Oh Richard, I am so sorry this happened to you. PTSD is a shocker & you hide it so well - always positive, smiling, helping people so much with your videos, making us laugh - the list goes on. You are so lucky to be alive & so lucky to have your beautiful wife by your side. We, your subscribers, are so grateful that you're here - it's for a reason. Believe that! Don't stress about the future, it hasn't happened yet. Live each day one step at a time - you're doing a fabulous job!
You’ve made the right decision and will continue to do what will help you both in the future. No looking back but a lot to look forward to. It may be worth considering, when you are able, to volunteer in someway with helping accident trauma victims to recover. I think you would be great at it!
Your honesty is so pure. Richard I'd just like you and Karen to know, that you have given many of us the insight we wouldn't have had without your videos. We considered retirement in Bali. But now we will just enjoy holidays there without strings attached. We also love Vietnam but as you said we wouldn't want to live there. Wishing you both a fabulous Christmas time wherever you end up. Together, is the best place!
@@BarbaraDay-z1g hi and thanks for your kind words . Living in places will be a different experience for others. Bali and Vietnam may suit you? Merry XMas 🎄
Thanks for sharing your truth and your story. The Bali experience may be a blessing in disguise as you choose to experience more of the world. I hope you are able to release the trauma and what you are making this mean about you because when you are able to let go of any guilt or fear - then you will be able to be free. I love that quote "when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change". Wishing you both all the best on your journey 🌹
Richard I could see the hurt you are going through, you are so brave sharing your story and I hope by doing so it has helped you and others that have similar stories. We bumped into you and Karen a few times in Bali and found you to both to be so friendly, we enjoyed our little chats and we had no idea of the weight you were carrying on your shoulders. You looked so at home in Sanur and it’s a crying shame that other ex Australians could cause you so much unhappiness. But you both made the decision to move on and find your next happy place…..and we hope you find it soon…..wherever it may be as you both deserve so much peace and happiness. Travel safe dear friends and know that you have a lot of followers that wish you well! 💕
Love your honesty.... Looking back, Sanur seemed like your Happy place. But things, people circumstances changed. I look forward to seeing you in Thailand. I have a feeling that Thailand might be the place your searching for. 🙌
Btw i love seeing Vietnam through your eyes and opinion. It really helps me to get an idea of what sort of accommodation is available and what life might look like there.
Hi Richard, it's Vince here mate. It's the bigger man that can poor his heart out like that. That PTSD must really suck but you've already proven your good at what you do with your channel and that so many enjoy what you do. As you say, you have Karen, you survived, it wasn't your fault as you just happen to be there. I just hope you can find it within yourself to do something positive for yourself each day, then something positive with Karen. Build on that, get inspiration from anything that resonates with you. Have a laugh whenever you can. Whatever it is give thanks for it and little by little build on it acknowledge every step. Julie, myself and I'm all sure all the other subscribers are in your mate. Cheers.
Hi Richard, I appreciated your honesty in this video and opening your soul to us. I am sure it was not easy but in itself, I suspect it might have provided you with just a little bit of healing, at least it may well in time. We have never met and perhaps never will, but I have appreciated your vlogging, the content, your happy disposition and the way you have made interesting content for us who watch. Take care of yourself always and you are lucky that you have such a lovely, supportive partner.
Congratulations Richard on your well presented video brilliant Vietnam not finding your routine we can relate to that in Vietnam That’s why we love bali so much it’s just better easier to live there we are thinking of moving there one day But Darwin seems our -lacs at the moment, we love both places Again keep up your positive and well presentations. Karen your art is beautiful
Thanks for telling your story. You have to look after yourself and Karen and do what's best for you. You will lose your mojo from time to time, but know that people do appreciate your videos, and you sharing what you're up to and places around where you are. We get to experience something that we may never get to experience, or might make us push ourselves to experience what you have. Obviously going through a traumatic situation is never great, but sometimes bad things happen for a reason, and it makes you look at life differently. Don't look back, take your opportunity to enjoy life and experience the world and bring us along for the ride, shits and giggles, ups and downs and know that there will be thousands of people who wish they could do what you're doing. So you should feel proud of that.
