As mibe reacted the same way when i sold my private assisted living facility and went from the full time to 8 days a month practicing as a PA to starting my whole food plant based restaurant 12 years ago. My American parents reacted like that as well. Its not a Jamaican thing. Both my parents are blk American and they supported me but were cery concerned about my decision. I now earn double the amount i was making and have three resteraunts in two states. Best decision ever!

Hi Elena I am a Jamaican well, I was born in Jamaica and I to have a passion for baking and then cooking. Oh my God you inspired me so much even though I’m not a nurse I’m just a regular person I would love to get a few advice from you.
It’s so incredibly encouraging watching women and minorities, like me, succeed in this way. I always struggled internally because the white people around me always got the promotions, the friends, the invites, etc. By following your own path, you don’t have to worry so much what other people think and you can eliminate “the pecking order” and other workplace drama.
Very inspiring, and thank you for breaking down the categories of how you earn your revenue! So there's no actual cooking and selling to customers directly from your home kitchen (which would require special state and local permitting). Genius! 😊

I’m literally soooo proud of her!! It’s only up from here💕
Well done! And thank you for taking care of babies in the NICU and fighting on the front lines during the pandemic!!
Hi Elena I am a Jamaican well, I was born in Jamaica and I to have a passion for baking and then cooking. Oh my God you inspired me so much even though I’m not a nurse I’m just a regular person I would love to get a few advice from you.
She has the best smile!
This has been exactly what I needed to see for so long. Thank you so much praise God for you.
I love this. You can just tell how proud she is of the work she put in, she deserves it all
Best episode by far! Thank you for sharing her story!!
She is outsmarting everyone... Plus she knows how to get you a great meal. WHAT nurse's snack!
Loved everything about this episode! Hats off to the producers and team involved in showcasing diversity in all areas!
Helena sounds like a sweetheart and a very successful businesswoman. Go Helena!
So happy 😊 to see this. Proud of you Helena 👏 🥰 💛
She is so well spoken and I love her eyeliner
You are so impressive Helena - love your confidence, skill sets and the food looks gorgeous!
Wow...what a beautiful lady with an amazing story
Very inspiring, and thank you for breaking down the categories of how you earn your revenue! So there's no actual cooking and selling to customers directly from your home kitchen (which would require special state and local permitting). Genius! 😊
Wow this is amazing you make 🇯🇲 Proud 🙏🏾❤️
