that's what i've been saying. they're all out here ruining the game by doing stuff like this or showing the "OP CLASS SETUP" and then complain that everyone is using the same stuff. like c'mon stop doing this. it ruins the game and makes it so boring seeing the same setups. i wish it was the old school way of playing the game and finding what works best.
tatri2 Spycraft is nowhere near as good though. Ninja is absolutely mandatory once you get out the noob lobbies, and Ghost feels that way too because of the insane spy plane spam now that any old shitkid gets gifted them
Its already in a difficult spot. Lethals are too strong so people use flat jacket. Also many use paranoia or tack mask. Consider that most people use a combination of those 2 perks and the fact that many don't use perk greed so they won't just use that perk for sure.
I feel like the perk is actually pretty much perfect where it is because knowing the spawns even to good players can be tricky unless you read your teammates movements on the map, of which at that point the perk is rendered useless besides the fact that you get more mini map coverage
Care package rerolls are super powerful. I only called in around 10 care packages today and got 2 chopper gunners. The odds for care packages feel much better than what they were in Modern Warfare.

Most of the times you spawn in a safe place that its not far away of the fight. In mw there were times that you had to run for several seconds to get into the fight. Especially when I started playing mw mostly I was just running into the fight and dying.
I think cold war has fantastic perks its actually so hard to choose what perks you want sometimes. Like even engineer and gung-ho i find them amazing for some reason lol.

Been using this over tac mask for a few weeks now. it's pretty good. considering very few people use any tacticals besides stim it's been a good trade off.
I can see this really coming in handy in Warzone, you might even be able to actually see the red dots that appear when enemies fire unsuppressed weapons.
Something I figured out that you might want to know that makes it not quite as powerful as you think. While there is no maximum range apparently for detecting the spawns, there does seem to be a MINIMUM distance, which seems to be outside your extended radar range. Within that range, they will NOT show up. So on tiny maps like Nuketown, unless you're on the complete opposite end of the map, you will almost never see the spawns, and even when they do appear, they're outside your minimap coverage, so you'll have to open the full map to pinpoint exactly where they're spawning.
what i really love about this game, and its probably the best thing it has going for it, is the perk balancing. ive never played another cod with perks this balanced before, and coming from mw2019 its a huge relief. now they just need to fix the aiming and performance optimization and this is going to be a really good cod game.
Don't forget that this perk also tells you indirectly when the spawns switch so you might not get killed from behind as easily + you can use the increased mini map to make other perks and UAV's stronger
Besides being Mario Bros. with guns, I been using Forward Intel, Tracker, and Spycraft and I can tell you pretty much I almost ALWAYS know where everything is happening and know where everybody is at any given time. Only reason why I even run this setup is because its like 70% of people are sacrificing mobility for accuracy and no one is moving. Combine Spy Plane with Counter Spy Plane and the Super Napalm Burn Your Ass Stafing Run, you are almost unstoppable.
Its good for learning spawns but I thought the same thing when I read what it did. This will be a perk many will choose so that they do not have to learn the spawns and I am not sure if I like that.
So glad you broke it down for us to understand. The larger map will be useful big time. I cant give a honest opinion on the perks yet. Treyarch balanced them very well over the years and so far things seem to balance nicely but ninja and ghost combo can be deadly if youre a run and gun type of person. Cold blooded seems to be only good in Core modes. Perks in the 2nd category i cant seem to find any use of besides gearhead.
It's not like it gives some kind of unfair advantage; it merely gives people who can't read the gameflow a better chance to read the map. This is something most experienced or decent players pick up on without assistance, so really it also puts a ceiling on how good you can actually play as well, since you're missing out on other perk 1 perks. In all it seems like a balanced perk.
I feel this was setup primarily for fire team dirtybomb and quite possibly warzone transition. Primarily for the larger radius and seeing where people are flying into from respawn. But obviously this is taking advantage of smaller game types as ace explained.
This perk is fantastic for those who dont know how spawns work BUT it takes away one of your perk slots so for now this might seem strong or even op but once people learn to live without it they get 1 additional perk which can be massive

It should work like Reconnaissance. The last perk 3 you unlock in world at war. Would be super useful to see all the incoming enemy killstreak information. Like seeing the zone the artillery lands and being able to get a better warning of cruise missiles
I already found Peripherals, the perk that increase the minimap in Advanced Warfare, to be very underrated. Although it obviously didnt show you when and where enemies spawned. Instead it didnt show enemies the death location of players you had just killed.