Thank you for sharing with us Richard. I hope that you and Karen can find that lifestyle in Danang. You are a great couple and hope to catch up somewhere. We are planning to travel again to Thailand in June 2025. Maybe catch up then. Anyway take care both of you and live your best life.
Thanks for sharing your story. I know from experience how hard it is to expose yourself publicly and share personal experiences. It takes a lot of courage and I believe is so powerful in helping not only yourself but others.
well done Richard i have lived with PTSD for 10 years now, im currently in java floating around trying to find a place t settle. it does change people and i dont think anybody would say it was for the better. stay strong
I feel for you Richard and your story touched me. We’ve watched your videos from the start and enjoyed them all. You’re a strong person and the love between you and Karen ( who has been your rock) will make the sun shine in your future dreams. As regular visitors to Bali, and love the Western side, should we cross paths?? I won’t shake your hand but give a man a hug for owning up and sharing your feelings. Stay safe and love each other.
That was very emotional to watch. I can feel your pain and that you are lost. Adam's video yesterday and yours today has given us a lot to contemplate. I reckon Bali is your place despite what happened. There is so much more to Bali than Sanur. Perhaps you need to explore more of the island of Bali and find another place that you love. That is just my two cents worth and comes from the heart. We love Bali a lot and love our holidays there, especially in the far north west. Finding a fulfilling focus after retiring from work is not easy. Once you find that everything seems to fall into place. Volunteer work is a great thing. Perhaps Murray Wilkinson may inspire you. In any case, keep strong. And also, don't underestimate what sugars and carbohydrates in your diet can do to your brain. Anxiety and depression are magnified. Keep these things in your diet low and you will feel way more in control. Much luck with your adventures 🙏
Blessings to you both🙏🏼❤️ Maybe you could look at volunteering somewhere in Danang. Giving to others can be a great way to heal ourselves as we connect with people who benefit from our support and meet other like minded people. I dearly hope you continue to enjoy your life, your travels and each other.☺️❤️
Thank you for being so courageous Richard. It takes a lot to be so vulnerable and we all could learn something from you. Take each day as it comes and I wish you all the best.
I could see the pain in your eyes telling us your story. Thank you for being so vulnerable and honest ❤ We truly appreciate your openness in sharing such a traumatic event and how it has affected you both. You have an angel in Karen, and I wish you both the best in your retirement and travels. We are a similar age to you both and planning to also retire soon. Like you said "you never know what's around the corner". Life is too short and the world is so large. I will enjoy seeing where life takes you both in your travels 😊🏖✈️🛤🌎
Thanks for sharing your story and being vulnerable. Living with PTSD is difficult. The brain fog, you mentioned, is horrific! As for the reason why you left sanur vdo you uploaded, you dont need to apologise. You spoke abt your experience and told your story of why Sanur, no longer felt like home for you both. If ppl have an issue with the video, you were telling your story of how you and Karen were treated. Wishing both you and Karen the best of luck. You will get your mojo back!
Hi Richard, It was very courageous of you to open up about your life in this way. This give us a great understanding of your motivation for what you have done and are doing. These things take many years to process and hopefully come through a better person. I was told by a Counsellor when I had cancer that there are two ways to come out of an experience like that, one is a deeper and more intense mind with awareness of how life can turn upside down in a heartbeat and the other is to just lose yourself in the sorrow and exist as such. You are getting out amongst it and experiencing life in the way many would never have the courage to. We loved your Bali vlogs as lovers of Bali and this year we are giving Vietnam a try so we are soaking up all the information you have to offer so appreciate your work and hope you can find a path forward with some more vlogs for us. All the best to you and to Karen, she is an absolute gem. The woman behind the man is often not recognised for what it takes to support their loved one so I applaud her for her love and devotion. Marriage is something to treasure and I hope you guys find your place throughout this journey.
You were very brave to share this with us and I thank you for your honesty and remember that whatever awaits you around the corner God is already there. You and Karen will find your forever happy place, just keep looking for it.
