I like Corvairs, especially the later year body style. I did not know that it has the same wheelbase as an S-10 truck. The aftermarket is very supportive of S-10s so modifying it further for performance should be pretty easy.

DUDE! What an absolute journey. Seriously amazing how much work you put into this. It's actually impressive how fast you got it done too, even if it took 14X as long as you thought it would. It would take many people years to do this. Ask me how I know. Someone told me that when you start a project like this, you have to be optimistic and underestimate how long it will take. Otherwise, the project will seem too huge and you'll never get started. It looked badass at the car show. Very unique. Truly awesome work!

@@kensendlosky7438 I would like to take it to vintage torque fest down in I believe Dubuque Iowa. However my local dirt track has minivans that go out between races to pack down the track. I would like to volunteer to be one of those people but use this car instead. I think the audience would get a big kick out of seeing a vintage looking race car going around the track. As far as the music goes I’m not sure. I used an array of different songs. Thank you for the kind words!

So you're only twenty-three years old. That makes it even greater. It's fantastic to see people younger that still have an appreciation for these older cars. You know floor boarding is what they used to call it. I know a guy I'd been doing it for forty years or more. He set a little car from the thirties onto a Dodge Dakota pickup frame. He used the floor boards firewall something long lines what you did. Cut up the rest of the pickup to make adapting panels for the body to the frame. Left it looking kind of rough and painted a number on the side because we all know a race car is supposed to look a little rough. That man is far older than I am and he still at it. You are carrying on a great tradition.

Really enjoyed the video car looks good man 😎, music was nice too 👍. Reminded me of working on my own stuff, I put a 66 elcamino on a 4x4 blazer, had to cut 10" out of the middle and quite a bit of metal work to get the body low on the frame, replace floors, etc. separated the box like a pickup so it would not crack the body. A simple roll cage would also fix the problem since truck frames are like spaghetti.
Working on a way easier resto mod 72 Chevelle now, so far it's been a breeze not having to fabricate much of anything besides fixing a bit of rust and throwing parts at it😆 Anyway, nice work man.

I was thinking of doing something similar with my 57 Chevy because my frame is bad. But there would be welding to do on the S10 frame. You did great on this!
