I couldn't help but laugh heartily when I saw that happen. coming from someone who only played MW and CW in the last years i can only really compare my CW experience to MW. that being said, map design has felt alot better in CW. no maps that felt huge for no good reason, aswell as a more simplified map design. no having to keep an eye out on 10 different doors and windows at the same time. proper ninja/dead silence being the next, its quite off putting going from CW with ninja equipped, to MW and hearing just how insanely loud your footsteps are. and lastly, i have much more enjoyed the longer ttk in CW compared to MW. so many times in MW do you die without having anytime to react. this is where i feel CW feels more rewarding in that you can have time to react and survive being shot at. aswell as the longer ttk rewarding being able to keep your aim on your target in a gunfight while firing.
Idk man. In CW u have the field agent foregrip, which makes many guns have low recoil. So it’s not that hard to aim. I think BOCW is good but MW 2019 was excellent. Map design might be better in BOCW and I like having the ninja perk, but the fast ttk of MW makes guns feel powerful and rewarding. A fast ttk is also what most of the older CoDs before it had. The gunplay was top notch in MW. Although not saying I hate the 150 health and gunfights in BOCW. I don’t mind them actually. But I prefer the fast ttk. Obviously u die quicker, but u kill quicker - which also means it isn’t sometimes difficult to get a triple or even double kill like with 150 health.
Another reason why I prefer MW is cos of the setting. I didn’t care for the Cold War era particularly and the modern setting I thought was really cool. The first CoD I owned was BO3 and I’ve played all the CoDs since then (although also BO1) until MWIII (except Vanguard).
I really did like the core gameplay of this. I actually felt like I was getting better at the game, to the point where near the end, I hardly went negative no matter how sweaty the game got.
Same, all these people complaining about sbmm just need to get good. These cod players think that because they played other cods they’re automatically a good player and should go positive in each game. You simply have to practice before you can get to that level.
@@thesituation5315 What you mean with the point of SBMM? I noticed with cold war that the first 100-200 games I went pretty bad.. I had a kd of 1.00… Then after 300+ games I could get 2 k/d games standard and now I can easily get 3 k/d if I try a little. Ive got over 10 days played or something.
the worst thing about cw is that they brought back specialist weapons as scorestreaks and because scorestreaks are quicker to rack up it has the same overwatch abilities spam feeling as bo4.
I really liked the core fundamentals of Cold War. It felt like a true call of duty that can cater to all playstyles from maps to perk variety, unlike MW19, where a lot of the maps were too complex and the lack of a dead silence/ninja perk really put an emphasis on camping, which is why I quit MW19 after 2 seasons. I also felt that the camo grinding wasn't as obnoxious this year (except for the launchers) and the mastery camos were actually worth it unlike Damascus that just seemed like an extra camo they took out of the topography section and called it a day. All in all, it just felt like a true call of duty and I am glad I gave it a second chance
@@AlmightyRager95 In comparison to MW19, I personally think all the mastery camos in cold war (except gold viper) are all really good. But yea. The end goal is just dark matter. I have both of them
While not perfect, I enjoyed this game a lot more than MW. The pacing, gunplay and most of the map design were great. Also the campaign is definitely a top 5 CoD campaign for me. Enjoyed the story, twists, choices and multiple endings and some of the unique mission designs.
to each their own. I thought MW2019 was way better than CW. MW is what actually got me back to COD after my last game being MW2. I just got bored of CW after a couple of months.
Original Miami map was the only map that I thought had bad pacing. Was in a few games there that ended on the time limit. One of them I had 46 kills myself in TDM and it ended on the time limit 😂. Outside of Miami though, the pacing was great on the rest of the maps.
Ive been playing since black ops 2 and am a decent player, cold war has been my favorite cod in a long long time, feels so good to have classic rush gameplay. Radar and simple movement was so nice and still has room for outplays
yeah, the campaign really surprised me. i only played cod4 yeas ago before cold war, so i expected a simple "go from A to B and kill everything that moves" sort of campaign. instead we had a campaing that makes us play stealth missions, solve puzzles, and gives a nice plot twist at the end, with that mission where you re live the memories in vietnam that really mindfucks you if disobey adler's orders
CW def stands out compared to the other recent titles. Felt like a big return to the roots of the game. I loved MW19's graphics and gunplay, but hated the maps and its system changes
I liked cold wars scorestreak system. It was so cool to still be able to earn scorestreaks and not worry about resetting upon deaths. Now i think it was balanced because you still had to do really well to earn really high streaks
I liked Cold War a lot because i felt that it mixed elements from the past with some present mechanics( some weren’t always perfect) I would’ve liked to see the pick 10 come back since wildcards were in the game. SBMM was still toxic, but in my experience, it wasn’t as bad as MW for me. Overall I would rank it 8/10, far from the golden age games, but a “Good” Experience for me.

