I don’t know what it is at the end of every of your video when the recreation images of those historical figures blink and smile and look around, seemingly at peace, it never fails to move me to tears. Hearing the name Tutankhamun will give everyone an immediate picture in their mind, but I don't think most of us realise just how young he was when he passed. The recreation (just like a real 18 to 19 year old) looks so child-like. Thank you so much for shifting my picture of the boy-king towards a much more realistic view.

I saw a traveling exhibition about King Tut back in 2018 and it blew my mind how new the objects looked despite their age, especially since I’ve known and read about him since I was five. I was eighteen at the time I saw the exhibition and it was really a shock knowing that he wasn’t much older than I was at the time.
Back in 1987 I was fortunate enough to visit Egypt with a friend, and we were able to go into Tut’s tomb - a memorable occasion! On top of that, my friend’s father-in-law was a friend of Howard Carter’s, and actually involved in the discovery of the King’s final resting place.

when I was a child, like 9, I first heard the story of Tut and I fell in love with that gold mask...I wondered if he was as beautiful as his mask...it is wonderful to see the recreations of the boy king.. I always wondered what he would have looked like. thank you.

Great recreation! It's documented that Tut and his wife really loved each other and deeply mourned the loss of their children. It's comforting, to me, to know that he wasn't a child in power used as a pawn his whole life, that he actually had a family and love. His wife was also his sister but that wasn't uncommon in ancient Egypt. She disappeared from records after his death and they have not found her mummy so it's unknown what became of her.
He was wholesomely handsome. The recreation was realistic and believable. Great job. It tugged at my heart strings he died so young and suffered so much.
I came upon your channel because of Netflix's Cleopatra and somehow fell into a rabbit hole. This and many of your other videos are just so well made, that filmmakers should take serious notes. I always expected the young king to look like this and would love to see him in a series or film.

Oh God, I cried a lot when I saw his face technologically recreated, as if it were a part of me returning, I have always been fascinated in search of an image of him since the first time I saw the discovery of his tomb, my fascination with ancient Egypt is part of me, not yet it's him, but it's still better that way ❤

I have watched and read so many things about King Tut and this re-creation was so life-like that I feel like I just met him finally after 3,000 years.😪😄Happy-Sad. This is fantastic. Thank you for the background information regarding his physicality. I have had a deep interest in the Ancient Egyptian civilization since I was in my early 20’s. I am now 73, and only recently my DNA indicated that among my Italian/Sicilian/Greek DNA, way, way back I have a smidgeon of DNA from North Africa, which didn’t surprise me. The Egyptian exhibit is coming to San Francisco, and I am so lucky to be going to see it with a group from my retirement neighborhood. Your recreation of Tut was stunning! Yes, there is profound androgyny to his features; put a black pageboy wig on him and you likely have a person even more beautiful than Cleopatra was reputed to be!

I have always loved history. Watching history documentaries will always be a pleasure. It amazes me that so much time has passed that a lot of people have live and died. Then watching you put a face to the stories I have watched, read, or heard is simply breathtaking. People are not only brought to life, but also they are also humanized. Beautifully done! ❤️ I wish there were more relicts and detailed paintings of his older sister Meritaton, the one who was originally ment to rest in the tomb where King Tutankhamun was found. Her story is so fascinating and she probably died as young as Tut… I always feel so sorry for them, even if they lived loooong time ago but they were just so young and did not really lived. So seeing your recreations of them smiling is just heartwarming! ❤️ It would be wonderful to see a recreation of Meritaton one day and more details of her interesting story!
I gobble up everything about this family since I was young. Everyone was studying WWII in high school and doing reports on it and I was studying the Akhenaten era and wrote a report on Nefertiti, "The Beautiful Lady Comes". I still draw pictures of Akhenaten and Nefertiti and Tut and Ankhesnamun. Why is the world so fascinated by them? I think numerous factors besides his splendid tomb. I feel I knew them in another life. Akhenaten's enigmatic face has always fascinated me, even more than Nefertiti's iconic image. When I got to see Tuts golden mask up close and personal it was mind-blowing.
Truly well done. It's hard to see the face in the masks and statues and carvings, but the transition you show from the depiction on his tomb to the Photoshop image is spot on with all his features. This could really be what he looked like.
I love the history you put into your videos. His life, the poor thing, was so sad. Then to see the recreation in the end, amazing work. To me it makes them so personable and relatable as a living person instead of some statue, painting or mummy (in his case). Well done again!