Big hugs to you both…Thankyou for sharing such a heartfelt explanation..and please know you should never feel the need to apologise..We look forward to seeing where your adventures take you next..maybe Thailand, Malaysia or further afield? The world is your oyster. I just wish we had been so courageous 10 years ago to take a plunge into the depths of the unknown. Bless you both and a Happy Christmas 🎄☺️
Very proud of you Richard - a very hard story to retell and we can see the impact this has had on you. Life is too short, we need to take a good hard look at what we're doing and take the opportunities presented rather than wait. Your words were profound and resonated with both Ian and me. We are waiting for July to retire but maybe we should consider doing earlier - you never know what's around the corner. I hope you find your routine in Vietnam but if not, move on. We enjoy your vlogs but if it doesn't feel right for you, then you and Karen need to do what's right for you both. Continue to be Safe, Be Happy, Be You 🥰
Thanks so much for this vid Richard. I see you both settling in an area with a tropical island vibe, not a big city, i see somewhere like Koh Sumai, Thailand😊
Thank you for sharing your story with us and letting us know about your lifes ups and devastating downs, I'm sorry you went through this but I hope it helped you a little bit by sharing it with us as well. I do love watching all your videos and hope you continue doing them wherever you travel too ❤
You guys together will be okay, life is short and all it takes is an event to change your whole outlook on life. I can understand how you are feeling in Da Nang after leaving the nest you set up for yourselves in Sanur. Enjoy your travels, do food vlogs on all the delicious food you eat every day, stay positive and hey with your investments you can always come back to Australia and buy yourselves a little country cottage somewhere. Take care Richard and Karen. Love your vids.
Thank you for sharing your story. I am so sorry you went through the accident and still continue to go through the aftermath of it. I sincerely hope that shattered picture is put back together for you. Remember don't be so hard on yourself, be kind to yourself. You will find your groove with your videos again. I hope Karen is well. Take care
@roamingRichard I miss seeing Karen on the vlogs, but also understand if she doesn't want to be on camera too. I hope you both have a wonderful Christmas ⛄ 🎄🎁 and a fantastic New year filled with love, happiness, good health and healing for you both.
Oh my heart goes out to you. Thanks for sharing, such a humble and courageous video. Wishing you every happiness wherever you end up. Sending you and Karen much love from K.Beach. ❤
You did the right thing calling out the bullies in Sanur. I never did, with school and then work after, and it perpetuated at my low self worth for years to come. For decades, I blamed myself for being Asian like it was a crime.
wow mate, thankyou for sharing your story, and remember that you are only human. I look forward to continuing to follow your life adventures. My best wishes to you and Karen. Downunderkev
Thanks for sharing Richard. Living with trauma can be really challenging. I hope you are still able to access the right sort of support. I also really hope you find your mojo again. We have loved the videos so far. Hope to see plenty more.
Thank you for sharing Richard. My heart goes out to you. You and Karen are blessed to have each other. In time you will find another happy place to settle. Keep enjoying your travels together.
Mate you & Karen stay strong & look after each other. Please look forward not back re your decision making. Just maybe you could consider keeping your Sanur villa for your base. You both have lots of friends in Sanur who would like to see you again I’m sure. Please ignore nasty people, don’t let them weaken you both. Best for 2025, Baz
Thank you Richard for that heartfelt story. We started watching your channel because there was a raw honesty to all your videos. The future is ours to write. I wish you both all the best for the future.
Richard, I really feel for you. My physiologist describes me as having ptsd symptoms. It's so hard to be the person you are while suffering from it, and certain stress situations trigger behaviours you don't want. Fight or flight. I hate seeing the pain on your face in this video. Try not to dwell on the past, worrying about what has happened. I hope you both find peace. It sounds like your on the right path
Hang in there mate. This was hard to watch but thank you so much for sharing your experience. I know what it’s like to not be grounded, I hope you can find your place of solace and you find your groove.