One of my favorite things about Cold War was the variety of game modes. It always felt like there was something different to play depending on what type of style I was looking for
Yeah i hated the streak system this year too, 1 they aren’t even streaks to begin with cause you can die 30 times and still get the highest streak and 2 the streak system completely takes any satisfaction you would get when earning streaks in previous cod games take the swarm in bo2 for example: when you earned that streak you felt a since of accomplishment and like you reached somewhat of a goal. Meanwhile the ac-130 in cold war while is does take a lot of score to earn you can die like 10 times in a row after going on a 10 killstreak and still get it.
@@Mizaruu I have no doubt they added that into the game specifically for noobs lol.... one of the easiest streaks to get takes out every other streak in the game?? Yeah fucking right lmao
Magazine and optical attachments. Mags where really well designed and diverse. Optics where almost all viable, and had no impact on ads speed regardless of zoom. Perfect.
Only thing I'd change is that a huge amount of them are bulky and narrow your peripheral vision too much compared to MW's sights. The Microflex is king in CW because it lets me see around me.
@@julianscomposer I've used almost exclusively Millstop and Microflex up until around season 5, but I started giving the Snappoint and the Hawksmoor their time in the spotlight for various reasons. Hawksmoor is bulky for sure but the sight picture is unbeatable. Snappoint offers 1.5x zoom with not too intrusive peripheral vision penalty.
Really? I thought all of the red dots were suuuuper ugly(except for the micro flex). I also wish the mags made more sense. 60 round mag the same size as a 30 round? Check. 12 round mag for a six shot revolver? Check. In my mind I always thought the gunsmith was rushed and not thought out.
@@noahcarlson3819 at least the speed mags on a lot of dlc guns actually look like they could hold that amount of ammo, like the 53 round fast mag on the MAC10
First Cod I have played enough to prestige prestige since MW3. The TTK I think actually is the best thing about this Cod cause you have to hit your shots instead of insta death. Also like all the field upgrades and I feel like every gun is good and has their pros and cons.
I REALLY enjoyed Cold War. This was my first FULL Call of Duty experience and I'm so happy it was this game. Multiplayer and Zombies were so fun and I'm happy to hear a lot of people in both communities really liked this game in the context of the other CoDs.

I think the game was fun, the core gameplay was actually amazing. I only quit due to SBMM, it was absolutely horrendous and having fun wasn't a option anymore. Maybe the occasional less "sweaty" game. Gameplay wise, gunplay was solid.
@@promethazine8019 personally I'm going to wait for Black Friday when it goes on sale for $45-50. I'm for sure getting Infinite since that beta was 🔥 fingers crossed that Vanguard is actually decent
I couldn't agree more. BOCW had an awesome core gameplay philosophy where (unlike MW2019) it actually felt good and rewarding to play aggressively rather than feeling like I was being punished for it. Plus, as a primarily MP-focused player for a long time, this was the first time where I really got into Zombies. What was originally just a way for me to level up weapons before taking them into MP turned into a genuinely fun experience, both in the round-based maps and in Outbreak.
Best thing for me in this iteration of COD was zombies. I became a first time zombie mode player, specifically Outbreak mode. After getting continuously frustrated trying the regular round zombies in each game and utterly failing to navigate in the dark plethora of corridors and sealed doors, I tried Outbreak and it was literally a breath of fresh air. Outside large maps where you could explore at you leisure (solo) or plunder wit a team of 3 other players. They kept play fresh by adding new maps for each season and you had a choice of trying to see how far you could last with endless rounds or play a short 3 round game then exfil to safety. Had loads of fun playing this game mode of zombies. Well done Treyarch!
It really felt like what a COD game should be. And at the end, mine and safe to say many player's wish will be that since the game ain't gonna bring a lot of money, please turn off the SBMM for CW.
I enjoyed CW for what it was. It might've been rushed but it was far more enjoyable than MW imo. However my problems with CW are: -Sbmm(can get around it but is still annoying) -Melee weapons(most swing slow,no movement speed bonus,no lunge or swing distance, completely miss targets that are in front of you,and die mid animation.) -Snipers(too controversial to get into but I will say that ill shoot a sniper and its aim doesn't move and still kills me) -Lmgs and burst rifles(kill way too fast even after nerfs) -Visibility at longer ranges -Perk balance -Not enough unique attachments
@@marcusduck The fuck was broken in Cold War? Weapon balancing was better than MW. Skins and lighting weren't messed up and no skins had to actually be nerfed
I mean are you guys pretending World at War didn't have MP40.All Call of Duty games including COD 1 has had OP weapons. Sooo since everyone loves exploiting game mechanics can I blame anyone besides Tryhards.I still use MP5 like it was on Season 1
From a zombies player POV, they did a great job with the gameplay of the mode, as well of story, map design is above average but still fun to play, and the amount of time tryarc listen to the community is great, they rebuff the ray gun, lit the DIE be upgraded, and put a LTM for unslaught on the game forever, for the negative, I would say the lack of personality in the game, for an example the player characters, that’s why Vanguard got me a bit with the old gods, second is the EEs, they feel a bit to, noob Friendly, forsaken ee was a disappointment. Overall: CWz has the biggest amount of player choice, great gameplay, interesting story and the developers listen to the players, but lacks a personality, maps can get boring, and baby’s first EE
@@bigchief8493 I’d say it’s the reverse for me mostly for the less cryptic bullshit ee steps imo not related but the music you can get in outbreak (albeit rng) is so good like generation and Avogadro that you can get
CW zombies is the best in the series. I've never done an easter egg even in Cold War. I end up just getting to like round 30. You pretty much have to look up guides to do the easter eggs as they're not that obvious to someone like me.
