Maybe you forget the part most of their products are just OEM products with their logo slapped on top of it. They don't do much research, the OEM does. They are mainly focused on marketing and flooding lower segment of the audio market with 1000s of different OEM products so whenever you search for headphones, the majority of results will be their products. Just like realme and other bbk group brands do with phones.

When I was in 5th I had saved up some money to gift my sis some headphones from zebronics and one for myself, bought some cheap Chinese one for her and I got zebronics from my own saved up money, her earphones (Bluetooth btw) lasted for 2 years and mine didn't last for 3 months, the quality is trash

I had bought headphones from boat back in 2017 for my GF and one of its ear stopped working after about a month and they picked it up and after 4 days they called me to say that the product I had was now out of stock and they are gonna launch a new headphone 2 weeks later and after that they will ship me the new one.
That was a wonderful experience I had from any brand and I got the new headphones after 3 weeks free of cost and that too their price was ₹700 more than my initial ones.
Well, they may have been producing good product but the major issue is that their products stops working frequently or developed some issue after frequent use.
It happened with my earphone and with my friends also

First of all I have been using boat for the last 3. 4 years now and i can tell you that the quality of boats products has decreased drastically. I give you 3. 4 main points that have changed now.
1. Because of make in India the government pushes less important products to set up their plants in India. And the main thing is that boat is not good in manufacturing they don't have the expertise in manufacturing they are tying their level best but aren't able to produce good quality. I can say that they are not in the wearable brand they are just in style only.
2. Why are they giving a two year warranty when others are giving only one year warranty because when you have more time for something than you are not going to do in rightnow or generally you forgot to do that task.
3. They are constantly coming up with new products I don't now why if you see there competitor they have very less products and they are going good in it. When you have so many product than its very hard for you to make the supply chain.
I am not sure but boat is going to lose its share in the market but not for much time. Aman Gupta is so smart guy now he is exploring offline market. Because they haven't touched that market yet. dynamics of boat is going to change from here. offline mode contribution is going to increase from here in boats revenue.
Shark tank is going to help him so much.

3 years ago, I bought their 400rs earphone.
They replaced it once (completely free pickup, shipping etc..), and till date it's working fine.

Edit: Recently, I bought their earbuds it started malfunctioning within a month, tried to claim warranty twice everytime they rejected it and returned the original back.
Also, my neighbour tried replacing her earbuds, they rejected and returned Empty box (not even the original item) :O
And we couldn't come up with any solution after 2-3 days trying to convince customer care team.
I have a job, and can't afford to fight over a 3,000 rs earbuds.
We just gave up!

I bought boat airdopes 441 for 2000 the left ear bud stopped working after a month, later i went to the service centre and got it easily replaced i was really impressed by their customer support by all in vain the replaced airdopes left bud stopped working after 1 month and I got it replaced again again the left bud stopped working after few weeks, now it's out of warranty.
Amazing customer support but third class products, their headphones which are cheaper works better than airpods. Overall bad products

Boat did replace my earphone some years ago but i had to reach out to them on Facebook Messenger. Back then they didn't have customer care number. Not sure how they provide after sales service now.

There are some parts of the video i would disagree with. You are talking about metal casings and braided wires like inventions of boat. Even mi was giving such products at the same price range. Boat is a purely marketing based company who grew up putting labels on Chinese manufactured equipment. Their success is purely attributed to the marketing genius and not the technological know how. However their push to increase made in India products is commendable and i was able to buy headphones for cheap thanks to them.