Oh goodness Richard, my heart goes out to you both. You have laid your circumstances and feelings out for everyone on this channel so bravely. What happened to you was absolutely horrific and at some point I hope you can make peace with what has happened and find your happy place. You have been incredibly generous giving us all an insight into your travels so far and I always look forward to what your next Vlog will be. I hope you continue, but fully understand if you decide not to. In our own circumstances, you have given us perspective as we navigate the early stages of retirement....not knowing what it looks like yet. What we thought we would do is evolving and is starting to look a bit different with your guidance. Take care and look after each other ;)
Wow that was powerful, thank you for being brave enough,to tell us your story. You guys will find your place, enjoy the ride while you find it. Much love to you both 🥰🥰
Thank you for your very honest video. Hubby and i have watched you both from the beginning,(we live in Adelaide , are in our late 50s and looking to jack it all in too. Life is short but you don't realise that until your our age do you? So busy working and raising a family or as in your case, a terrible accident. That just sounds unbelievably awful, i cant imagine, my heart went out to you.I think your honesty is absolutely amazing and I'm sure all your followers on the channel will continue to do so with heartfelt gratitude for your courage. I think when you follow someone on a channel for a long time, it is great to be able to share the ups and downs. Life isn't always a bed of roses even if you are retired in Bali for instance. It also helps others who might be suffering too.We hope you find somewhere to call home eventually. May i ask, you didn't stay in Sanur?. Did you ever consider Ubud . Im only asking because thats where we love to stay. It is totally different from Sanur and other regions. Just interested.Anyway, Bali isnt for everyone. We wish you both so much luck finding your place in the world. Take care .
@@mushy7975 hi thanks for your kind words We decided that Bali wasn’t for us , there are some very positive things about it though Life is to short and as you get older to start to realise this 🙏
Hi Richard - your honesty was wonderful. I was diagnosed with CPTSD 15 years ago and life is difficult. I do not think Da Nang is your place - I think you would be happier in Thailand, just an instinct. I wish you the very best xx
Your courage and vulnerability in this video had me in tears! I felt great privilege as you told your story, knowing how much strength it took to make this very raw and open video. Hopefully doing this gives you a little more healing because you did an amazing job. I wept. You can always make more money but you can never buy more time. Enjoy being nomadic until somewhere feels comfortable for both you and Karen. No regrets EVER! Yours and Karen’s journey inspires my husband and I to keep our eye on our prize - living a slow travel, nomadic lifestyle - together with the love of my life (and his, I’m sure of that 😂), living our best lives. Thank you for sharing and it was beautiful the way you gave so much credit to Karen, who is walking this path of life changes with you, and she has the most beautiful energy in the videos. Goodness, I’m infatuated with her too 💋 Relax and enjoy the ride, you are both doing remarkably xo
Hi Richard , so very sorry to hear what happened to you, we have always enjoyed watching your videos and are so saddened to hear you have been secretly suffering. Please take care and hopefully find your happy plav, wherever that might be kindest regards Denise and Wayne ❤
Richard, I was in tears watching you tell us your story. Your honesty and vulnerability just moved me so much. Your videos are part of MY routine, and I just love it when I see you have posted a new one. You are the kindest man, and you and Karen are so blessed to have each other. Please take good care, knowing that your subscribers appreciate the time and effort you put in so very much. I wish you and Karen all the best as you continue on your journey, and look forward to seeing what you decide to do next.
Thanks for making this video Richard. I think it’s absolutely great what you guys are doing. Enjoy the present moment mate and don’t let anyone or anything spoil this great journey you are both on. Be well.
I’m sorry this has happened to you…. Take each day as it comes and never regret any decision you’ve made. Life is fleeting and there is no room for those regrets. All are life experiences, some good and some are absolutely ugly. Please enjoy your travelling experience. If you don’t love where you are, or have seen all that you’ve need to see there, move on. As a cancer survivor, I’ve learnt to take one day at a time ❤
PTSD is just the worst. Take each day as it comes and enjoy the beauty of everything. Don’t overthink everything. Make decisions when you feel it’s right for you. Thank you for sharing your story. Stay strong. You got this x
