Chameleon deserves at least a backstory... He is a character that has always been there so they can literally plug him into any storyline and fit in well as he is essentially a blank slate.
His armageddon ending clarifies that he was around for all of it but chose to stay hidden to not reveal himself to shao but other than that dudes a complete mystery and an easy character to flesh out

With Kitana stealing everyone's weapons and movesets, maybe we should think more about the theory that Khameleon actually replaced Kitana in the new timeline.
I feel like netherrealm is really missing out on a lot of the 3D era characters even if people don't know about them they should at least put them in the newer games and the best way to do that since they've completely wiped the new timeline and the whole time line is bring them in the new timeline that way the old gamers and new gamers can experience those characters once again
I agree but I think part of the problem is some people just want to see the ninjas and robots all the time. Especially in MK11 where some of them are missing.
I wasn't expecting a video on Khameleon, but I'm cool with the idea of her returning, she could've sided with the Earthrealm heroes (like Sareena did in MKX). I like her transparent design and the fact that Khameleon's the first female Saurian we've seen in the series seen thus far. I think NRS just love keeping some of their characters under the radar, like the Khameleon/Chameleon duo.
In the OG/Pre-MK9 timeline her storyline does reveal that she does join the Special Forces/Earthrealm's side as a stealth/infiltration expert after discovering the truth about what happened Zaterra including not only Shao Kahn destroying it by merging it with Outrealm after conquering it, and the fact her own younger brother Chameleon was the one who sold their realm out to Shao Khan due to him being a treacherous scumbag, and her trying to reveal the truth about Zaterra's fate and how her little brother stabbed them, their realm, and their race the Saurians in the back to Reptile/Syzoth but failing due to Chameleon insuring Reptile/Syzoth still believes him and Shao Kahn's version of events forcing Khameleon to go into a forced exile where she links up with the Special Forces/heroes, and heroines of Earthrealm and joins their side.
Both Chameleon and Khameleon should have been in Deception cause returning characters since MK Trilogy was brought back in Deception with more story Khameleon should have been in the Konquest trying to get Reptile to turn against Shao Kahn and the male Chameleon since he's evil should have go after his female counterpart and she tries to reason with both him and Reptile to be good. Since Khameleon the one with a story arc and is good she can be train and battle Shujinko and she puts him on a mission to look for Chameleon or Reptile and they tell Shujinko Khameleon will pay for betraying Shao Kahn or send him to find a item for her or something Chameleon and Khameleon had so much potential.
Sad how fans can come up with more fascinating stories than the developers themselves this was such a misoppurtunity Khameleon and Chameleon should return one day.

Reptile,Chameleon,and Khameleon are the only known Zatteran/Saurian in the franchise that deserves to be in MK11 because the roster is missing alot of characters and they need more love,attention,and development,plus if Kobra was secretly a Zatteran/Saurian,it would make alot of sense.
There's another Zattaran/Saurian in the Mortal Kombat cartoon called Komodai, that could be another candidate for a future MK games too. Also the multiple Reptiles in MK Conquest live action show and Kiri in the show is also a Zattaran as well as her lesbian partner.

He was (Belok) originally a console exclusive developed by said console so he wasn't official his concept carried over as Baphomet the elder demon he was slated for Deadly alliance however using the same name as figure despise by holymen MK devs didn't want to get into politics so he was scrapped
Since MK1 seems to have changed the result of the war with Outworld and Edenia. Makes me think that Zatarra might be either a separate country like before or isn't a slave army country like in the original timeline. I would love to see Reptile and both chameleons (hopefully change the name of one of them to better separate them. Also I think it would be fun if they give them a different moveset. They could still copy other characters but maybe only a little bit. Plus it always seemed somewhat odd that a being from a different realm knew about Earthrealms ninja's. So maybe have them instead copy Edenian and Outworld characters instead. The rumors suggest that Khameleon is a Kameo which I hope is true
Sareena at one point was also considered to be exclusive to Nintendo version as well cause even though she appeared in Mythologies Bi-Han, she was only playable in Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition which was the second half of the MK Deadly Alliance version of the GBA game. She didn't became fully playable on console until Armageddon. Sareena, Sektor, and Bi-Han were only playable in the GBA versions of Deadly Alliance second half game, Tournament Edition but in doing so they removed Blaze and Mokap. Kinda odd how the GBA got better exclusives and secret characters than the console versions as Mokap and Blaze feel like joke characters instead.
I’m glad they keep her obscure. I still play MK trilogy just to play as Khameleon. I don’t want them to make her huge. When she happens it’s badass and always leaves you wanting to know more

