- Can't say I've seen this happen before.
Color balance is intentionally way off to lighten up the video due to the G1W's awful white balance. It was too dark to really see the action in its original form. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Respect for actually helping. I see so many dashcam videos and noone ever seems to care and/or stop to lend a hand.
Oh, that sucks. Kudos for you helping the other driver out!
For real! We need more people like you in this world
My drive shaft fell out when I was 72 miles from home and in the middle of the desert, on the highway, I wish I woulda been helped by the people passing by. You are a great person for helponh
How did you get home then
If I ever lose my drive shaft I hope you are close by.
Your wonderful human being. ❤🏴
I just saw your video while looking up semi truck drive shaft repairs. You are a fantastic person for helping!!
That sucks! And he wasn't even going that fast. That was nice of you to help! Alot of people don't.
I'm telling you buddy them universal joints on a Chevy will get you every time
Dodge ones are the worst
Respect to you for helping out!
dat why u gota grease those U-Bolts !!
U Joints...
The scariest part, Is the Drive shaft is still spinning. It can still hurt somebody with metal parts flying off of it. Thank goodness nobody got hurt.
😂😂
truck: I’m gonna go
Driveshaft: not today
had this happen with a dodge megacab 4x4 towing 40ft gooseneck with skidsteer.... picked driveshaft off road, put in 4x4 and drove the rest of the way with front wheel drive
My dad dropped a drive shade while driving in a fire engine to a call.
I was told u can put it in 4 hi and drive it with the front wheels if its a 4x4
Probably would work, wouldn't chance damaging the transfer case thoug
@@zachsteele6964 first you would have to remove the broken rear drive shaft.
@@zachsteele6964 keep the speed low he could limp it home.
@@myballsitchsomethingfierce6319 yeah
He could easily have done that to at least get it out of the intersection. Could drive back that way to anywhere if it weren't for the fluid leak.
Driveshafts suck to fix
Had to rent a damn car, and wait for the part to arrive
happened to me today. Feels great when you wanna drive off but all you hear is CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK
Did your vehicle suffer any major problems due to this incident?
Damn they had dashcams this good in 2000??!!
Just put the four wheel drive in gear and he's good to go.
Yeah, he can limp it home.
Just ignore the still spinning loose rear driveshaft
Forget about u joints, it's those darn drive shafts that are always snapping in half.
Not the driveshafts fault but the driver's or the installer's
@@Justinhomii I agree. I've replaced so many u joints and there are definitely some fine points to doing it successfully. Some U joints even have shims in the caps to center the cross so the driveshaft doesn't vibrate like it did on my 2002 F250 when I bought it last year with 295,000 miles on it. Had been to the dealership several times and even rebalanced before I got it and all that vibrating caused the pinion bearing to fail. Turns out it was balanced but wasn't installed properly. Had two shims in one cap and none on the other but it's smooth as silk now with a new dorman driveshaft and one shim in each cap on the rear differential pinion yolk which uses straps unlike the yolk on the transfer case which has a flange.
If the date is right.. first day of the year 2000.. heck of a way to start a century.
It’s not right, the cars are way too modern and the footage is too good
This happened to me yesterday down my street , but some folks came to help
What happened to your vehicle?
This happend to me yesterday. Everyone passed by me looking pissed off at me .
It's a pos aluminum thin as a wafer and cardboard inside too.
That poor truck needs to be restored. Hopefully it will be on the road soon :')
Lol. I could see both dudes looking at eachother with dude in truck with his hands up like "da fuk?" And buddy says driveshaft snapped in half.. lol. Funny they understood eachother and friendly as hell.. good people, bad day for one..
Drive shaft on trucks is a serious thing I see
Just keep up with your universal joint maintenance and you'll never have this problem. Look up "signs of failing u joints" so you know what to look out for. There's usually time where they tell you before they're about to go instead of just grenading.
Was he driving in low-gear? I saw a driveshaft that was split like that and the dude was trying to drive at highway speeds in 4-Low
Would it be alright with you ncoraor to use this clip in my upcoming road madness compilation on my main channel ? Credit, links in the description, and name on the screen, as always will be provided.
Looking forward to your response.
U-joint maintenance is important mmkay!
Especially why I hate those Dodge double cardan joints
You can’t even replace ujoints on mine *apparently*
Dammit
Hi, ncoraor! would it be possible to use this video in my US Compilation?
Credit and Links in the description.
Thanks in advance!
Nah, I'd rather it just stay here for now, thanks.
It's a 4x4. He could have put it in 4 wheel drive and limped it off the road
he still have front drive :)
Well at lease you helped him
It’s a 4x4 so just turn on the 4wd and it’s a fwd truck.
.......did a literal cop just go by and do absolutely nothing?
wtf was he suppose to do
@@mmiichaaelll they have fkn bash bars for pushing vehicles
I got no one to blame but my self it says clearly they ain’t rated for anything over 100mph what does my dumb ass do the week I get thru with break inn period 🤦🏻♂️race a Honda damn drive shaft exploded at 115mph lucky it just smacked my third car and broke the rest off so it didn’t slap anything up to bad 😂 damn I’m stupid broke it clean in half
Chevys will definitely let you down.
I would have said "Do you need a hand?" and then started clapping.
Just put in 4x4 and at least get it off the street