@@kevindragon213 that’s fair tbh, BO3 EE steps can be dumb as hell literally none of the void bow steps from DE would be something you’d find without the help of a guide lmao
Also, i think it fit the Cold War aesthetic really well, the guns that were added to the game were really cool for the time period. The store skins were definitely on the flashy/wacky side of things, as they usually are in cod but there were a healthy amount of real world and movie cold war era operator/weapon skins.
Honestly it was alot of fun to play according to lot of people, if you team up with your friends the had barely any SBMM because teaming up with your buddies made SBMM useless I guess. So I don't know man. Can't blame Treyarch for SBMM.Its under Activision
i never cared about my kd even now and then ill get in to a game with uber try hards but that was like 1 in 10 games or so i never really got the sbmm complains my kd is1.4 not sure if thats so low that sbmm dosnt affect me or anything. thing that annoyed me most is the swiss with m82 secondary meta that is so common in 6v6 face off
I loved Cold War more than previous COD’s in the past years. As a whole, I enjoyed grinding this game with my brother and friends, the map designs were fluid and the throwback maps were great. For zombies, yes the lack of round based maps were disappointing and the maps that were added felt stale after a while but all the mechanics and new features they added were relieving. I’m pretty sure the things I didn’t like are gonna be in the 2nd part of the video
After playing MW2019 and warzone, and enjoying the hell out of them for a year, when I switched over and got CW, I found myself enjoying the pacing and gunfights better. I liked the aesthetic of it. I liked the arcade-style jumping, sliding, and shooting. It was just more fun in my opinion. When I hop in and play warzone occasionally, it takes me a minute to get back into the swing of things, as it feels like I'm playing in molasses compared to CW.
Besides the scorestreak system and obviously SBMM, I enjoyed Cold War throughout its cycle and will be playing it into next year since I don't plan on buying this year's cod. I feel like I'm one of the few that actually enjoy this game for what it is.
Cold War is a fun game, I feel like if it wasn't for SBMM we could have enjoyed it much more. You know... without having to play for our lives every time we got on.
I agree with you, this cod imo is the best out of the “warzone” call of duties, i can actually rush in this game, mw i felt punished to rush and i felt pretty bored of slowing down the play style. Overall i agree with ace’s stuff in this video
@@kurokaen1234 i prefer mw's mechanics (besides mounting, it promotes sitting still and takes the skill out of recoil control) but i do wish overall sound, ghost balancing, and dead silence/ninja as a perk were similar to cw. those changes would rlly help mw's pacing and reduce the camping/sound whoring prob, then id have no complaints ab the game maybe besides the val and 725 still being crutches for lower skill players.
@@BlayF13 i will agree mw felt better, but gameplay was imo was terrible, i also think they shouldve done what cold war did like what u said as footsteps and dead silence as a perk. It wouldve been the best cod in yrs but it missed it potential. Another thing i think mw shouldve done was bring back the old minimap. Vanguard is sort of doing that but as a perk which i think it shouldnt be like that
I think its because cold war stuck with the traditional 3 lane map where as mw tried more realism so they made it a 3 lane map with multiple mini lanes inbetween.
I agree completely, people over look the gunplay and movement and mistake it for core game-play and pacing. The pacing yes is slower than most COD games however. MW definitely have the best boots on the ground movement. It was very smooth. The gunplay was very satisfying especially when getting a kill. TBH MW had great Gunplay and movement, if had better core designs like Cold War (More balanced perks, Maps, Footsteps) it would easily been the best COD since BO2.
What Cold War did right... Whew, this is tough. Answering the first couple months of promise would have been easy. 1) higher TTK 2) fun, organic, and dynamic maps 3) real attempts to listen to players, critics and etc 4) awesome new stat listings 5) a general action packed vibe with the whole retro theme 6) I didn't finish the campaign, but even the earliest helicopter flight was great
Higher TTK only rewards one shoot weapons, which amazingly, did happen. Snipers are the best guns in this game. 3 lines maps are good ok, but they are boring, specially Treyarch 3 lines style. And I’m not defending MW2019 style maps with this, they are trash, but looking to older maps like rust, dome, terminal, favela, scrapyard, etc, they have the same “3 line” principle but they are more dynamic, not just 3 vertical lines from end to end like hijacked where you can just run straight on any line. They indeed tried to listen to players but I didn’t saw any great difference after all. Sniper glinch is still the same. Matchmaking was still the same even when everyone hated it. Ray gun on zombies was the best and most loved weapon in the game and Treyarch just nerfed it to the ground knowing how everyone loved it. They tried to copy the gunsmith system and also add the real stats to it, but IMO they did an horrendous job with it. The reason in the original gunsmith was to create a hell lots of weapons and mods to any weapon. For example, you can made an Ak74u out of the Ak47, an G36 out of the Holger, Honey badger out of the M13, baby guns with any gun, almost every weapon had a special ammo, barrel, muzzle, something that changed it completely. In CW all weapons are the same, they all use the 5 same attachments while giving exact stats that only helped people like Xclusive ace, JGOD, truegamedata, etc. No one is really making the maths out of the stats everyday. They started as a Cold War game, ended up in a weird looking game with leds skins retroactive alien stuff, idk, I didn’t liked any skin at all that they added Campaign was great but extremely short to be a $60 game, only 3 hours. This game had to be moved one year for them to give us a better product, not a half ass game with crazy buggs happening still to this day that goes from glitchy graphics to completely shutting down consoles
The zombies was good in this game, it was just borderline criminal how little content we got. Especially when you factor in that most old school zombies players didn't like Outbreak at all, meaning we got 4 maps total over 11 months...