technically she came back in MK1 as a cameo. Of course it's payed for though. Also WHAT THE HELL?! There was a whole Saurian themed skin pack in MK11 BUT NO REPTILE?! (I'm still upset about that)
These types of videos are definitely interesting and it makes you wonder if they will ever be placed into official videogame debus through storymode canon instead of just being playable and/or be at least mentioned more often to an extent.
The reason why the N64 versions of MK Trilogy never got the male Chameleon was because of the N64 cartridge limitation. Not only that but Smoke in the N64 version was the Ultimate version whereas the PS1 port of MK Trilogy got the MK3 version of Smoke which is why when you choose Smoke in the N64 version and hold the code for Human Smoke he could still transform into Human Smoke before a match whereas in the PS1, Saturn, and PC version that Smoke can't. Because of that they use the Human Smoke code for Chameleon so if you hold the code down for one of the ninja, that ninja would revert into Chameleon and become in ninja randper mode only changing form between each ninja rather than each character. I say randper cause when you become Chameleon in MKT you had no control of who he could change into, you could only do a special move on who the ninja he randomly change into so because of that he's not really that fun of character to play as but he is a fun character to fight against as being able to change into anyone could offer such a tough challenge.
I read over 100 wikipedia's including main characters and actually more illusive characters most people havent even heard of for a comic/anime I would like to write about and I'm actually currently thinking of character designs for her.i think she is a neat character along with her Male counterpart
Honestly I wish, that, instead of separating Reptile and Onaga after the events of Deception; but before Armageddon, Midway would've let Reptile STAY Onaga and have Chameleon take over his role in the MKA storyline. Basically Onaga just dies and Reptile trys to convince Caro to keep the portal closed to try and stop Taven's progress. It would've made more sense to give Chameleon Reptile's limited role and keep Reptile as Onaga; adding to both characters overall character development and involvement in the story. Also I think Taven should've battled Khamelion at some point in Shao Kahn's fortress or dungeon; basically thinking that Taven is interfering with her goal to get close to and eliminate Shao Kahn. Also she's NOT present at the Final battle and neither is her male counter part
Chameleon was implied to be a Saurian in Mortal Kombat Trilogy but in Mortal Kombat Armageddon he was implied to be a composite being created from multiple souls, like Ermac.
Also, Mokap deserves elaboration just for the actors behind him, Meat and Blaze have good stories behind them, maybe a little hornswaggle action too. Ever cover the deities on earth who aren't Raiden or Fujin?
How did Shao Kahn beat Onaga? Shao Kahn was always scared of him and then gets the W out of knowhere. Is there a comic or something that shows their battle?
How about going over the other members of the Special Forces (other than Jax and Sonya)? We know Sonya had a partner that Kano killed, and Jax communicated with someone (I think her name was Gemini) during the Special Forces game. Malibu also had a Special Forces comic advertised at one point. Plus the official MK1 prequel comic had someone else too, I think.
If it were up to me I'd change them to be the same character, as in a Saurian shapeshifter called Khameleon with no uniform gender. It'd explain the lore hole of Chameleon, retain the lore of Khameleon, and make sense with regards to their changeling-esque abilities
Khameleon story is similar to Kitana story only difference is Kitana was unaware of her true origins while Khameleon does and knows what happened to her realm but both have a vendetta and sought to get vengeance on Shao Kahn for taking each of their realm I see them teaming up both have the same purpose.
Considering how they never gave Reptile or his race much justice after MK4, She and Chameleon never really stood a chance either. Also instead of the different spellings, I wish they could gave them different names just to avoid confusions.
Yeap like Reptile, I betcha if both appeared in the reboot timeline they would have real names instead of codename just like Bi-Han, Kuai-Liang, Tomas, and Syzoch. Maybe they could called Khameleon "Mist" and other Chameleon "Phanto" since he look more like a phantom.
One of the pre-fight interactions for a Reptile mirror match in MK 10 has Reptile question if the copy is Chameleon, which is a pretty good indicator that he is definitely also a Saurian.
Hopefully MK could easter egg the false champion from MK deception. The scorpion lookalike guy in the kamidagu realm select area. Sorry for my ignorance on what things are called and spelled.

