This thing SUCKS!! I just got it and the 1st thing I wash is a king sheet set. It never fully turned the sheets nor did they ever get wet! I have removed the sheets from a COMPLETED normal cycle and there are DRY spots AND 2 large spots where the soap hit it ?? Now I'm washing a King comforter. It NEVER changed positions in the wash. It has no agitator pull inside. The thing at the bottom only moves the items touching it, will NOT move the clothing/items around. Who the hell tested this and thought it was good stuff? I'm pissed. I now have to rent another truck to return it. SHAME SHAME SHAME.
Both of these issues could have been resolved if you adjusted the “DEEP FILL” feature. your washing machine most likely was set at “AUTO FILL” and best chose the water level for you. push the “DEEP FILL” button and set it to your preferred water level when washing a certain load Also, if you wanted your washing machine to agitate harder, PUSH the dial and it should light up “EXTRA POWER.” this means your next wash will put more effort in agitating your load
@@TOOMAMOOT No... we tried it AND, The bedding doesn't get agitated around. We read the manual and tried various things. NOTHING worked. It was horrible. Went with a front loader.
I'm actually having issue with mine, when spinning so hard and vibrating the machine seem to cause it to stopped and I'm not sure why? Wonder if you having the same issue or able to help me troubleshoot this problem? And what could it be? Thanks in advance...
Hello, Nathan King again. The only good news I can say about this washer is that I wasn't the one who bought it. The bad news is that I wasn't the one in control of the decisions of the people who bought it. I have Asperger's syndrome, and, courtesy of my social worker and supports coordinator, I was recently able to move out of my Section 8 apartment housing and into a shared living house run by a husband and wife couple. I am writing this comment barely two hours after the deliverymen dropped off this washer and barely an hour after seeing this thing do its first load. I would never trust this washer to wash my clothes --- especially those which have been involved with diarrhea accidents. It has a wimpy wash cycle that doesn't even turn over the clothes, along with a wimpy plastic agitator. It seems like the only clothes that get washed are those on the bottom where the agitator plate moves. I am so disapponted that the people I live with didn't go with another front loader, but they told me that they wanted this washer and that Home Depot told them that this washer is a very good washer. What fibbers. I'm going to have to go to a laundromat to get my clothes washed rather than chance my clothes with this joke that passes for a washer.

But it was the people I live with who bought the washer. like I said earlier, my only consolation in this matter is that I was not the one who made the decision to buy this washer so that the psychological buyers remorse is not on me, but yes, it still is frustrating to see the people I live with having made the wrong choice for themselves which I am affected by.
Maytag obviously didn't test this machine against people with only the instructions. We want a machine that works without having to think so hard about it. Engineers are assholes.
@DIY Pinto What is the water drop silver button on the upper left hand side? Are we suppose to always push that button before we wash? Manual does not say anything on that.
the worst machine I've ever used it doesn't wash anything.the water is minimal. iI bought it at Lowers and they said it was the company after 2 days . the company said its working its shit
I hate this washer. Consistently off Balance when washing a single set of sheets no Matter what I do. I will buy a Cheap Basic amana next time I need a washer. These expensive washers are garbage. My moms washer lasted 20+ years and it was a basic whirlpool ugh
Yeah, no joke. This literally didn’t have anything to do with the user manual. I didn’t explain anything I’m trying to figure out to put water in the fucking thing and I will fill.
You can change the water level by pushing the “DEEP FILL” button for certain settings. For example, select the NORMAL setting on the dial and change the “DEEP FILL” to HIGH if you have a large load or MEDIUM if you have a medium load. The reason why you might be having issues because the “DEEP FILL” setting might’ve been set at AUTO FILL. All this setting does it sense how heavy your load is and pours an inaccurate amount of water.
O you are up set .l am to .this is what I do on.mine . I push the button down Put tape on it to hold it down.then l can keep the lid up .and l put more water in it from my wash room sink. Then another thing if you put wet close in it .works some time . And some times it gives . Close the door . So then in plug . Seconds then.plug it back up .touch the start button on.
I thought buying this washer would be the ultimate upgrade. I don't like it. Clothes get bunched up and twisted. It seems to take forever to wash a load. I don't see any way to pause the load and redistribute items in the washer unless the machine faults out. I would have rather spent the money and have my old Kenmore rebuilt.
I totally agree with you 150% I thought we was buying a good one. I don't like it at all. My clothes come out so wrinkle. Just like you, I miss my old Kenmore too 😢😢😢

Well sh*ot that sucks cus I just bought this washer cus my old one flooded my whole laundry room and kitchen and whole tub ring ripped off and was bouncing across the kitchen floor...very bad and it wasn't the balancing or springs or couplers all that was fixed it was somwhere in the motor that had the issue...anyways I thought I was getting a way better washer here with this one

This is a Piece of trash you put your laundry in the washer you put the extra power to a setting say heavy duty cloths are in the washer later when pressing start is tells you to empty the washer this is stupid but that is Maytag for you. After clicking fast temp to say warm it has a time on it and later turns off. This washing machine is nothing but junk if I was in a managerial position I would get rid of all Maytabs they are useless.

It sounds like you might be experiencing a balance issue with your machine. Have you checked if it's level and properly calibrated?

It's for pre-soaking. It just fills with tap water. Still doesn't help in actually cleaning anything, however.

There hasn't been a perfect washer out there since the 1970's. Before then ALL washers were perfect. Since then, washers haven't been washers anymore.