Honestly, my weakness in every cod has always been spawns, i never really completely learned them and would always be guessing. This perk is gonna transform my gameplay I feel like. My only real strength in cod has always been reaction and twitch aiming, there's almost zero strategy for me lol
It's usually easy enough, CW is unfortunately an exception. With most games, If your team is mostly in one half of the map, the other team is usually spawning opposite. It's a numbers game to determine "safe spawns" So if you see like 4 of your guys running into "enemy territory" and it's just you and another dude on your side, you should turn around if your team gets kills, you're probably in their side of the map now. Unfortunately, spawns in CW are more finicky. LOS plays a big part in it, which means you can spawn behind a wall and an enemy may spawn on the other side of it too. I can snd have walked out of spawn beside an enemy and neither of us realized immediately that we aren't from the same team. This is also abusable. If you have a piece of cover that blocks LOS into an enemy spawn you can peek out, kill someone and go back behind it, the game will now consider that area to be "safe" again because you aren't looking at it directly and will then respawn the person that died on the other side and you just peek out to kill them again. Rinse and repeat This is a fucking atrocious spawn system. It's all the security of a game of peek a boo but instead of a doting parent it's a loaded AK.

I understand the logic behind this, Ace, but I think the players not going through the process of learning spawns will be giving up a lot. For example, tac mask is necessary when up against even 1 player using tacticals since they are so strong, flak jacket is obvious, and they wont have crutches like paranoia or engineer. Its really a perk for new players, good for a few games on each map at most. Keep up the great work!
it's the same decision that leads up to showing the next hardpoint in Hardpoint mode. In previous CoDs you can remember the rotation of hardpoints and you can manipulate spawns for those hardpoints to win. Now the game shows the next point for you.
I really like this perk in concept. I'm a little confused as to why Ghost or Cold Blooded aren't the counters, cuz then it would be a little less useful.
This perk is good even if you understand spawns because you can easily tell where the enemies are coming from in the middle of a fight instead having to worry about getting flanked off an enemy who just spawned.
I think it should only increase map size. It should not tell you where someone spawns. The point of spawning is to get a breather, restudy the map and situations going on the match and then move from there, in an environment that is safe for the player. Getting killed or shot at out the rip feels both unfair and frustrating.
I think if they simply changed the respawn blips to make it to where the regular mini map blips last longer on a person and left the bigger minimap, it would be ok
I think there is a tend in this COD of them taken measures to bridge the skill gap in the average player and top players. With things like this perk how they handled flinch etc. I read a tweet last year that said the biggest reason people stop playing is they feel helpless against good players. I think they want to subdue that opinion a little in this COD so they are putting tools in the game to do so
No way this is a godly perk. I play hardpoint a lot and the amount of times I die from behind without knowing the spawns have switched. Damn ace thank you 🤣
Considering how competitive this game is with the skill base match making this time around, it might be a good thing to have this perk as a way to help more casual players play in a more competitive environment.