Phil and I love your videos Richard and Karen. I get Da Nang is totally not Sanur. One a city one a village. We have been looking at Nha Trang which is smaller and also Hua Hin in Thailand. We are looking at 2 months in Indo/Sanur and Yogyakarta. Then 2 months in Vietnam/Nha Trang and DaNang.. We will either come home or go over to Hua Hin in Thailand then back to Yogyakarta where our son lives. Then back to Oz to make another plan. We have been going to Bali for 25 years, Sanur for the last 10. We have been 4 times this year and last trip was harder with the new Icon. I’m not a fan. Thank you for this video and I’m sorry you have both gone through so much. I hope you rest well and pace yourselves. There is no rush. We love your accommodation vids and look forward to your posts but take the time for you as well. People on YT can be fickle if you love it do it or not. But for those of us that appreciate your posts it’s been great! It’s raining and sometimes it rains for us on the inside too. Take good care ❤
My husband and I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sure you and Karen will find your happy place to stay soon. It's good to travel. Much love and hugs to you both. Madeline and Scott
Hi Guys I just watched your latest video. I’m sorry your life as you knew it changed so drastically on that day and for the struggles you so obviously endure on a daily basis. I could see the traumatic experience in eyes as you spoke and just how vivid the memories of the accident were playing back in your head. As a former police officer I attended many serious and fatal collisions during my career. I don’t call them accidents because these collisions invariably occur because of someone’s action or inaction, lack of attention or poor decision making. Sometimes it’s a medical episode and that’s where I would class it as an accident, no one's fault. Mate your situation could have had a very different outcome on that day, it could have been your last day on this earth and Karen would be grieving your passing through no fault of your own. I had an almost identical collision with my first wife who at the time was 5 months pregnant with our first child. My situation was caused by a heavily intoxicated driver who had made a very poor decision to drive and had only just driven a couple of k’s from the pub he had been at before colliding with us. Fortunately despite the severe damage to vehicles no one was injured. I sincerely hope you can mentally work through this over time and your lingering physical injuries diminish and you find yourself in a better place soon. You never know what life is going to throw up at you and turn your life upside down in an instant, life’s too short, so cherish every moment and enjoy your travels together whilst you search for your happy place. Stay safe.
Oh Richard much care to you, thanks for sharing was your best video to date and you have some brilliant content. Strength and happiness to you both for the future.
Oh Richard! To see the hurt in your eyes from your normally bright TH-cam self, hurt me, and i can relate. If we ever meet I can discuss. As far as your video on why you left Sanur, and then a video made by another TH-camr made me laugh critiquing your video. I left Sanur 1 week ago and yes there are holes & uneven pathing everywhere. Smoke ???? Absolutely! Whilst I was bicycling the back streets of sanur there was SOME places that people are burning rubbish and vegetation on their land. However I’m sure those TH-camrs don’t explore the whole of sanur. Anyways you are right, Vietnam is a totally totally different vibe, I suggest to you and Karen, go back to the island u love……. Bali ❤❤❤🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 Perhaps look for a different area. I’m now looking Kerobokan ( real cheap) whilst I get feelers out , Amed , Lovina . Bali and our lives is SO much more than Sanur and dealing with those expats, TH-camrs and Facebook groups. Talking of that ….. 🤔 I love Karen’s pink hair 🌸🌸🌸. I’ve experienced some very bullish people that live in Sanur and have Facebook pages, allegedly business pages, hopefully they read this comment and the rest of the a certain part of the expat crew and see how mature and judgemental they are, like they are at school. I want you guys to know Sanur is what it is with some Australian expats that think they own the place. I will return in feb to Bali and hope that you guys are back by then. We are to old for this, duck them 🤣🙏🌸 PS : I also know Mossman the place you speak off. Chin up guys, back to Bali and maybe try a different area ? 🙏🙏🙏
@@Debbsydo26 Thanks Deb. It’s just such childish behaviour from adults. I’m a bit how Richard describes himself, no filter and say it how it is. I’m sure all the expats are not like this BUT a minority group. Have a lovely day 🌸
Lives short mate I live in Cairns now semi retirement travelling my happy place counting down my days till my next trip Take car mate thanks for sharing your story money nothing without your health you can’t change who you are live every day ❤
Thanks Richard for sharing your journey since 2021 with your better half Sharon. Your couragious admission about your PTSD was very brave. We are very frequent visitors to Bali/Sanur and we can understand your comments about some ex pat snide and perhaps back stabbing comments. Perhaps they may want to show some remorse now as you both have more backbone than they have. We were in Sanur in mid September and we would have loved to had had a cupper with you both. We caught up with Adam and had a great chat. I have made some comments about Da Nang and Hoi An as we both enjoyed both towns. Good luck for your future and we hope you can inform us about other parts of the world we can discover. Please remember don't le the bastards get you down. You both have the moral compass.
