Many cultures have stunning traditional clothes but everytime I see something like this I am in awe. I love them all, the cut, the patterns, the embroidery ughh
That very last outfit with that shirt and the bellbottoms looks absolutely stunning and is a gorgeous example of taking pieces of traditional clothing and styling them in a super modern way. Really creative and very feminine imho
The word, " stunning," is a stretch amd overly hyperbolic for the jeans and top. The Ming Dynasty, outer robe,om the other hand, is more in accord with the word; stunning.
American here, I admire and love how gorgeous hanfu and traditional clothes are. I did a project about the history of the traditional clothing in china the colors of the clothes are even stunning the patterns on them are such a piece of art both in modern day and their history
Please. Come up with another adjective in describing these clothes, besides, " stunning." People need to drop it a notch and stop with the over gushing descriptives.

CRIED A LITTLE WHEN U MENTIONED THEYRE HIJABI FRIENDLY .. i’ve been wanting to get a mamianqun for ages and these style tips are soooo pleasing to me omg and pairing with an abaya RAAAAAA MY BRAIN IS SO PLEASED RIGHT NOW .. LOVE U!!!!
Girl,,thankyou for mentioning that traditional Chinese clothes is hijab friendly because I always think it's suitable for hijab, but never had chances to try them and you even proved that by wearing with abaya dan hijab too, that's so beautiful❤❤❤
I m Chinese and when I visit muslin countries,I do exactly that to follow the norm, and it's really beautiful together, I m all for trying this combo ❤
Everything I wear can always be found in my own store! Check out my pieces at nuwahanfu.com!!! 😎😎😎 I had to speed this video up to get it to fit in 60 seconds so that’s why my voice sounds a little strange…GIMME MORE TIME TH-cam
In my understanding, if you do not wear it in a disrespectful way, you can wear it. As humans we can always appreciate beauty no matter where it comes from. Also, I think it helps to integrate westerners to different ways of doing things, and minimize sinophobia @@meks568
Thank you so so much for spreading this positivity and information about Chinese traditional clothing and the main types of it. It’s really beautiful and I love how you explain how to style it and make it look lovely, also with the actual names (not just a weird English version, taking away from more of our already ..Uhm idk how to explain it culture)
Context: Im a white, American man. I watch a lot of youtubers who do (wear\sew\teach\ect) historical clothing. All of it either European or early\colonial American. Im ashamed to admit that until this moment I'd never considered or realized that there were other people out there with other historical fashions. I knew it logically but never crossed my mind that I should be educated in, for example, Chinese historical clothing. I feel like i just noticed another window to look out. Thank you for doing these videos. I got a lot of catching up to do.
" I should be educated" ugh, can smell the white USA insecurity from all across an ocean. Why the need to make it all about yourself? In case you didn't notice, youtube is mainly a western social media, of course that's mostly the historical styles you'll find there. You clearly never had a look at weibo or other Asian online media, cause it's way more common. The sentiment in the message it's ok, but God all this white insecurity is nauseating. Most people in other countries don't know shit about different cultures, you're not special, drop the bullshit
Check out traditional west african clothing while you're at it. I watched a cool short where they showed how West African garments often featured very complex pratterns with simple forms, while european clothing from a similar era had very simple patterns and complex forms.
I really wish that traditional clothing or a modern combination or version of it would get a revival. So many cultures have really stunning clothes. It’s sad that we are losing them. In my country (germany) only one type is kind of worn sometimes but the clothes from every other part of the county are basically dead. And if you can’t sew/create clothes yourself there is no way you can wear it
I absolutely adore seeing people wearing historical clothing on the daily from so many different cultures I love wearing historical cloths as daily wear and these variations in desighns and fabric are just STUNNING
I think the wardrobe is completely comfortable and plus it's very stylish.I would love to have all of it. plus, no matter what size you are you will look good.
American here: I love the Horse face skirts, but I can never find any in my size, gonna try to make them. They are so pretty! All these fashions are gorgeous, and the top styled with jeans at the end is stunning!

