letdown of a line.

Just leave. ESC --> port --> pick another ship, thats how you deal with cancerous monkeys in cv's and subs :) its that easy

2nd game is very tipical T10 random, in 5-6 mins, one team has all the caps, and the other team lost half it's ships, and You cant do anything agains it.
This shows how broken the current meta is.