For me personally, the game has only one major problem, The "SBMM" matchmaking and lobby disbanding... besides that it's easily one of the best Cods since the golden era of Mw2, BO1...
To be honest, since I never got to experience Bo1 and Bo2 in it's prime, CW was a pretty refreshing experience that gave me elements set in a time that morphed gaming as a whole. So honestly, there's a lot I like about CW.
cold war is fantastic. in the future people will definitely look back on it. mark my words it will be the last classic feeling cod we get. from here on out itll be all slide cancelling with tac sprint
Just like BO4, I think the gun balance was pretty solid. Every gun filled a different niche in its weapon class and nothing really stood out as being significantly stronger than any of the other guns up until the very end with the EM2
I know a lot of people like to hate on cold war but imo it's a lot of fun to play, the maps are great and this game has fast paced action, I love to run and gun and that's the dominant play style in cold war.
I usually hold on buying the latest CoD game, and I did not enjoy the multiplayer compared to MW. I used to tell my friends, "the more I play it, the less I want to buy it." But then we got Outbreak. Outbreak pushed me over the edge and made me pull the trigger on buying Cold War. They better have Outbreak or something similar on Vanguard.
I also am not primarily a zombies player, however I loved zombies in this game. A played zombies here and there in older games, and bo4 was the first time I was invested. In this game, I have nearly 10 days played in zombies. That leads me to an issue of the game, the xp rate.
I hesitated cold war, but i received it as a gift. While it broke no new ground, as a package, it shipped with a lot of content, 4 major modes. I had fun with all of them.
I am quite an infrequent CoD franchise player but one thing that made me really get into CW was the health bars. It gave more instant reward in gunfights as opposed to the binary survive/lose. The emotional peaks of seeing exactly how near you were from winning a gunfight really helped me track my own performance and want to improve my game.
when cold war announced I thought it's gonna be similar to bo1 in term of gameplay but when I played it I think cold war is the closest thing we'll ever get to a bo2 remaster, the gun play and the art style feels so similar to bo2 I think cold war is a good game overall, and really feels like you are playing call of duty unlike last year.
Really liked this game, have been having a lot of fun throughout the year, I probably enjoyed this game way more than most, same with mw and probably gonna be the same with vanguard, I just really like cod it’s my favorite franchise
Theyre ok at best, if you played in the golden age of CoD over 10 years ago you'd understand why were mad with some things and its direction to punish people good at the game and baby noobs, or punish you once you get good, if you were better back the day you were better thats it, no compensation system part of mechanics or serverside of the game helping the noob and making the game slow paced.

@@Rickiwot I've been playing since world at war on the PS3 and I like Cold War, could it have been better with reduced SBMM and more original content, sure. But I don't think it's a bad game.

I kinda found out that Cold War is a great game. I enjoyed the camo grinding in zombies in the first four seasons and in multiplayer for the last two seasons of the game, but it doesn’t play as slow as Modern Warfare when it comes to TTK.
I realised Cold War is good when I switched from ps4 to ps5. I couldn't immerse with constant pop up of textures and visual glitches. And haptic feedback works great too. I like that I can play with my music instead of focusing on not making a lot of noise like in MW 2019

@@m4a1snerfed I never use those weapon based scorestreaks cuz I die if I try to get a kill with like a War Machine, Hand Cannon, Death Machine, or a Flamethrower.
I didn’t purchase this game not because I think it was a bad Call of Duty but because MW2019 left such a bad taste in my mouth that when Cold War came around, my interest in the CoD franchise was practically nonexistent. But now, I’ve been getting that slight urge to play again so I might pick this game up when it gets discounted over the holidays. One thing is for certain, this game is infinitely better than MW2019 and it’s not even CLOSE.
Cold war did a few things right for me, I looooved Zombies so much this year. I never did any of the EEs before because they could be very convoluted but this year I did participate in it, and while outbreak wasn't everyone's cup of tea I really enjoyed playing it, it was a refreshing take on zombies. I loved the campaign, it was really fun to play and one I'll remember. I loved how it ties to MW and this new universe they are setting up with it and I'm always looking forward to the next bits of story. The multiplayer was fun only in bursts for me but the weapons were always a fair bit of fun. I loved to try and pull snipers shots in Armada.
