I need a tutorial on how to use a Maytag Smart Dryer. I really appreciate this video. I didn't know how to use the washing machine until I saw this video.
Why do all new machines suck? Washing machines, Dryers, Ovens, Microwaves, Refrigerators, etc. They're all so terrible and can't hold a candle to old machines, which lasted a lifetime.
Because there is no $$ in long lasting items. The companies want disposable everything, and We the People are the ones responsible for Mother Earth's demise?? Shame on them (the major companies)
I have this exact washer and I've noticed that on some settings such as Normal/Regular and Delicates, when it is time for the rinse cycle, the clothes do not swish/agitate in water; the drum keeps spinning at a rather fast rate and the clothes stick to the sides. A little water releases into the drum (maybe 2 or 3 cups) a couple of times during the rinse cycle. Is this normal? The clothes do swish/agitate in water when the machine is on the towels or heavy duty setting.
on normal/regular its normal its a spray rinse i have the exact same washer so i use the heavy duty cycle and it will also do a spray rinse on quick wash here a tip make sure to activate the extra rinse function if you use normal/regular cycle quick wash and delicate because it will preform a spray rinse before going into the main rinse
Even my 33 year old top of line maytag does this spray wash, normal. Although I am now looking for a new machine because mine is leaking after all these years
The biggest problem is is Maytag is no longer Maytag. I found out recently that whirlpool I had bought them out in 2006 I have a Maytag washer from 2004 and tried to get it fixed recently and the tech told me that it was a limited edition, so no parts not even a belt is able to be gotten And I was thinking about buying this particular washer and dryer but after seeing all the comments and everything no I won’t be buying it looks to me that Maytag quality has went to shit
My mom bought a Maytag Bravos back in 2008 and what a piece of crap it was. Within 5 years or so the tub bearings went out and replaced them. It always seem to have spin balancing issues and the machine would display "UL" code and stop at the 15 min when the washer was starting to spin smoothly. Moms old Maytag washer never had this issue. Keep the washers simple to use, durable and get rid of that balancing sensor! Some engineer needs to be fired from Maytag for making shitty washing machines. What the engineers experience in their laboratory is totally different from the real world in the use of washing machines
First, I had a Kenmore front loader, had to keep pushing the power button. Then I got this peace of S H I T! It says 6 min, but it's been filling up for the past 40 min, just want to blow the peace of S H I T up😮😢😂
I have a model like this and it's a piece of crap. Have had it only 8 months and today it won't run at all. Turn it on, hold down the bottom button below the power for 3 seconds and it goes from SENSE to DONE after making a few noises. I only use the stupid thing once a week with NO HEAVY loads at all.
I’m having that problem now. It starts.. then a few minutes add garment.. it will say wash complete. We unplugged it, then the water started to fill again.
At the start of a wash, it will be "sensing" and then "fill" for a very short time. Just enough to push the soap through, but none of the water stays in the drum. Then it starts "washing". It's being agitated without any water in the drum for about 6 to 8 minutes. Then it will be "sensing" again and then "fill" again with water staying in the drum this time. It does this 3 to 4 times before actually washing the clothes. I don't like the way it agitates without any water in the beginning. Is that what it is supposed to do?
Oh cause I’m over here literally watching TH-cam videos trying to figure out why the hell this thing doesn’t have any water in it and why I did last night when I watched my quilt things that didn’t make sense yesterday and I’ll make sense. Thank you so much for posting that.

yes this process is actually normal and is known as “beating against the rock” back in the old days. The washer agitates the laundry in phases where it’ll fill the drum with barely water (sensing), then agitate, fill it more (sensing), and agitate again, (sensing) and then more water, and more agitation until it reaches its set water height. then the Washing cycle begins.
@@opalsandpearls3443 out of the box, the Washing machine is set on “Auto Fill.” on every load. If you want your water to be at a specific height, change the options using the “DEEP FILL” button. for example, I use the normal setting so I first change the dial to normal, then i push the “DEEP FILL” button to my preferred height. Just took delivery of same maytag model, one of the problems I've run into is ,I load the clothes I put in detergent, I hit the button for tap water to rinse the measuring cap then next I measure out softener and also rinse the cap then if I need bleach I put that in also rinsing that also ,I then close the lid and go to start the machine and its locked up and counting down from three hours to soak ,I further try changing the cycles and I get, "shut off and restart", by doing that it automatically drains everything I put in....the question i have is what am I doing wrong or is there a way to cancel that soak time and unlock the system when it does that .
I would also love a simplified answer to this odd behavior. 😵💫 I was under the impression that the faucet was independent of any cycles. Although I'd love to use that soak function, why am I being FORCED to soak my laundry by default?😶🌫️

That's what I am thinking but I haven't found an answer. Anyone else have this problem ? It doesn't effect the operation of the machine and only happens on start up. Once it was REALLY LOUD ! and sounded like the wheels on a freight train screeching. The machine is over a year old now. I HAVE TO GO WITH THE OPINION THAT THIS IS JUNK. THAT SELF CLEANING CYCLE IS ABSOLUTE B.S. ! ! AND THERE IS NO OVER-RIDE OR WARNING THAT IT IS THE NEXT CYCLE. MAKE THESE NEW MACHINES BETTER NOT MORE COMPLICATED .
I can’t get it to start. We just got it, power on asks what language, then it turns off. WTF? Oh yeah, your long “Heeellllllllllooooooo” is extremely super creepy. Don’t do that
where and when to I put in bleach?
There is a dispenser front right corner. You put in and it dispenses at the appropriate time.
This washer waste water 💦 for no good reason. Worse machine I ever owned. Gave problem from day one. I will never make this mistake again
Why doesn't the creator of this video use a normal voice? Sounds too goofy to take seriously.
First
Just the fact there is a tutorial is a bad sign
After all that loud noise this washer makes.. I was just ready to get some clean clothes at the end.. This damn washer didnt even drain and spin my clothes so that i can dry them. So i took 1 of my shirts i needed. Went outside. Squeezed it out like my great, great, great, great, greatest grandmother. Then i through it in the dryer. MAYTAG is done.
Bro stop lying and turn it on and let us hear how loud that damn washer is. Sounds like it needs fixin. Sounds like its about to blow up. If your in a apartment please dont get this washer. You might get evicted from the disturbance and the noise it makes. If you dont want to panic, dont get this thing.
Excellent!
