I am surprised there is no mention of the CLK GTR. That caused the whole competition to just withdraw instead of trying to beat the thing.
Definitely also a great contender for this list
along with CLK GTR and its LM counterpart (which are NOT to be confused with the flight taking CLR), comes the Maserati MC12 GT1 and the Corvette C6.R GT1
CLK LM was the dominant one that won every race it ever entered except for, ironically, its debut outing at Le Mans.

you forgot the porsche 917! not only did it dominate in lemans, i later years the 917/30 variant (which developed 1500hp in the 1970s btw) even managed to get the can-am championship canceled because every other manufacturer apart from porsche pulled out

@@henryhallam5270 that depends on how you see it. it made 1500hp with the dialed back race setup but all out on the dyno it made 1700hp
@@zocker5786 I just searched it up and it was only capable of producing 1580hp at full capacity, and it made 1100hp maybe a bit more in the race, it was from the porche website asswell, so yea.

@@lous2187senna never drove the type 79, let alone win in it. It also only won one championship and 6 races total. It was the fastest car yes, but the brabham and Ferrari also won races.
Even more the following year Jody scheckter won the drivers totale. The still in use lotus 79 did not win a single race.
So the 79 does not belong on the list at all
@@lous2187 Mazda 787B wasn't actually that good compared to its competition. It just happened that day to be more reliable than its competitors. A stroke of luck.

Surprised the Lancia Delta Integrale didn't get an honourable mention given it was 6 consecutive WRC titles in a row before pulling out.
Lancia Delta. I believe six W.R.C. consecutive with the same car is worth mentioning.
Absolutely, and for the creator of this video to visually hint that the Quattro is arguably the best (after telling us the Polo was statistically the best over a very short period) is just showing utter ignorance of Rally. The Delta absolutely trounced everything else... it's the definition of this video! TH-cam, you need to work on your algorithms; I seem to be getting a lot of junk in my feed of late!

The most dominant car, with 100% success rate in Stock Car (not to be confused with NASCAR) was the Chevy Opala. I mean, it was the only one to show up in the years it competed

Volkswagen Polo RX1e with Johan Kristofferson got like a 85% win rate in World RX between 2022 and 2023 until the Lydden Hill incident on RX1e cars. That car is a monster.
I'd say a 917 should've been included. Either a 917k, 917/20 or a 917/30 Turbopanzer
True, especially the Can-Am 917s were almost similarly "category-killers" like the R32. They were so dominant that they implemented fuel regulations, and as Porsche pulled out, the category it raced in was scrapped. Can-Am still lived on though, only to be paused by the oil crisis shortly after (which is quite funny that they went from some of the thirstiest race cars ever to a fuel limit and then to no racing at all due to a fuel shortage in the span of three consecutive seasons)

1950, ALFA Romeo 158 - First car to ever have won the Formula 1 Championship, it sweeped the first three positions in the Driver's Championship (winning with Giuseppe Farina, followed by Juan Manuel Fangio and Luigi Fagioli) by winning all six races it entered, only missing the Indy 500 which no European constructor anyway joined. That's a perfect 100% success rate.

For me the Polo WRC will always be my favorite rally car. I got into rallying bc of it, as a lil kid I'd get a magazine every week or so, reading about the Polo winning another event and being happy about it. I still remember the sadness when I heard it would never race again and on games, I would immediately pick it.

RB19 was the most dominant car ever in F1 but before that was the previous dominant car the Mclaren Honda MP4/4 that won 15 out of 16 races (93,75 %) in the 1988 season, with a Honda RA168E V6 turbo and it had 2 of the greatest drivers ever and the best 2 drivers lineup , the champion of that year Ayrton Senna (3 times WDC) and his teammate Alain Prost (4 times WDC)

I don't remember the exact car, I think it was the Brabham BT42, whatever the one that won the swedish grand prix in 1982 was, technically dominated more than any other car ever made. It was only ever entered into that race before being made illegal in F1, and it was so much faster than anything else that the drivers were told to intentionally drive slower in practice and qualifying so there weren't any suspicions raised until after the race

McLaren MP4/4, 1988. Senna and Prost with 15 wins from 16 grands prix, 15 poles, 10 fastest laps and 1003 laps led from a total of 1031. Furthermore this was a time of fast but fragile machines, manual gearboxes that needed to be “heel and toed” and grenade engines for qualifying. For me it eclipses the CFD designed stuff of today.

No, because it didn't dominate, apart from leman it's best position were 5th and that was it's championship standing for the 1991 WSC season
787B was slow. The only reason it won LeMans is because most other cars broke down or were handicapped by carrying some extra weight

An honorable mention is the CLK GTR and E46 M3 GTR
It may not have won too many races, but nothing else came close to beating the Audi Quattro as much as the Lancia 037.
In a group B the most successful car was the Peugeot 205.

I was about to mention the Porsche 917, but glad somebody else did. Except they failed to mention this: A car with with 90's F1 performance built in the '60s, capable of instilling fear in the burliest of man, only became drivable after the K variant with a tail that actually put some downforce into the car, and a pressurized tube chassis to tell the pilot WHEN it would crack. Tuned for 1500HP in qualify and north of one thousand during actual races, it just didn't win more championships because the massive 7.2L engine made of 2x 911's welded together was banned.
When Porsche doesn't get outright banned, they sweep podiums.
The 1500hp ones were only for can-am racing with twin turbos bolted onto the flat 12 the latest one being the 917-30, but the endurance spec ones never had that much power at any points
After mentioning Porsch, you should also give a shoutout to Porsche, a well known German automaker.

Id like to point out that some of the old WRC chassis were converted to run in the FIA WorldRX championship for 2017, 18 and 20
They won championships in all theyre seasons there as well, missing out on constructors in 2020 due to it only being one car in the team. So the Polo R has another 5 titles to add
So here's a topic idea. Top 7 cars that could (and should) be brought back as a hybrid or (not) an EV). Like the El Camino or Subaru Brat. It has the utility of a small truck and fuel mileage of a hybrid.