The problem with ninja is there is no real counter to it. So paired with enemies spawning behind you less than 10 seconds after you respawn, you can't respond to the spawn flip and the enemy gets free kills
This is my favourite Call of Duty since Black Ops 2, I still play today. It gives me mad Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 vibes and I will forever love it for that
As a major Zombies player, I appreciate the acknowledgement. Though this wasn't the most fruitful Zombies experience. It was really enjoyable. The easy to learn hard to master feel they went for with this was amazing. And it got more people into the Zombies community than ever before.
How much are you willing to bet that the same people that hated Cold War, asked for CoD to be more faster pace and action. It boggles me that only now people are praising Modern Warfare if that game received so much negativity at launch over its camping issues
I actually remember why I subscribed to you in the first place! I know this is your opinion but everything just makes sense. So far I shared your opinion on every video (in regard to what a certain cod did wrong or right) and I like how you not only state your opinion but also explain how things would work it if stuff would be different and therefore "worse". As always, great content Ace, keep up!
Personally, one thing I really love is the seasonal challenge system. It's a huge step up from MW, with calling card challenges that are actually challenging to get the Prestige Master Season calling card of that season. Really love that and love that each calling card is unique between both MP and Zombies. In general I love the grind of this game. The seasonal challenges, the daily challenges for a free Double XP token. Calling card challenges in MP, Campaign, and zombies. Camo challenges for the two modes as well. Only thing that sucked is there's no 100% calling card for the standard launch challenges.
I appreciated the fact that all the weapons unlock challenges were achievable in zombies as well. I also appreciate that all the LTMs had limited zombies unlockables. With MW, I felt that the Co-op mode was the red-headed stepchild, with barely any updates or fixes, but Cold War had plenty of updates for their third mode.
It’s disappointing to hear people talk about it in the past tense. I’m a late joiner on CW , I’ve only been playing since the last couple of weeks of season 5. Prior to that I had only been playing Shipment 24/7 on WWII for about 9 months straight. CW has blown me away with Face Off 6v6 and Nuketown playlists. Super hectic and great fun. Love the guns too. Initially I didn’t like how the multiplayer lobbies would break up after each game but I actually really like it now. I’m not getting worked up about rivalry’s and trash talking and can just enjoy the game for what it is. Hoping the updates / bundles keep coming into the future and the player base stays strong! Amazing work Treyarch !! 👑
That’s the problem. A black ops game set in the Cold War, this was supposed to be the next best game after Black Ops 2. I get that the pandemic played a huge part, but in this case they should’ve delayed the game. Now we’re at a stage where the majority of the community won’t remember fondly of this game solely because of the lack of content until right now and the overall aesthetic. This will most likely also be the last CoD to feel classic, as for some reason developers love tactical sprint and slide canceling
i totally agree with you the cold war settings is really neat bc you still have a modernish feeling and there is a lot of story that you can narrate. Where as ww2 settings feel dry af compared to what we are used to (modern combat settings) it really feel like your fighting with stick and stone not a lot of real customisation without breaking the ww2 setting. And it has been milked to the groud at this point
Hi Ace! I've been luving your gun guide throughout the year on CW mp. Really count on it. Thanks for that intel!! To me CW has been my best experience and fav game of all-time. Have bought and played MW2, MW3, BO2, AW, BO3, BO4, and finally CW. I usually get at CHristmas and play through Aug. Not CW, still playing actively now and see myself playing well into 2022. Why? Why not? To me, a big fan of MP moshpit, this game is the reward for staying with the franchise -reasonable lobbies(no longer playing all stars like you and other amazing players). Now, I'm often in top 3 out of 12 in match. -great weekly playlists(fresh moshpit maps almost every week) I now also enjoy Com Arms and 12vs12. I'm just not bored!! -great operators and customizing -great scorestreak system(I play the objectives and I get rewarded) -time to kill fun for me(not too fast) -loud footsteps good by me I don't play with headset All in all, I think Trey did a great job with this game. I have even bought some skins where I never did in past. Yes, it had a slow start with maps but lets face it, it was a global pandemic lol. This has been a great year of entertainment for me. Thanks Treyarch!!!
Love this video. Black Ops Cold War is easily more comparable and fits closer to Black Ops 2 than any other COD since BLOPS2. It gets soooooo much hate for almost no reason.

Unpopular/controversial opinion: We as a cod community are spoiled, back in the day we got a good amount of weapons and maps at launch but that was it for the next 12 months (unless you bought the season pass). No post launch weapons, maps, perks, killstreaks, no character customization, no battle passes, no events. And often no needed weapon nerfs or buffs (like the mp40 from waw). Maybe the games were better back then but the devs havent gotten lazy over time.
Hot take I enjoyed Cold War more than MW19 simply because it didn’t idk feel as hyper if that makes sense, MW19 had its super sweat 0-100 lobbies but when it had its lows it was really low where in CW on terms of lobby and skill gaps between players I felt like it was less of a snooze fest or sweat fest just kinda in the middle. 😅
I feel like Cold War was the last OG vibe-cod we will get anytime soon. They did an excellent job and more to get in consideration knowing they had like 10 month to develop the game. Btw, they broke the game wt the lunch of the Tec-9. They literally mess all the good things they did all year long.
