Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.

Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

Both Hurrem and Mahi plotted, killed and didn’t think twice before hurting innocent people. No one was better than the other. Hurrem won the war when Suleiman married her and Mahi faced consequences of her actions when she was exiled.The only unfair thing was that Hurrem never faced the consequences of her murderous plots.

This is one of the arcs that I've always been uncomfortable with since it seems like that cultural old bone where people still want to blame Hurrem for all the evils in the Ottoman Empire, even though so much of it has since been disproved.

Hurrem is not to blame for all evils in the Ottoman Empire. It’s Suleiman’s inability to recognise a capable heir and Selim’s inability to rule. Why always blame the women?. This is where Charles won and Suleiman lost. French Empire went from strength to strength because Charles knew the right time to give up power and Suleiman didn’t.

Tess McNeice Also this serial has exaggerated a lot of things for the sake of drama. Even Mahi and Valide Sultan’s plots were exaggerated. Pragali Ibrahim who won great victories for Ottoman Empire was just shown to be some one interested in Harem affairs.

@@komalbaweja7291 For all the nice costumes and actors and actresses, grand history and the potential in the characters, tell me what has this series shown other than the harem affairs? This series is nothing but a glorified tale of what happens in a petty village life in the medieval age. It does not focus much on anything else.
