    Shouldn't you look to center the lightbar before sticking it down? Did I miss that step?

    I'd recommend wiring into the taillights. When I wired a light bar into my trailer harness on my '17 F150 XLT the reverse sensors and backup camera did not like it. But like other's have said, this light bar is nice, but I agree, it's way overpriced. I ended up with a $14 60" LED Strip from EBay and with some extra prep it lasts just as long as any of the expensive one's.

    Could use heat shrink tubing connectors, in any case those connection must be protected against water/salt.

    OP7 Redline lightbar is nicer and has sequential turn signal for half the price.

      I have the OP7. 5 years on the truck with no issues. Save your money!!

      @@alexhendrickson6124 thanks for the advice guys. I just looked on OP7s website and it’s 8 bucks! The sequential turn is very appealing.

      OP7 doesn't last a winter in Canada. Salt eats the plastic. Installed Putco after that, 2 years and still going strong

    I wired mine like that and it interferes with blind spot sensors and thinks there’s a trailer connected. How do you get around this?

    Wire harness hackage is not appealing to me in anyway. Cool LED setup though. Is there a plug and play adapter to be had?

    DOESNT THIS METHOD INTERFEAR WITH BACK UP CAMERA AND TRALER SYSTEM?

    Why do you get rid off the conector?

      i was wondering same thing seems like you could just wire in the single white wire and be fine

    Does it show that a trailer is hooked up if you wire it from your trailer connector.

    Is there a fuse on this bar?

    • @americantrucks
      @americantrucks  ปีที่แล้ว

      This does come with a fuse in the kit but there is no inline fuse on the harness.

    • @christianrodriguez2304
      @christianrodriguez2304 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does. The black wire has one. I been having issues with the bar not coming on or super dimmed that it is so frustrating. I changed the fuse and checked all connections but no luck.

    Are there any nice after market tail lights w/ blis out there ? I can’t seem to find any for the 2021 model. I had the anzo’s on my old 2016 f150

    Why would you tell people to wire it to the trailer Harness?? DO NOT!!!!! Hard wire it to the tail light! SMH you will get light faults, and trailer connected! Its okay to admit your wrong, and re shoot a video, especially with your pricing

  • @MrSharkBait561

    For something so premium priced, seeing those individual lights makes it look horrible and cheap. It should come with a diffuser and probably a closer set of LEDs (didn't watch completely)

    I don’t understand any cutting and splitting wires when there are plug and play harnesses on the market that provides a real plug and play. Putco…

      Its ugly to have that hanging out?

      Nope, tuck it under neatly in a small bundle and zip tie it.

  • @loloforge2841

    Careful!!! Can’t install this on the new 2021-2023 models! Dont buy!!! There is a metal bracket under the tailgate just about 8” to the right of the license plate that bumps out about 3/8” and this light WILL be all crooked as it will need to be bumped far away from the metal bracket and the other metal surface so the included plastic insets won’t work. AT didn’t tell you this.