Honestly the campaign was so much fun that I've played 19-25 times. And even people kept telling Jev over a year to play and the way how Zombies, Campaign and Multiplayer maps connected.Like everything about Black Ops Cold regarding Art direction,Art style etc.We have a level design based on Campaign so we have a MP map based in Berlin. And Mauer Der Toten based on that Berlin map. Personally I don't like playing on a 4BC Roman map when a game is based on 2045
CW has that classic COD feel and I REALLY appreciated that after MW19. The gunplay is this game was awesome in my opinion and I really feel like you could totally outgun someone if you were better.
as an hardcore zombies fan, I find myself in the minority when i say this but this is definitely the second best cod for zombies by a long margin, right behind bo3. I never got the constant whining but the maps were solid, we had loads of content and yeah
Where do I start? Positives - dead silence perk - no unplayable maps - no true meta gun for majority of game - dark matter grind was good for most part - shotgun secondary Negatives - perk balance - overpowered perks - no great map - sniper flinch - overpowered tacticals - lack of tactical sprint - lack of mounting I have more but I’ll stop there
Honestly the only thing that killed Cold War for me was the lack of content at launch, particularly the lack of maps. It just got so stale so quickly and I moved on to other games, which is unfortunate because I agree with pretty much all of the positive things you mentioned.
As someone who plays hardpoint the majority of the time, I thought the spawns were pretty good in the game. You could get spawn trapped (at times) when a hardpoint location is located near a spawn area (i.e, the houses in nuketown)
I think Cold War is gonna be one of those underrated CODs in the future. Solid gameplay, fun weapons, great maps, they just missed the mark on killstreaks, but other than that, they created a great game, like Treyarc always does
Cold War pissed me off so much. It would’ve been an amazing game if it came out in 2018. Going from MW19/Warzone back to this felt horrible. Huge step back.
Last night I was on a 23 gun streak and my game crashed... since the haunting event started if I play Nuketown twice in a row my game crashes halfway through the 2nd match... the weird part is that it only happens on the Halloween Nuketown map... I can play any other map without any issues
Gun variety is good too besides withthe em2 and tec 9 introduction, but that’s fixed now and the movement in Cold War is absolutely fantastic honestly really enjoyed this game overall , played so much league play in this game because the maps flowed so well in hardpoint and control
The Pines was the map I liked the least (even more so than Miami) but even those two were still solid to me. I'd rather play them than almost any of the maps in MW2019.
This is the best cod game imo since bo3. It's only real issue for me was the obvious strict sbmm. Maps, gunplay, and overall design for multi-player and zombies were amazing.
I bet in the 2nd part of this video you are going to say that you don’t like: 1: SBMM 2: Low-Key dog-water unpolished graphics 3: Score streak system. I bet SBMM is going to be in the 2nd part of this video.
I mostly did not like this game, but thats for part 2. Cross progression was great, face-off was awesome, i liked the clean and simpler gold camos and dm ultra, map design was pretty good. Zombies was usually pretty good. That's about it.
The game was fun. I really loved how it curbed the camping problem. The spawns were predictable especially compared to MW 2019. I think people who aren't as accurate or don't have good gunskill hated this game because it was harder for them, but that rewarded good players and made the game so much more enjoyable to me. I loved the setting of Cold War. I really hope Treyarch comes back to this setting in the near future as it's an era we don't see much in COD games. I liked league play a lot too. MW didn't even have a ranking system. Overall this might be one of my favorite COD games to come out.
I like Cold War more than modern warfare I hadn't played a COD since black ops 3 so to come back and play Cold War It felt very familiar. I liked the scorestreaks better than the kill streaks because it made the game less campy unlike Modern warfare

Absolutely obliterated him 🤣🤣🤣🤣
coming from someone who only played MW and CW in the last years i can only really compare my CW experience to MW. that being said, map design has felt alot better in CW. no maps that felt huge for no good reason, aswell as a more simplified map design. no having to keep an eye out on 10 different doors and windows at the same time. proper ninja/dead silence being the next, its quite off putting going from CW with ninja equipped, to MW and hearing just how insanely loud your footsteps are. and lastly, i have much more enjoyed the longer ttk in CW compared to MW. so many times in MW do you die without having anytime to react. this is where i feel CW feels more rewarding in that you can have time to react and survive being shot at. aswell as the longer ttk rewarding being able to keep your aim on your target in a gunfight while firing.
I actually felt like I was getting better at the game,
to the point where near the end, I hardly went negative no matter how sweaty the game got.
Same, all these people complaining about sbmm just need to get good. These cod players think that because they played other cods they’re automatically a good player and should go positive in each game. You simply have to practice before you can get to that level.
@@JotechLung Funny, isn't that the point of SBMM...? Please tell me how it works for you but not for me.

While not perfect, I enjoyed this game a lot more than MW. The pacing, gunplay and most of the map design were great. Also the campaign is definitely a top 5 CoD campaign for me. Enjoyed the story, twists, choices and multiple endings and some of the unique mission designs.