Then, in 1982, I went to Egypt for a few weeks, & I got to see those same treasures at the museum in Cairo, plus I got to visit his tomb, in the Valley of the Kings. It was all quite amazing, but how excellent it is to see here how he may actually have looked when alive!🌹

Something about your images just make him seem so much more HUMAN, perhaps it's just the motion but he comes across as a person, not just an image. Slightly odd looking, but a warmth and kindness seems to shine from his face. I knew they had done my boy Tut dirty a few years ago! Knowing the Egyptians, the accurate depiction of the face was essential to living on in the afterlife. I think this is spot on.

Meeeee! Read all the books, got my mom to take my sister and I to all the Egyptian museums in Europe, tried to learn hieroglyphs. Okay, I'm actually still obsessed. lol
I was fourteen when I first met King Tut, his parents and his lovely and sweet wife. Am I writing as though I actually knew these people? Well, the book that I read, and I'm sorry that I don't recall the title or the author's name, but it was so well written that this girl child felt that I knew the characters first hand. I read the book around 1964-65, and I believe it was a recent publication. And I have searched for it off and on over the decades. Still, it left such an impact on me. Earlier I had read another fictional book about Hatshepsut and the intrigue of her Court life. She became my Female Idle. It was during this time that I wanted to forget anything about school and dive into learning about Egypt. And I did learn as much as I could from the books supplied to a small town country school's library. Years later I found more books in the college library, and as I had decent jobs that had nothing to do with my love for the Ancients, I occasionally bought books and learned more. A visit to an exhibit in one of the Atlanta, Georgia's museums in the early part of this century made it possible to see portions of those items from King Tut's burial chamber. An experience I would love to relive. During that same visit, another museum had a life size display of the sandstone Chinese soldiers found buried in an ancient grave. I was so excited that weekend. I was in my early sixties, but felt the excitement of a child at Christmas. Thanks for sharing this video. I did enjoy it.

@@ScorpioMojo again that's wushful thinking. Firstly it's Palestine. (Kulubnarti) Nubians had almost 40-50% ancient west eurasian dna, and the remaining 50-60 were nilo saharan east african. They received this ancient west eurasian admixture from the Egyptians themselves who has around 70-80% ancient west eurasian ancestry, whcih they received from early west asian farmers and hunter gatherers such as the natufians and anatolians going back 9000-6000 years back. So yes egyptians share some genetics with the nubians but are definitive outliers when contrasting them with the ethiopians (that is not debatable and genetically supported). Due to the high ancient west eurasian component the ancient egyptians and ancient north africans have... that has always made them genetically and phenotypically closer to what is known as west asians. The more you move down south in north african countries the darker people get due to climate, closeness to equator and also due slight increase in nilotic ancestry in contrast to the mediterannean-settling natives. Don't argue DNA if you don't know it.

Oh God, I cried a lot when I saw his face technologically recreated, as if it were a part of me returning, I have always been fascinated in search of an image of him since the first time I saw the discovery of his tomb, my fascination with ancient Egypt is part of me, not yet it's him, but it's still better that way ❤

When I think of these REAL PEOPLE who lived and reigned and died, were loved by loved ones, had pets, hobbies and lived life….then tucked away in a vault and to be brought out and on display for the world to see after 3,000 YEARS,…well,..seeing this recreation just seemed so REAL. Very emotional for me somehow.

This is fantastic. Thank you for the background information regarding his physicality. I have had a deep interest in the Ancient Egyptian civilization since I was in my early 20’s. I am now 73, and only recently my DNA indicated that among my Italian/Sicilian/Greek DNA, way, way back I have a smidgeon of DNA from North Africa, which didn’t surprise me. The Egyptian exhibit is coming to San Francisco, and I am so lucky to be going to see it with a group from my retirement neighborhood. Your recreation of Tut was stunning! Yes, there is profound androgyny to his features; put a black pageboy wig on him and you likely have a person even more beautiful than Cleopatra was reputed to be!

The collection of Tutankhamen’s Furniture was quite interesting. He had a beautiful collection of walking sticks and a range of folding furniture.
I have always loved history. Watching history documentaries will always be a pleasure.
It amazes me that so much time has passed that a lot of people have live and died.
Then watching you put a face to the stories I have watched, read, or heard is simply breathtaking.

