Oh, cool decoration! Might try it this summer 😊 If you really want to make sure that the crumbs stay in the crumb layer, you could chill the cake once it's on, before you do the outer layer of frosting.
Michael, the cake looked amazing.....if you do weddings at the Chateau you can have that as a side jig you all can make cakes....that cake was beautiful.....but with all the other things you guys have going on you probably wouldn't have time. Okay so I tried making this tonight!! And it turned out great! I’m procrastinating taking a final, and thought this would be fun to do! I basically halved your recipe, since I wasn’t too sure how it would turn out I thought I’d make less, then for the icing I followed just a random food network cream cheese icing recipe, very similar to yours. I popped it in the oven for 25-30 mins at 320 degrees Fahrenheit! It was delicious, Thank you so much for sharing!!!

From one amateur Baker to another if you wrap the outside of your cake tin in a wet towel while you bake your cake it stops the cake edges from over cooking and forming a crust, also help you get a more even rise to your cake. 💕 your rose 🌹 cake!!!
