  • 2 Homemade (DIY) Smooth Q mounts for the RX100 III.
    Test shots are overexposed, sorry about that.
    Both mounts are working great, but maybe the larger one
    (mount 1) is a little bit smoother.

    wow, I'm surprised you got this to work! based on the RX100 wiki, the III is 290g, and the Q is supposed to support only a maximum weight of 200-220g

    • @RandomDutch
      @RandomDutch  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, and also a counterweight of 70grams on the small mount so 360grams total, but if it is wel balanced it works great.

      If you balance a 300g weight (or even more) perfectly, regarding its COG, the motors have to work less than with a 200g smartphone that is not balanced correctly.

      That is correct Sir.

    He Sven.
    Lekker bezig man.
    Waar heb je dat rode plaatje van voorbeeld 2 vandaan en heb je het contra-gewicht berekend of er gewoon iets achter gedaan?

    Do you think this could work with a Nikon d3300 perfectly balanced?

    • @RandomDutch
      @RandomDutch  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the size of the body is to big for this.

    May I ask if this is still working properly as we speak? Like did it ever burn out the motor or did it ever shut itself off from the extra weight?

    • @RandomDutch
      @RandomDutch  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      as long as it is balanced good, it is no problem for the motors.

    • @RandomDutch
      @RandomDutch  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the body of the M50 is to big to balance it properly.

      @jrizzyjerome3450 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @RandomDutch  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    You'd have to be pretty tight-budgeted to have to do this versus buying proper camera gimbals like the Zhiyun Crane M for less than 400$

    • @RandomDutch
      @RandomDutch  7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I am not tight on budget at all, just like to create a DIY project from time to time. for the future maybe i wil upgrade to the Zhiyun Crane M. Here in my Country it cost 480€ for the Crane M. Thanks for you're comment.

    • @KimCalviin
      @KimCalviin 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      100 vs 400 is a 300€ difference though

      I agree and this option takes very little work to balance it! Great video.