The missions where very fun i won't lie however im still not use to the new voice actors of woods and Mason

I loved this game in comparison to MW. MW2019 was such a slow paced boring snore fest

I really enjoyed Cold War. And I feel like it’s going down as one of the most underrated Cod of all time.

The maps in cold war are for the most part trash, and given the camping playstyle that rewards bad players it just makes the problem worse.
What Cold War did right... Whew, this is tough. Answering the first couple months of promise would have been easy.
1) higher TTK
2) fun, organic, and dynamic maps
3) real attempts to listen to players, critics and etc
4) awesome new stat listings
5) a general action packed vibe with the whole retro theme
6) I didn't finish the campaign, but even the earliest helicopter flight was great
Higher TTK only rewards one shoot weapons, which amazingly, did happen.
They started as a Cold War game, ended up in a weird looking game with leds skins retroactive alien stuff, idk, I didn’t liked any skin at all that they added
Campaign was great but extremely short to be a $60 game, only 3 hours.
The biggest thing CW did right was ditch that passive camp style cod.
How? Cw is a slower paced game.
To be honest, since I never got to experience Bo1 and Bo2 in it's prime, CW was a pretty refreshing experience that gave me elements set in a time that morphed gaming as a whole. So honestly, there's a lot I like about CW.
I liked that CW was actually fun to play compared to MW19
cold war is fantastic. in the future people will definitely look back on it. mark my words it will be the last classic feeling cod we get. from here on out itll be all slide cancelling with tac sprint
Cold War is twice better than Modern Warfare and I’ll forever stand by it
Looking back they have the best perk system and I loved setting up exactly how I want to play. Weapons customizing was good too
Just like BO4, I think the gun balance was pretty solid. Every gun filled a different niche in its weapon class and nothing really stood out as being significantly stronger than any of the other guns up until the very end with the EM2
I don't think any of the guns stood out or "filled a niche" they all really felt the same within their category
Exactly
I know a lot of people like to hate on cold war but imo it's a lot of fun to play, the maps are great and this game has fast paced action, I love to run and gun and that's the dominant play style in cold war.
Cold War movement speed was a W I could play it all day
I usually hold on buying the latest CoD game, and I did not enjoy the multiplayer compared to MW.
The emotional peaks of seeing exactly how near you were from winning a gunfight really helped me track my own performance and want to improve my game.
when cold war announced
I thought it's gonna be similar to bo1 in term of gameplay
but when I played it I think cold war is the closest thing we'll ever get to a bo2 remaster,
the gun play and the art style feels so similar to bo2
I think cold war is a good game overall, and really feels like you are playing call of duty unlike last year.
Not even close
Not even close to bo2
This is straight slander
Really liked this game, have been having a lot of fun throughout the year, I probably enjoyed this game way more than most, same with mw and probably gonna be the same with vanguard, I just really like cod it’s my favorite franchise
Theyre ok at best, if you played in the golden age of CoD over 10 years ago you'd understand why were mad with some things and its direction to punish people good at the game and baby noobs, or punish you once you get good, if you were better back the day you were better thats it, no compensation system part of mechanics or serverside of the game helping the noob and making the game slow paced.
@@Rickiwot MW2 rewarded bad players with OMA and noob tubes. Every cod had SBMM
the worst thing about cw is that they brought back specialist weapons as scorestreaks and because scorestreaks are quicker to rack up it has the same overwatch abilities spam feeling as bo4.
@@Rickiwot I've been playing since world at war on the PS3 and I like Cold War, could it have been better with reduced SBMM and more original content, sure. But I don't think it's a bad game.
@@deathtrooper2048 lmao. No every cod did not have sbmm. What a noob.
You never played mw2 did you kid?
One of the best Cods made. I know a lot of people don't like it but I find it awesome. If you like Warzone you'll prefer MW2019 if you like older cod then CW is for you.
Worst CoD ever made*
I like older CoDs yet love MW2019, and hate Warzone and CW.
@@Nazylexx The sound whoring in MW is so obnoxious lol
@@Nazylexx Lower your FOV
the worst thing about cw is that they brought back specialist weapons as scorestreaks and because scorestreaks are quicker to rack up it has the same overwatch abilities spam feeling as bo4.
Its easy to learn easy to master lol
It simply felt more like a call of duty game than MW19
How much are you willing to bet that the same people that hated Cold War, asked for CoD to be more faster pace and action. It boggles me that only now people are praising Modern Warfare if that game received so much negativity at launch over its camping issues
I don't see a single person calling modern warfare a good cod game both cold war and mw2019 are at the bottom of the barrel
I really like this Final Review (Part-1)
I want to see Part 2 Xclusive Ace
Best cod since BO2
I've been playing Cold War throughout the entire year. Multiplayer and zombies are great! Also love the color they used in the game. Really pops!
*I just love the setting. Cold War era games are a rarity. I guess it's because it's a time in history American's don't look back on too fondly.*
Why? Why not? To me, a big fan of MP moshpit, this game is the reward for staying with the franchise
-reasonable lobbies(no longer playing all stars like you and other amazing players). Now, I'm often in top 3 out of 12 in match.
