    Hi, I hope you are having a great day, you have motivated me to start this challenge as soon as my powder delivers. I was going to mix a small amount of moisturising custard with my chebe to apply but you said you don’t mix them, I just wanted to ask if there is a particular reason why?

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hello love, I apply it the traditional way, this is how the ladies in Chad do it. They don’t mix their cream and Chebe, they apply it separately to their hairs.

    Question: won’t the ends of the hair end up touching the scalp when you’re sleeping? I just want to know how do you completely avoid having chebe powder touching your scalp when you warp your hair to sleep. @Neki Cakes

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The ends of the braids that have the chebe mix are wrapped in plastic tightly then wrapped in a bun. It doesn’t touch my scalp especially while sleeping my hair is tied up into place and holds.

    • @Thiabeautyworld1andonly1
      @Thiabeautyworld1andonly1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NekiCakes Thank you for letting me know. I was scared the chebe powder would have touched my scalp the whole time I had it on for the first time. I put a lot in my hair; the strands and some close to the roots. So, after I saw you use the bags I tied my braids in two parts and put them in a plastic bag on each side. Then I cover my whole head with another plastic bag. My hair is not as long as yours so I was scared it would spread around and hit my scalp. My scalp was itching me sometimes and I had the chebe on for like a week to have better result. I finally remove all the chebe powder but now I'm unsure if I should do this again!!!

    I have a question, I see that you put the powder only on half of your braids and not on the top why not ? Like I’m aware that it can’t touch the scalp, but is it because you don’t want your ends to break off?

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Chebe will clog the hair follicles so it's not to touch your scalp, which is why I apply only to the mid-section and end part of my hair.

    Does your hair feel dry during takedown? When I kept the bag on my hair it was still moist because the moisture was trapped in but when it was time to refresh then I let it air dry this time. And when it was wash day my hair was dry, it didn’t feel moisturized at all. Is that supposed to happen ? And do you think using chebe oil instead of the powder will be just effective ? Thank you ❤️

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When it’s time for my takedown my hair is always moist. Maybe next time wrap your braids once you finished applying your chebe. Well the traditional way is the powder, there’s nothing wrong with using the oil it all depends on your product application/locking in moisture if it will be as effective as the powder.