I'm white too and I've been looking at their shop - they have a section about it on there that states that as long as you respect it and are mindful of its origins, it's fine! Also to keep in mind to maintain the modesty of the garments and the looks you create with them as a sign of respect. Id feel SO uncomfortable wearing traditional garbs (id feel like im doing something wrong), but id love to wear clothes that still have this silhouette and fit(?). So playful and casual i love it
Ohhhhhhh. These are amazing!..I'm gonna go broke ordering all of these. Ugh!! I wish the website had entire sets(shirt, pants, skirt,or shirt vest ,skirt cobinations as a single purchase)for purchase not just single items labeled as sets. I really like the forest green outfit with the tumeric shaded shirt.
I guess as long as you know what you are wearing and are supporting where it comes from vs random fast fashion money grab ripoffs it could be ok? only she can say though, brazilian here but also very white myself
I wonder this too - my background is Cuban - whatever that is these days.... If the Cubans had/have a culture, personally, it would make me feel happy and excited to see people all over the world enjoying/wearing/living it. It is painful to hear, though I understand the pain behind it for people, that cultures should not be shared and enjoyed - that everyone must only stay in their own little box, and not connect with other humans over as many ways as possible. The styles in this video are absolutely lovely! Long skirts and flowy, beautiful fabrics are so beautiful!
I love how you do this. My aunt gave me a great big box of hand me downs that my friends sneered at and told me were so tacky. Then I get called stylish when I actually wear it out with a mix of modern and retro/vintage. 😂
I've seen a lot of photos of modern takes/stylings of traditional clothes like hanfu, hanbok and kimono because I love the silhouettes and the layering. I've always wanted to try them but my country doesn't have easy access to those kinds of pieces in good quality. So I've been considering researching them to design and sew some pieces inspired by them myself.
I have been looking at hanfus for well over a year ❤ happy to have found your page through youtube shorts 💖 Exactly! Its so hijab-friendly, thats one of the many amazing factors that struck me about hanfus ❤ i was even considering purchasing cosplay costumes simply for the hanfu or a kimono If i were a chinese muslim, i would wear these with such joy ❤
That must be sooo comfortable!!❤❤ Also the WAY that it would be so easy to style slick masc outfits in this. Specially for the gals that want to since it hides curves
When I first stumbled upon your channel, I was honestly speechless and so inspired 🥹! I like traditional clothes more than anything, and I have never heard or seen anything about Chinese traditional clothing! I am a Muslim and I wear the hijab and it makes me so happy that modest clothes are perceived more and more as something comfortable and beautiful! I think people are scared to wear it incorrectly, or that by making it casual they are disrespecting it. But I love your style so much, you're stunning ❤
That is so beautiful!✨ I love the culture and meaning behind it. Question tho if I was supposedly wanted to dress like that would that be acceptable? Even if iam from a different ethnicity? I just wanted to know.. Sorry.
As a Chinese who loves wearing these clothes, it’s safe to say that every one of us will be so happy to see people from other nations wear the clothes we love! We generally don’t associate it with the concept of cultural appropriation and think it’s our credit if more people from outside China is loving our traditional clothes.
These are INCREDIBLE!!! I've always been so fascinated with those pleated skirts! I have a question... how do people from your culture feel about westerners wearing them? Thank you! ❤
I love traditional clothing and I have some pieces. Like you I love to pair with jeans, boots, fancy tennis shoes or blouses and skirts. I’d love more asian clothes. But they can be so hard to find. 😊
I’m not sure of the name of the gray top you wore with the horse face skirt but having it untucked especially with a pair of looser fitting/flowy material pants would make for a great unisex outfit! Love the silhouette of these clothes💜💜💜 (Please forgive me for my wording I’m not super knowledgeable on clothing terminology 😭 )
My girls are way too big to wear traditional clothing from basically anywhere including my own culture 😢 but i still love watching these videos because it's so esthetically pleasing
