Someone make a note of how absurdly emotional and truly fantastic a reaction Jess had to Angela and Danai’s big scene, even with, as Jess said, the fact that said scene had no right to be as traumatizing as it was.
That scene cuts SO deep! One of the most emotional in the MCU next to Peter & Aunt May, Tony learning what Bucky did, and Peter pulling the trigger at Gamora. And of course Wanda & Vision in Infinity War😭
The line at 43:20 gives me chills every time. Julia Louise Dreyfus is such perfect casting for someone whose charm barely conceals a *truly* monstrous callousness.
People always talk about Angela Bassett in this movie and rightfully so because she was amazing but I LOVED Letitia Wrights performance as Shuri. I felt every emotion she felt throughout the film and she really sold me on her character as Black Panther.
Now you've finally finished phase 4 I'm sure you noticed that grief was a big part of almost all films and shows post-Endgame, though none quite embody it as its core theme as Wakanda Forever does (WandaVision being next closest imo).
While I adore Angela Bassett in this movie, I really wish she would have played Storm in an X-Man movie. She would have been a much better choice than Halle Berry.
This hits the ground running with it dealing with Chadwick Boseman's death written into the story straight away, want got to me is having one of my favourite comic book characters Namor he is very complicated he his both hero and villain sometimes at the same time, Angela Bassett is fantastic for sure.
This one was much better than I thought it would be. The women in the cast really stepped up. I was concerned about the changes to Namor's backstory but it worked for the most part. I'm glad they found a way to bring back Killmonger.
sesska, i like Julia Louise as now Director Fontaine, her character was in the movie , Nick Fury : Agent of SHIELD (1998) played by Lisa Rinna, i like Julia's portrayal, she appeared in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier tv show, did you watch that? and other movies in the mcu
*Black Panther* Projects Ranked 1. Black Panther: Wakanda 2. Black Panther (2018) 3. What If...? 1x02: "T'Challa Became a Star-Lord?" 4. What If...? 1x06: "Killmonger Rescued Tony Stark?"
I'm pretty sure she's seen them all or enough of them at least, she'll probably rewatch some of them before D&W. She still has 3 films before then anyway.
sesska, at 11 31, we dont' know how tchalla died in these movies,, they didn't explain it, so why should his sister want revenge on the world at whole,, the movie doesn't say how he died or where, was it fighting someone from another country ? he was fighting with the avengers and so was she in the last avengers movie, so i don't know why she hates the rest of the world for her brother's death, so i don't know if that is bad writing or what, why would she be mad at someone other than her brother for dying , unless someone murdered him, then she should be mad at that one person, not the whole world, so i don't like that they used that language without explaining it, it doesn't make any sense and promotes violence for violence's sake
Sort of? It's one of the things that always made her introduction in the comics clunky at best. Tony was dead when she became Ironheart, Tony being her "mentor" is an AI version of him that was in her armor. Tony himself doesn't have much of a relationship with her, even to this day. She was never well integrated in his book. I've always thought the character should have been Lila Rhodes (Rhodey's niece). She was practically the same character but was introduced years before Riri and was already connected to the Iron Man cast. Now she might as well not exist. Riri made her redundant I guess.
The MCU can convince us of many things, but there is NO WAY IN GOD'S GREEN EARTH that there would be no traffic on Mass Ave at any time of day or night!! :D
Bad movie. I don't understand how overrated it is. The fact they chose Shuri over Nakia as the Black Panther is beyond me. And Ironheart? Nonsense. It was just bad. Politics over storytelling doesn't work.
As an indigenous Latina, the representation of Namor and Talokan was so heartwarming and meaningful.
¡Lí’ik’ik Talokan!
It's so nice to watch someone who appreciates how awesome this movie is!
Yeah my theatre was so respectful and quiet the first 10 minutes. People teary-eyed and everything.
15:57 The quote "To be young, gifted and black" was actually a quite made by Chadwick in one of his speech, I cried when I realized that..😢
"The world has taken too much from you for you to still be considered a child." + the quiver in M'Baku's voice. All. the. Tears.
RIP Chadwick Boseman 😭😭😭😭. You were the best Black Panther. WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!
he will always be Remember that a Hero
25:15 The queen's speech broke me. "Have I not given everything?" All I could think of was my mother... 😢
Namor is a wild card in the comics. He can work with the Avengers on Monday, try to bang Sue Storm on Tuesday, and try to kill Wolverine on Wednesday.
and i love that. we need that.
And I love him for it 😍

Honestly the trauma of that scene is just the trauma of having a black mom angry at you.
Angela Basset did not have to act as hard as she did. Frickin tragedy she didn’t get the Oscar
Yeah, no offense to Jamie Lee Curtis but she won that more for career.
Namor is actually one of Marvel's oldest characters appearing in Marvel Comics #1 from 1939
Seeing Sesska upset gets me chopping onions !
Wait this video caught me off guard okayyy let me get my snacks 🫰

This movie made me cry so much!
Thank you for watching ! This is both a Fantastic peice of film and heart wrenching for the Disney Marvel Family .
My entire theatre was crying throughout this movie

RIP Chadwick Boseman you embody the wisdom courage and compassion of T'Challa character better than anyone else could ever have done
Now you've finally finished phase 4 I'm sure you noticed that grief was a big part of almost all films and shows post-Endgame, though none quite embody it as its core theme as Wakanda Forever does (WandaVision being next closest imo).
In my experience the biggest causes of an headache are hunger and sleep deprivation.
While I adore Angela Bassett in this movie, I really wish she would have played Storm in an X-Man movie. She would have been a much better choice than Halle Berry.

I think that has to be one of the cutest and cosiest outfits ever.

RiRi is IRONHEART, she has her own comic book also.
sesska, at around 31 min, you hardly showed the under water city so we couldn't see what it looked like
sesska, at 18 40? i like the line that the guy says, oh shit she has an iron man suit, i would have liked it if you kept it in
Will you be watching the X-Men films before Deadpool & Wolverine or have you already seen them?
I'm pretty sure she's seen them all or enough of them at least, she'll probably rewatch some of them before D&W. She still has 3 films before then anyway.
@@lucasdolding6924 Ah, thanks.

Yeah this movie gets me good too
sesska,at 34 56, i dont' like that they killed off that female character from the under the sea city, she was the only character i liked in this movie
I love this movie.

Yes, Riri will star in Iron Heart. Tony is her mentor in the comics.
Sort of? It's one of the things that always made her introduction in the comics clunky at best. Might be a hot take: I enjoyed Shuri more as a protagonist than T'Challa
Riri is Ironheart in this movie... so there you go! :)
It’s unfortunate that the writers failed to realize that the MCU introduced a Vibranium tracker being used by SWORD years earlier in WandaVision.
The MCU can convince us of many things, but there is NO WAY IN GOD'S GREEN EARTH that there would be no traffic on Mass Ave at any time of day or night!! :D
