It doesn’t count if you just have a model name that already exists and then put a person’s name after it like the Balboni or BC. Even BB don't count as nobody even knows it so how is that really a car named after someone when it's a 512 first? Those are just models with a tribute instead of an actual model named after someone like the Elise or Senna.

You don't tag a name to an existing model or use initials that nobody even knows. Even the Balboni is better than just initials if you are going to do that. Maybe I'm just more American that way. You want to do something, just go do it. Don't be beating around the bush with it. If you can't because your company won't let you? Too bad. Go start one and do a Jesko or Elise.

MP4-12C as far as I know is McLaren Project #4 and the 12 is a number index for performance parameters compared to competitors and the C is for Carbon which is the tub as well as all the places they use carbon fiber to lighten weight. It would be funny though if someone in the McLaren household was named MP4-12C like how celebrities like to choose weird names for their kids.

The Zonda F is named after Fangio, Horacio's gateway to almost everything related to his company. He shown Horacio's talents to Lamborghini (where he developed a Countach fully made of carbon fiber and aluminium), and i can't remember the rest😅. But i know that the original C12 was going to be called Fangio [something]. And after Fangio's death, Horacio changed the name of his first car and idk why, because it would be cool to see the 1st Pagani as a tribute. But said tribute came afterwards, as the Zonda F (yeah, i don't remember much of the story, but still, i'm telling what i know)
Fangio is supposed to mean Argentinian F1 Champion Juan Manuel Fangio and I had just began thinking about that after remembering that Horacio is Argentinian and born in Argentina and Fangio is from Argentina too like what I had just said so that's why I thought Fangio is supposed to mean Juan Manuel Fangio from F1

i think a "special edition" is stretching it a bit as "named after a person", especially if it's just a trim-level, considering the Enzo Ferrari is not a trim-level but a whole car. I mean the car's name is literally "Enzo Ferrari", some publications call it by default the "Ferrari Enzo", but when you Wikipedia the car, the name is arranged in the same order as the car's namesake founder. Very few car manufacturers have the audacity to challenge the naming schemes of cars like that, cuz usually the order is as goes: from left to right; model year; Name of manufacturer; name of model, engine specifications (like 4lit V6); sporty version tag (like AMG or GTR); body style tag; special edition tag.
