what you could also (have done) was to make a 'cutter' ship, a small ship with a pair of grinders, vertically above each other, with one or two landing gears on the bottom. You can cut the large ship into manageable chunks, land on it, grab it with the landing gear, then kind of lift and drop the smaller pieces into the grinder pit.
The alternative to doing so many strange maneuvers to grind it could be a "grinding arm" that cuts thru the ship in a cross section so you can move it with a second ship or a crane into the grinder. Have a think about it. ;)

Here's a tip...when you grab the enemy ship and gain access to ANY block that has terminal access, highlight everything and transfer ownership to yourself...then it's your ship, and you can just turn off the remote, and fly it home. Almost painful to watch you searching for the remote.

For a bigger hauler another option for getting the resources into the base garage would be to have an umbilical cord that reached into the bay off the cockpit, while the actual cargo containers are still outside. Inc ase you aren't aware, you'll probably need to up the strength on your wheels as well as when your hauler is full the suspension will drag on the ground otherwise. (or at least mine did, I lost 2 wheels that way. lol)

Splitsie & Capac made a decent ship from capturing & merging a couple of Scuttlers, & they got sucked into a cycle of wrecking & fixing it, having never gotten to put shields on it. And after they wrecked a seemingly derelict launch base, some dude stole the ship, it got pinched by reavers, & Splitsie & Capac had to put it down Old Yeller style.
I know this is about a year old, but I recent discovered you can put down steel catwalks over the grinders and it will keep the crud from falling down, and not destroy the catwalks in the process (as of 1.193.103)

You controlled the conveyor system on that ship. Why not dock it up, transfer anything of value, drain the batteries on the ship and then grind it. Also you should make a tug ship using landing gears
It's gonna suck on xbox. As my fav youtuber says, Space Engineers on xbox is Diet Space engineers. Can't mod it, and the controls have to be minimized down since you don't have a keyboard.
are the flyby transports in vanilla on planets? I know I've seen them in space, and the options say random encounters or whatever are enabled, but I haven't seen them above my planet yet. Only hostile signal is the main pirate base. (earth-like planet start, I think)
I don't understand how your large cargo containers hold millions, when mine only holds 400k.. I don't see anything in your mod list that changes this. Is there a setting I am missing? Thank you :)
Why would you make it into a pit? That way you cant deal with big ships... Next time make the grinders in the surface, that way you can deal with a 10km long ship, piece by piece Or you could make a ship filled with thrusters and one landing gear to attach it to the ship to be grinded and use it as a "Crane" to lower the ship into the grinders... but, again it works better when the grinders are not so lowered down inside the pit
are the red enemys pther players? like the ships u get and stuff, is that from someone else? or from NPC? because that last ship looks pretty amazing built, tho not exactly practical so wonder why a NPC would build something liek that

Dude, don't be so lazy and start editing your videos. I do not need nor want to see you try to fit a ship that is way too large into a hole that is way too small. Show the key scenes, make a funny story out of it, and I'd actually enjoy it. There's potential in your stuff I guess, but your refusal to edit makes it tiresome to watch your videos.
Sounds like a personal problem to me. I personally enjoyed watching the ship get ground down, and his failed efforts to make it fit. If you don’t wanna watch it, don’t watch it, but don’t think you’re better than him.

Neither did I say that Im better than him, nor is the "dont like it, dont watch it" argument suitable here. I dont watch him anymore, for the exact reasons I mentioned. I do however think it might be helpful to the channel-owner if I state my reasons for disliking his content - you know, rather than just leaving him in the dark. You on the other hand seem to have some severe case of bite-reflex.
Grinders salvage the contents while grinding, so you don't have to get the Uranium out of the reactors.

Small grids can use large cargos too. Look into conveyor sorters for automatic load and unload for your transportation vessels to save time.

It may have been more efficient to create a grinding pit 6 wide by 20 or so long. I have one 6 wide by 30 long in my world which is pretty efficient.

continues to keep rotating ship making it more difficult, just cut off the parts blocking and that wouldve fixed the issue