I wish there were more relicts and detailed paintings of his older sister Meritaton, the one who was originally ment to rest in the tomb where King Tutankhamun was found. Her story is so fascinating and she probably died as young as Tut… I always feel so sorry for them, even if they lived loooong time ago but they were just so young and did not really lived. So seeing your recreations of them smiling is just heartwarming! ❤️

I gobble up everything about this family since I was young. Everyone was studying WWII in high school and doing reports on it and I was studying the Akhenaten era and wrote a report on Nefertiti, "The Beautiful Lady Comes". I still draw pictures of Akhenaten and Nefertiti and Tut and Ankhesnamun. Why is the world so fascinated by them? I think numerous factors besides his splendid tomb. I feel I knew them in another life. Akhenaten's enigmatic face has always fascinated me, even more than Nefertiti's iconic image. When I got to see Tuts golden mask up close and personal it was mind-blowing.
Truly well done. It's hard to see the face in the masks and statues and carvings, but the transition you show from the depiction on his tomb to the Photoshop image is spot on with all his features. This could really be what he looked like.
I love the history you put into your videos. His life, the poor thing, was so sad. Then to see the recreation in the end, amazing work. To me it makes them so personable and relatable as a living person instead of some statue, painting or mummy (in his case). Well done again!

I went to see the King Tutankhamen exhibit, in Washington, DC, back in 1977. Then, in 1982, I went to Egypt for a few weeks, & I got to see those same treasures at the museum in Cairo, plus I got to visit his tomb, in the Valley of the Kings. It was all quite amazing, but how excellent it is to see here how he may actually have looked when alive!🌹

Something about your images just make him seem so much more HUMAN, perhaps it's just the motion but he comes across as a person, not just an image. Slightly odd looking, but a warmth and kindness seems to shine from his face. The kind of young man you could picture holding his beloved toy duck and remembering his childhood before the burdens of leadership engulfed him. Another outstanding recreation!

Meeeee! Read all the books, got my mom to take my sister and I to all the Egyptian museums in Europe, tried to learn hieroglyphs. Okay, I'm actually still obsessed. lol

I was fourteen when I first met King Tut, his parents and his lovely and sweet wife. Am I writing as though I actually knew these people? Well, the book that I read, and I'm sorry that I don't recall the title or the author's name, but it was so well written that this girl child felt that I knew the characters first hand. I read the book around 1964-65, and I believe it was a recent publication. And I have searched for it off and on over the decades. Still, it left such an impact on me. Earlier I had read another fictional book about Hatshepsut and the intrigue of her Court life. She became my Female Idle. It was during this time that I wanted to forget anything about school and dive into learning about Egypt. And I did learn as much as I could from the books supplied to a small town country school's library. Years later I found more books in the college library, and as I had decent jobs that had nothing to do with my love for the Ancients, I occasionally bought books and learned more. A visit to an exhibit in one of the Atlanta, Georgia's museums in the early part of this century made it possible to see portions of those items from King Tut's burial chamber. An experience I would love to relive. During that same visit, another museum had a life size display of the sandstone Chinese soldiers found buried in an ancient grave. I was so excited that weekend. I was in my early sixties, but felt the excitement of a child at Christmas. Thanks for sharing this video. I did enjoy it.

@@ScorpioMojo again that's wushful thinking. Firstly it's Palestine. (Kulubnarti) Nubians had almost 40-50% ancient west eurasian dna, and the remaining 50-60 were nilo saharan east african. They received this ancient west eurasian admixture from the Egyptians themselves who has around 70-80% ancient west eurasian ancestry, whcih they received from early west asian farmers and hunter gatherers such as the natufians and anatolians going back 9000-6000 years back. So yes egyptians share some genetics with the nubians but are definitive outliers when contrasting them with the ethiopians (that is not debatable and genetically supported). Due to the high ancient west eurasian component the ancient egyptians and ancient north africans have... that has always made them genetically and phenotypically closer to what is known as west asians. The more you move down south in north african countries the darker people get due to climate, closeness to equator and also due slight increase in nilotic ancestry in contrast to the mediterannean-settling natives. Don't argue DNA if you don't know it.
