      The word, " stunning," is a stretch amd overly hyperbolic for the jeans and top. The Ming Dynasty, outer robe,om the other hand, is more in accord with the word; stunning.

    Context: Im a white, American man. I watch a lot of youtubers who do (wear\sew\teach\ect) historical clothing. All of it either European or early\colonial American. Im ashamed to admit that until this moment I'd never considered or realized that there were other people out there with other historical fashions. I knew it logically but never crossed my mind that I should be educated in, for example, Chinese historical clothing. I feel like i just noticed another window to look out. Thank you for doing these videos. I got a lot of catching up to do.

    • @Cavolfipriecapperi
      @Cavolfipriecapperi หลายเดือนก่อน

      " I should be educated" ugh, can smell the white USA insecurity from all across an ocean. Why the need to make it all about yourself? In case you didn't notice, youtube is mainly a western social media, of course that's mostly the historical styles you'll find there. You clearly never had a look at weibo or other Asian online media, cause it's way more common. The sentiment in the message it's ok, but God all this white insecurity is nauseating. Most people in other countries don't know shit about different cultures, you're not special, drop the bullshit

    I really wish that traditional clothing or a modern combination or version of it would get a revival. So many cultures have really stunning clothes. It’s sad that we are losing them. In my country (germany) only one type is kind of worn sometimes but the clothes from every other part of the county are basically dead. And if you can’t sew/create clothes yourself there is no way you can wear it

      Although what the person above me said is true, most of the things people from outside a culture aren't allowed to wear are of spiritual or religious nature, and as such, you'll likely be told up front that you're not allowed to wear it, so don't be too scared.

      I'm white too and I've been looking at their shop - they have a section about it on there that states that as long as you respect it and are mindful of its origins, it's fine! Also to keep in mind to maintain the modesty of the garments and the looks you create with them as a sign of respect. Obviously that's just this shop and I'm white too so I might not have the full picture. I know it's different from Chinese clothing, but I have family in Japan and they have similar feelings about traditional Japanese clothing like kimonos and yukatas - they're fine for white people to wear as long as you do so respectfully, without mockery

If the Cubans had/have a culture, personally, it would make me feel happy and excited to see people all over the world enjoying/wearing/living it. It is painful to hear, though I understand the pain behind it for people, that cultures should not be shared and enjoyed - that everyone must only stay in their own little box, and not connect with other humans over as many ways as possible. The styles in this video are absolutely lovely! Long skirts and flowy, beautiful fabrics are so beautiful!

    I love how you paired the different pieces. Great suggestions.

    it's so cute. Another thing: traditional clothing can also be made with different materials that are accesible in the modern age. For example, back then silk was widely used to create these but you can use cotton, polyester, add some leather here and there, ettc..... Love it!

    I love that last outfit! It looks vintage but fresh at the same time. I'm not sure what top she is wearing from her store though

    gosh, I'm in full agreement here. traditional clothing is just sooo so beautiful, it's a genuine shame that we don't capitalize on it enough