-great weekly playlists(fresh moshpit maps almost every week) I now also enjoy Com Arms and 12vs12. I'm just not bored!!
-great operators and customizing
-great scorestreak system(I play the objectives and I get rewarded)
-time to kill fun for me(not too fast)
-loud footsteps good by me I don't play with headset
All in all, I think Trey did a great job with this game.
People hate on Cold War wayyyyyy too much.
100% people are going to look back on Cold War in a few years and appreciate this game so much. Guarantee it. It gets soooooo much hate for almost no reason.
I agree Cold War is underrated but I think SBMM was the main problem
@@jextra4096 If people actually took the time to play the game, learn how people play and adapt to what the meta is, they would do fine.
I have a 1.73 KDR, have gotten a few nukes under my belt, and the guns i use i do quite well consistently with now and ive played almost the whole games life cycle.
Outside of the BROKEN streetsweeper and Tec9, the game has been balanced REALLY well and you can use any gun and anyrhing you want.
SBMM is no worse or better than on MW2019 but somehow people worshipped that garbo game with dead silence as a field upgrade.
Cold Wars really good and it plays just like an OG black ops COD. Blows my mind people didnt understand that it was MEANT to be an arcadey throw back game. Its great.
Personally I don't like playing on a 4BC Roman map when a game is based on 2045
great work on finding an excuse for reusing maps in every mode
@@de_gree You seem new to the franchise, cod always been using reused maps.
I never got the constant whining but the maps were solid, we had loads of content and yeah
well...most people prefer normal round base map more so that why they were saying that tbh. Most are not a fan of outbreak at all
Where do I start?
Positives
- dead silence perk
- no unplayable maps
- no true meta gun for majority of game
- dark matter grind was good for most part
- shotgun secondary
Negatives
- perk balance
- overpowered perks
- no great map
- sniper flinch
- overpowered tacticals
- lack of tactical sprint
- lack of mounting
I have more but I’ll stop there
They have ended the game when it released...
Positives: TTK, engine, maps, balance (Minus the DLC guns), Movement, Create-a-class system, Streak system, brought back theater mode, overall audio, graphics, FOV slider, an option to select a double-tap mantle system, campaign and zombies, overall better CDL viewing experience and champs on LAN.

To me I’m not saying goodbye to Cold War since Vanguard looks as boring as Mw
Honestly the only thing that killed Cold War for me was the lack of content at launch, particularly the lack of maps. It just got so stale so quickly and I moved on to other games, which is unfortunate because I agree with pretty much all of the positive things you mentioned.
As someone who plays hardpoint the majority of the time, I thought the spawns were pretty good in the game. You could get spawn trapped (at times) when a hardpoint location is located near a spawn area (i.e, the houses in nuketown)
I think Cold War is gonna be one of those underrated CODs in the future. Solid gameplay, fun weapons, great maps, they just missed the mark on killstreaks, but other than that, they created a great game, like Treyarc always does
Who remembers the 50 minutes video about what Modern Warfare did wrong 💀
Cold War pissed me off so much. It would’ve been an amazing game if it came out in 2018. Going from MW19/Warzone back to this felt horrible. Huge step back.
Can’t wait to see what they did wrong.
Last year was a 40 minute video!
only 25 minutes this year, way better than last year
Last night I was on a 23 gun streak and my game crashed... since the haunting event started if I play Nuketown twice in a row my game crashes halfway through the 2nd match... the weird part is that it only happens on the Halloween Nuketown map... I can play any other map without any issues
I think this was my favorite zombies. Part of that coming from how I no longer have to pay $100+ just to get all the maps
i think its just a bit too easy to where it becomes boring but thats just in my opinion but I actually love the zombies in cold war
Gun variety is good too besides withthe em2 and tec 9 introduction, but that’s fixed now and the movement in Cold War is absolutely fantastic honestly really enjoyed this game overall , played so much league play in this game because the maps flowed so well in hardpoint and control
Tec still best gun in the game
I enjoyed the MP maps except the Original Miami map
The Pines was the map I liked the least (even more so than Miami) but even those two were still solid to me. I'd rather play them than almost any of the maps in MW2019.
Miami was at least ok for camos.
It was fun as hell on 12 v 12 so what do you mean
Okay I forgot that it was bad on 6v6 Respawn modes
I liked this game, but I never thought it was that fun. It reminded more of BO1. MW2, BO2, & BO3 are still my top 3. BO3 was the last fun COD.
The best thing Cold War did is it released, so we didn't have to play modern warfare another year
This is the best cod game imo since bo3.
No shit sbmm is the worst thing added in cod, if it wasn’t there then probably there would’ve been more people still enjoying cod
He only talked about what CW did right, so you're immediately wrong lmao
@@namelol.mp4561 I am talking about my prediction for the next video. Part 2.
@@ArjunSharma-gu5eh you literally said "I bet in the 2nd part of *this video"* but okie I guess so
I mostly did not like this game, but thats for part 2.