He was (Belok) originally a console exclusive developed by said console so he wasn't official his concept carried over as Baphomet the elder demon he was slated for Deadly alliance however using the same name as figure despise by holymen MK devs didn't want to get into politics so he was scrapped

Since MK1 seems to have changed the result of the war with Outworld and Edenia. Makes me think that Zatarra might be either a separate country like before or isn't a slave army country like in the original timeline. I would love to see Reptile and both chameleons (hopefully change the name of one of them to better separate them. Also I think it would be fun if they give them a different moveset. They could still copy other characters but maybe only a little bit. Plus it always seemed somewhat odd that a being from a different realm knew about Earthrealms ninja's. So maybe have them instead copy Edenian and Outworld characters instead. The rumors suggest that Khameleon is a Kameo which I hope is true

That one character that was mainly known for being exclusive to Nintendo versions of MK games.
Sareena at one point was also considered to be exclusive to Nintendo version as well cause even though she appeared in Mythologies Bi-Han, she was only playable in Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition which was the second half of the MK Deadly Alliance version of the GBA game. She didn't became fully playable on console until Armageddon. Sareena, Sektor, and Bi-Han were only playable in the GBA versions of Deadly Alliance second half game, Tournament Edition but in doing so they removed Blaze and Mokap. Kinda odd how the GBA got better exclusives and secret characters than the console versions as Mokap and Blaze feel like joke characters instead.

I feel like the Male counterpart, Chameleon, could of been a creation and messenger for Kronika while also studying the male ninjas fighting styles. They could change his name.

The reason why the N64 versions of MK Trilogy never got the male Chameleon was because of the N64 cartridge limitation. Not only that but Smoke in the N64 version was the Ultimate version whereas the PS1 port of MK Trilogy got the MK3 version of Smoke which is why when you choose Smoke in the N64 version and hold the code for Human Smoke he could still transform into Human Smoke before a match whereas in the PS1, Saturn, and PC version that Smoke can't. Because of that they use the Human Smoke code for Chameleon so if you hold the code down for one of the ninja, that ninja would revert into Chameleon and become in ninja randper mode only changing form between each ninja rather than each character. I say randper cause when you become Chameleon in MKT you had no control of who he could change into, you could only do a special move on who the ninja he randomly change into so because of that he's not really that fun of character to play as but he is a fun character to fight against as being able to change into anyone could offer such a tough challenge.

Honestly I wish, that, instead of separating Reptile and Onaga after the events of Deception; but before Armageddon, Midway would've let Reptile STAY Onaga and have Chameleon take over his role in the MKA storyline. Basically Onaga just dies and Reptile trys to convince Caro to keep the portal closed to try and stop Taven's progress. It would've made more sense to give Chameleon Reptile's limited role and keep Reptile as Onaga; adding to both characters overall character development and involvement in the story. Also I think Taven should've battled Khamelion at some point in Shao Kahn's fortress or dungeon; basically thinking that Taven is interfering with her goal to get close to and eliminate Shao Kahn. Also she's NOT present at the Final battle and neither is her male counter part
Chameleon was implied to be a Saurian in Mortal Kombat Trilogy but in Mortal Kombat Armageddon he was implied to be a composite being created from multiple souls, like Ermac.
Also, Mokap deserves elaboration just for the actors behind him, Meat and Blaze have good stories behind them, maybe a little hornswaggle action too. Ever cover the deities on earth who aren't Raiden or Fujin?

How about going over the other members of the Special Forces (other than Jax and Sonya)? We know Sonya had a partner that Kano killed, and Jax communicated with someone (I think her name was Gemini) during the Special Forces game. Malibu also had a Special Forces comic advertised at one point. Plus the official MK1 prequel comic had someone else too, I think.
If it were up to me I'd change them to be the same character, as in a Saurian shapeshifter called Khameleon with no uniform gender. It'd explain the lore hole of Chameleon, retain the lore of Khameleon, and make sense with regards to their changeling-esque abilities

Khameleon story is similar to Kitana story only difference is Kitana was unaware of her true origins while Khameleon does and knows what happened to her realm but both have a vendetta and sought to get vengeance on Shao Kahn for taking each of their realm I see them teaming up both have the same purpose.

Considering how they never gave Reptile or his race much justice after MK4, She and Chameleon never really stood a chance either. Also instead of the different spellings, I wish they could gave them different names just to avoid confusions.
Yeap like Reptile, I betcha if both appeared in the reboot timeline they would have real names instead of codename just like Bi-Han, Kuai-Liang, Tomas, and Syzoch. Maybe they could called Khameleon "Mist" and other Chameleon "Phanto" since he look more like a phantom.
I hate that they never implemented this character as a full on character in any of the games. There have been so many stories of this character.
One of the pre-fight interactions for a Reptile mirror match in MK 10 has Reptile question if the copy is Chameleon, which is a pretty good indicator that he is definitely also a Saurian.