Hi Richard, glad you talked about PTSD. We have been going through this for the last year,as my husband was hurt at work. He has just retired a year too early and also misses his mates and going to work. We to are looking to travel and make the most of retirement. We love your videos and have learnt so much from you. We thank you for your time
Hey Richard and Karen, hang in there mate. We Aussies are behind you. Thank you being open and honest about your struggles. Appreciated by all and helpful for people going through the same thing. Stay positive and know we are all wishing you peace wherever you wander. Hopefully see more videos x
Thank you for sharing your story, Richard. You are a brave man, PTSD is a serious thing. One suggestion though, maybe you and your wife can visit Boracay in the Philippines. It is a lovely place and warm people, and hopefully you guys will like it there!
You are a brave man Richard. I admire you for talking about the accident, your PTSD, your feelings, and your perhaps "impulsive" or regrettable decisions. I was watching Adam from Sanur Diaries yesterday, and he talked about the importance of having a routine wherever we live. I agree with him...we are creatures of habit. We need to feel safe, and we need routine/familiarity to feel safe. Take care Richard 🙏
Adam had great advice, applicable for anywhere you live, including Australia. My wife is lost as she retired with no direction or hobbies. It's a mind set. I encourage her to go back to.the gym and go volunteer somewhere.
Oh my heart goes out to you and Karen just go and enjoy your life and have a routine you are good with your channel keep filming..... Thanks for Sharing Best Wishes ❤❤❤
Richard Thankyou so much for sharing this video. My heart goes out to you and Karen. Obviously it was not easy for you to do this video but in sharing your story I am sure you have made an impact on many peoples lives. I lost my husband 9 years ago very suddenly at age 66. Just started retirement. 2 years later I bought a MHome and travelled Aust and now am travelling NZ. Travel is a wonderful way of life. I’m a bit like you not sure what is next. I plan to go back to Western Australia mid next year and have been thinking about Asia travel. Many thanks for the time and effort you have put into making these wonderful videos. Wishing you and Karen and lovely Christmas and all the best for 2025. Yes you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Live each day as if it’s your last. Love and hugs to you both. 🤗💕🤗💕
Richard never apologise for saying your truth. Bullies should be made accountable for what they do. We wish you and Karen all the best.🙏 Maybe Sanur will be somewhere you go back to and see it in another light.😍
Heart felt 💔, PTSD like you feels like yesterday but it was Xmas 1969 when a family member took the lives of his wife, daughter , dog , himself only survivor his son taken by social services never to be seen again 😢. When all enjoy Xmas celebrations , I just have flashbacks . My family still don’t understand my disdain for Xmas , the family member didn’t have money to buy presents for his family . Life was never the same for the remaining Stay strong , keep busy hopefully everyday the memory fades 🙏🏻
@@roamingRichardjust remember dec to April is high season Lots of tourists Just keep travelling until you find what your looking for I'm sure you will find your happy place in Thailand
Try taking Ginkgo Biloba, its working so well for me, its for better memory and cognitive function. Go to a gym, its amazing for your mental health, just do gentle exercises whatever your injuries allow. We love Danang but I think Hua Hin in Thailand would be more appealing for you to check out, or Krabi Town. Never sell your home in your home country, yes rent out and only rent overseas is excellent advice. As far as Sanur, some people don't like the truth, there are good and bad points about anywhere. We are visiting Sanur soon after watching your videos, so great work. Best advice ever is that saying, " What other people say about you is none of your business". You can't please everyone. I got like you, so we quit our jobs bought a Motorhome and spent 2 years driving around Australia, moved to Darwin for 5 years and got full time jobs before we retired.
@@steveth1000 yes we are thinking Thailand to have a look at . It’s been a few years since we have been there. When we sell the villa we will re buy back in AUS 👍
Yes buy back, at least a nice 2 bedroom unit. We moved to a regional area, quieter and cheaper. You can still travel and rent it out. My pregnant wife, myself and our 2 year old son were hit head on too. Thankfully only at 60km not high speed. My wife took her ages to want to drive again, and luckily we were blessed to have minor injuries and our unborn son was ok. Be kind to yourself mate.