I used his practice with the bots and geez oh my did it help my aim a lot before I use to suck booty averaging 0-10 kills now I can go with 20-30 kills average and sometimes 40. This guy is amazing
I think it’s a cool perk. I don’t recall seeing a perk like that before and it’s nice to have something different in addition to the standards. I am also really looking forward to unlocking spycraft. I was disappointed there was no black hat but then I saw spycraft and am really excited for it.
I disagree to be honest. I've never really been confused by the spawns in MW. Atleast in domination they're very easy to read. It's literally just the opposite side of the map from the majority of your team.
I feel this perk should show the direction they spawn (to indicate when like a spawn flip happens and make it where ghost is an counter or counter uavs are a counter....(this would remove its current use)) cause like you said this removes you learning spawn but I feel a perk like this is needed/wanted especially for new players😇
This might be useful just due to how broken some of the spawns are. They will flip at random without your team even pushing the other spawn in tdm. I have had matches where.i spawned on the other team's spawn and as soon as I'm ready to shoot someone, I get shot in the back by someone who just respawned themselves
Imo Perk greed with Flak Jacket, Forward intel, Scav, Quatermaster, Ghost and Ninja is the best way to go in this game. no clue why people would ever opt for any other wildcard as this makes you super saiyan
Depends on the map really. Certain classes use perk greed for me, whereas other classes use lawbreaker with ghost, ninja, and cold blooded on more open maps. I die far less from explosives on maps like cartel, so I would rather be able to run around unnoticed by players and streaks.
And just like that it is no longer the most underrated perk!

ive been using Spycraft ever since i unlocked it. its great to get the sneaky on people who camp with equipment.

About flak jacket, it doesn't do anything in HC modes. You just die whenever you're near explosives.

I think they want to subdue that opinion a little in this COD so they are putting tools in the game to do so
This is designed for new players exclusively. Once you learn how to read the map and learn spawns it’s useless aside from bigger minimap which is nice
Free for all is my favorite game mode and I think this will be really useful for it

No way this is a godly perk. I play hardpoint a lot and the amount of times I die from behind without knowing the spawns have switched. Damn ace thank you 🤣
Considering how competitive this game is with the skill base match making this time around, it might be a good thing to have this perk as a way to help more casual players play in a more competitive environment.

I use spycraft. I like it. I can run around and not worry about mines. I can also hack equipment which is like free field upgrades.
I used his practice with the bots and geez oh my did it help my aim a lot before I use to suck booty averaging 0-10 kills now I can go with 20-30 kills average and sometimes 40.

Since the spawns are terrible for the last years i feel like theres no point on "Learning the spawns"
I think the strong revenge spawns also contribute to this a lot
I think it’s a cool perk. I don’t recall seeing a perk like that before and it’s nice to have something different in addition to the standards. I am also really looking forward to unlocking spycraft. I was disappointed there was no black hat but then I saw spycraft and am really excited for it.
Shocking twist: it turns out Spycraft is the most underrated perk, in fact it's OP.
If a perk like this existed in modern warfare, nukes would be easier to get

I've never really been confused by the spawns in MW.
Atleast in domination they're very easy to read. It's literally just the opposite side of the map from the majority of your team.

Sacrificing my jacket and mask for maps and spawns info is a pretty good deal to me.
Get rid of the red dots when they Spohn locations and keep the map extend like it is on the park
I feel this perk should show the direction they spawn (to indicate when like a spawn flip happens and make it where ghost is an counter or counter uavs are a counter....(this would remove its current use)) cause like you said this removes you learning spawn but I feel a perk like this is needed/wanted especially for new players😇

This might be useful just due to how broken some of the spawns are. They will flip at random without your team even pushing the other spawn in tdm. I have had matches where.i spawned on the other team's spawn and as soon as I'm ready to shoot someone, I get shot in the back by someone who just respawned themselves

The sbmm in this game shows in my graphs. Getting pretty good matches and then getting absolutely owned the next few and the cycle repeats.

The spawns in crossroad strikes are so bad lol. They never flip and are so easy to control
Imo Perk greed with Flak Jacket, Forward intel, Scav, Quatermaster, Ghost and Ninja is the best way to go in this game. no clue why people would ever opt for any other wildcard as this makes you super saiyan
Depends on the map really. Certain classes use perk greed for me, whereas other classes use lawbreaker with ghost, ninja, and cold blooded on more open maps. I die far less from explosives on maps like cartel, so I would rather be able to run around unnoticed by players and streaks.
This perk is huge imo, would rather a different new perk.

Crutch maybe, but not a complete replacement for accurately predicting spawns before they happen. What's quicker: acting or reacting?
