I bet the difficulty could be made a bit more direct just by giving the imposters a couple different speeds and numbers. Like level one is one slow imposter, then level 2 is one fast imposter. then level 3 is TWO slow imposters, and level 4 being two FAST imposters. or just something like that.

I would honestly love to see this game flushed out. I imagine that all the different maps, more tasks to do per round, more dangerous and intelligent impostor AI, more impostors, and more use for hiding spots would make this a delightfully dreadful experience. Perhaps even a multiplayer mode would make this an excellent spinoff of an already amazing game.
I'll admit, this is a creative take on Among Us. Being a horror game spin-off where you're the only surviving crew member left, it would be very stressful.
I'm surprised Lixian didn't put a countdown to the 2V1 or something akin to a FORESHADOWING subtitle. Granted the imposters weren't all that threatening so there wouldn't be too much comedic payoff lol

Honestly, watching this game its kinda a bit sad to me. A seemingly decently high quality and engaging "do stuff while things chase you" horror game that falls flat due to a lack of progression in gameplay elements and difficulty with a strange emphasis on mobile-like points and microtransactions. The game actually seems good for what it is, its honestly too bad to me they missed the mark overall. Could've really been something, the potential is there. Just make the "imposters" progressively faster each level to encourage hiding and discourage just running in front of them and then running away like Mark did the whole video lol

Basically, Among Us “lore” in a nutshell. It is the same universe as Henry Stickman. The first map you need to start in is MIRA. When you spawn above you is the lobby, which is still a work in progress, and when you check for the anomaly on the dropship task, its a turtle, SKELD. After MIRA you get onto SKELD. From the SKELD you fly over to POLUS, which is named after a guard in Henry Stickman, the one where you the prison, who won a sweepstake and hit to name a planet after him. And you character is an astronaut who works for MIRA and somehow an alien thing is among the crew. Yes, I need a life. Yes, I know the Among Us lore which inly furthers my need of a life.
This looks easier in terms of staying alive and like he said, they announce when they get closer. Real Among Us gameplay is about being a sneaky imposter and staying safe as a crewmate.
Mark tends to avoid controversial games/topics and there was some backlash against the game. I don't think he'll be back to it. I hope he does but don't hold your breath.

But I think it's a mix of the current climate being much more negative about "edgy" humor/content and how the game handled the trans girl in it. I think the game called her a "trannie" or something like that.

I was just watching that yesterday. I think I saw in the comments that it got a lot of backlash because of racism, transphobia and other things. Which it was a little-or a lot-here and there, but it is kinda ironic in a way. It is a NSFW game, so it’s not exactly supposed to be clean. But for TH-cam I can understand why you wouldn’t want to continue it. I still loved the videos he did post
If it was anyone else, I couldn't handle watching them walk past obvious things in horror games. But Mark fumbling around is just endearing. I love screaming at the screen in frustration. It gives an added level of fun. "NO! ARE YOU FLIPPING BLIND!? STOP! NO, BACK!".
Truth be told this game isn’t bad. It’s really interesting and a great fan creation. The resources are there but the problem is that the execution of the monsters behavior is lackluster. The biggest problem with the game is the monsters pathfinding. The only real difficulty increase was an increase to total amount of monsters but their speed and path finding were pretty meh overall. Making it overall easy to escape them. I think if this game made the power and electricity (map disruptions) more frequent and making the players view point when powers out more limited (like 3 meters ahead while the monsters kills you when your within 1 meter) and as the levels progress the monsters move faster (should have a max speed that’s slightly faster than player to force players to use hiding to avoid them instead of out running) and use vents alongside some remodeling of the pathfinding for the monsters. I believe they’ll have a fantastic horror experience on their hands. All that would be left is recreating a few of the other among us maps to provide diversity.

What a fantastic little game! The tasks are accurate (mostly), the impostor chase music was thumpin', the animations, the way blood splatters out the impostors' mouths while they walk, and they just went all out on everything. Even faithful cosmetics! Squeezed a lot of life out of a simple horror game. Makes me see how fitting this kind of horror game is with the Among Us premise. Like a Slender & the 8 Tasks. xD
this audio design is incredible, i love the "youre being chased" music. but then when the second one started following you... there is no music. and somehow that's even scarier. kinda like how on my laptop cry of fear doesn't play any music which makes the sawrunner segments so much worse
Y'know what would be an interesting mechanic? Imagine if the game kicked off, but alongside the tasks, you had to memorize the crewmate's colors, as the alien infected them all and they're randomly active, and every game, it'd be a random color. What changes is that they have unique behaviors; Red would just run at you, purple would hide in areas near objectives, green would sabotage frequently, but hide at one of the two sabotage areas, and has a chance to sabotage the reactor, which you do need to repair on a time limit, et al. Every 5 levels an extra one appears up to 3 at 15, at which you just need to keep an eye on who's active, and slowly learn their patterns.

This looks easier in terms of staying alive and like he said, they announce when they get closer. Real Among Us gameplay is about being a sneaky imposter and staying safe as a crewmate.

But I think it's a mix of the current climate being much more negative about "edgy" humor/content and how the game handled the trans girl in it. I think the game called her a "trannie" or something like that.

I was just watching that yesterday. I think I saw in the comments that it got a lot of backlash because of racism, transphobia and other things. Which it was a little-or a lot-here and there, but it is kinda ironic in a way. It is a NSFW game, so it’s not exactly supposed to be clean. But for TH-cam I can understand why you wouldn’t want to continue it. I still loved the videos he did post

Truth be told this game isn’t bad. It’s really interesting and a great fan creation. The resources are there but the problem is that the execution of the monsters behavior is lackluster. The biggest problem with the game is the monsters pathfinding. The only real difficulty increase was an increase to total amount of monsters but their speed and path finding were pretty meh overall. Making it overall easy to escape them. I think if this game made the power and electricity (map disruptions) more frequent and making the players view point when powers out more limited (like 3 meters ahead while the monsters kills you when your within 1 meter) and as the levels progress the monsters move faster (should have a max speed that’s slightly faster than player to force players to use hiding to avoid them instead of out running) and use vents alongside some remodeling of the pathfinding for the monsters. I believe they’ll have a fantastic horror experience on their hands. All that would be left is recreating a few of the other among us maps to provide diversity.

What a fantastic little game! The tasks are accurate (mostly), the impostor chase music was thumpin', the animations, the way blood splatters out the impostors' mouths while they walk, and they just went all out on everything. Even faithful cosmetics! Squeezed a lot of life out of a simple horror game. Makes me see how fitting this kind of horror game is with the Among Us premise. Like a Slender & the 8 Tasks. xD

Y'know what would be an interesting mechanic? Imagine if the game kicked off, but alongside the tasks, you had to memorize the crewmate's colors, as the alien infected them all and they're randomly active, and every game, it'd be a random color. What changes is that they have unique behaviors; Red would just run at you, purple would hide in areas near objectives, green would sabotage frequently, but hide at one of the two sabotage areas, and has a chance to sabotage the reactor, which you do need to repair on a time limit, et al. Every 5 levels an extra one appears up to 3 at 15, at which you just need to keep an eye on who's active, and slowly learn their patterns.
It eventually becomes Pac-Man, so to speak
And there’s no dead bodies to start with. So everyone is suspicious and they only kill when they’re out of ur line of vision.

These are actually quite intriguing ideas. They would definitely make the game interesting if not a bit harder.
Additionally there should be npcs that are alive alongside the player and eventually die off, so you can never really know who to trust