@@roamingRichard that's lovely, life is fragile, as you already know, and I totally get your PTSD, I struggle with my mental health for my whole life. I know no matter how dark the days or nights are, the sun will rise again....the world is there for your discovery.....hang in there, sometimes, what seems to be regrets or obstacles turn out to be our biggest blessings. One door closes, another opens. Take care, big, big hugs 💕
Richard. You need to move back to Bali. Get over the people that don't like you and enjoy your Villa while you sell it. Never have money in another country. Put all your money back into Australia. Buy something you and Karen can fall back on. ( Home unit etc ) Then start again. Travel, take out 3 mth leases and you and Karen can enjoy traveling. Your Supa, you can get it on medical grounds re your state of health, a lot of work but doable. Move to district 1 in Saigon, get a super trendy apartment and enjoy that for three months in a wonderful vibrant city. Get out of where you are as it will soon be full of Russian tourists. Just my opinion and good luck, but don't put up with being unhappy. Lyndon
Richard. I hope you triggered your salary continuance within your super. If not revisit it. It triggers if you can not resume work in which you have been trained. Driving issues since the accident would preclude you from returning to your usual occupation. I take it work cover for 2 years then your salary continuance. Karen is over 60, park all your money in her account. Super international shares. She can access it like a bank. It's 100 percent tax free and don't put it into pension phase. You will have to confirm if you get your super. Which you can for medical reasons. Will be taxed as I'm guessing it's all concessional contributions . If you are taxed leave it till 60. Depending on how much you have of course. Anyway, good luck with it all. It's easy to say but get past the health issues before it eats you and your relationship up. Lyndon
@ I left my job and took all my long service and holiday pay to help fund our travels . I’m not on work cover. Karen has no super unfortunately. Thanks for all the info 🙏

We bumped into you and Karen a few times in Bali and found you to both to be so friendly, we enjoyed our little chats and we had no idea of the weight you were carrying on your shoulders.

Hi Richard,
It was very courageous of you to open up about your life in this way. Hi Guys
I just watched your latest video.
Stay safe.

Wishing you and Karen and lovely Christmas and all the best for 2025. Yes you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Live each day as if it’s your last. Love and hugs to you both. 🤗💕🤗💕
@@foxro48 thank you , Im Sorry for your loss ❤️
Richard never apologise for saying your truth. Bullies should be made accountable for what they do. We wish you and Karen all the best.🙏 Maybe Sanur will be somewhere you go back to and see it in another light.😍
@@shelleykeightley-lw5nz 🙏Sanur has some great things
Well said Shelley
Heart felt 💔, PTSD like you feels like yesterday but it was Xmas 1969 when a family member took the lives of his wife, daughter , dog , himself only survivor his son taken by social services never to be seen again 😢. When all enjoy Xmas celebrations , I just have flashbacks . My family still don’t understand my disdain for Xmas , the family member didn’t have money to buy presents for his family . Life was never the same for the remaining
Stay strong , keep busy hopefully everyday the memory fades 🙏🏻
❤️my heart goes out to you all 🙏
🙏🙏🙏

Go tp phuket
I love karon and kamala or thailand hua hin
Lots of positive videos
👍Thailand is definitely next stop
@@roamingRichardjust remember dec to April is high season
Lots of tourists
Just keep travelling until you find what your looking for
I'm sure you will find your happy place in Thailand
@ 🤞we are hoping so
Try taking Ginkgo Biloba, its working so well for me, its for better memory and cognitive function.
@ oh wow . It’s a traumatic experience. So glad you all were ok . It takes time to heal. Yes we will buy back into the AUS market at some point 🙏
Richard, what about Malaysia or even Ubud? Or Thailand?
We decided to go to Thailand soon 🙏
@@roamingRichard that's lovely, life is fragile, as you already know, and I totally get your PTSD, I struggle with my mental health for my whole life. I know no matter how dark the days or nights are, the sun will rise again....the world is there for your discovery.....hang in there, sometimes, what seems to be regrets or obstacles turn out to be our biggest blessings. One door closes, another opens. Take care, big, big hugs 💕
@@jacquelinedella-santa2451 ❤️thanks yes something will happen 🤞

@@lyndonwerks great advice thanks 🙏

@ I left my job and took all my long service and holiday pay to help fund our travels . I’m not on work cover. Karen has no super unfortunately. Thanks for all the info 🙏
