During my 2 years living and working in Japan (2007 - 2009) the thing I found surprising was the effort that people went to to decorate their houses for Christmas! I remember going into the supermarket in Japan for the first time (Australian here) and thinking to myself "Oh, this must be the Asian Food aisle"!!! Watching you shopping for groceries brings back so many fond memories, thank you for sharing your life. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

My family is 1300 miles away and even at my age (64) I still get very sad that I can't be with them at Christmas. All we can do is keep moving forward, stay busy and try our very best. Christmas is a very difficult time of the year. There are so many social pressures to be happy. It is important to feel whatt you feel, it is ok. I suffer from anxiety and depression. Sometimes I sleep too much because I cannot face the outside world. But I am lucky that I have my family near me and a good doctor. I hopê you can find peace in your Christmas not being what it normally is for you.

I just like watching your grocery vlogs. It really soothes my eye on how Japan is so good with packaging that you can't say no to purchasing them. And I love that they have small amount of food to buy which is good for one person. Here in Ph most item is in bulk.
I started or found your videos a month ago - after the first one brought back a ton of memories - I spent fom age 20 -23 years old living in Osaka, first time I had really not known atleast someone, my first real apartment, it was my introduction into adulthood, it was a little rough, the first Christmas I had a $1200 phone bill, The time in general was amazing and looking back I wouldnt change a thing , met many incredable people that I still talk to 30 years later. Thank You PS Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be a big Christmas thing, Not sure why, but it was a reminder of home and everyone else did it.

It's common for people to feel down around the holidays. It seems to me that you are doing so many things right. You eat healthy, you exercise, you take care of your health like making sure you get enough sleep and getting your thyroid surgery. You also make SO many people happy by posting your videos. I think you are an amazing young woman and you are so brave. You moved to a whole other country ALONE. That is not something a lot of people could handle. The truth is life can be very difficult and overwhelming sometimes for most people around the world.I see you prepare beautiful meals,live comfortably in a clean and cosy environment,you are independent,making your own living whereas there are people and children starving to death,living in abusive environments or suffering the hell of an endless war without basic necessities and people whose health is poor making them unable to enjoy simple things in life such as a walk or good meal.Lets be grateful for what we have for a change.In my country we say its a wheel and it goes round....things change in the end,its up to us to toughen up or get pulled down.You are awesome,from Greece with love and wishes to all for a happy new year

I have anxiety problems, so I know the battle you’re fighting. Just continue to fight and you’ll end up on top eventually. Our tax in the US is usually around 28 percent for federal, and 6 percent for state. Plus we have to pay personal property fit the city, which for us is about $1,000. We are retired, but still have to pay the darn taxes! LOL

I have heard a lot of people this year, for the 1st time, say they were just not into Christmas this yr. We have very very little decorations ourselves out. This will pass. Your oatmeal pizza crust was a great idea but In’d like to offer a couple suggestions: 1. Add about 1/8 tsp of Xanthan gum to the dry ingredients along with a pinch of salt 2. Double the amount of olive oil 3. Pre-bake the pizza crust in the air fryer for about 5 minutes on both sides before adding your toppings
I wish we had the places in Japan here in the USA. If we do have them, they are always far away or in the big cities. Your food always looks so good. My daughter is so much like you and goes through a lot of the same things. Stay strong and keep doing what you are. You are an amazing young women.

I'm 73 and most of my life has passed while you are still young, vital, and very attractive. Christmas is a very difficult time of the year. There are so many social pressures to be happy. It is important to feel whatt you feel, it is ok. I suffer from anxiety and depression. Sometimes I sleep too much because I cannot face the outside world. But I am lucky that I have my family near me and a good doctor. I hopê you can find peace in your Christmas not being what it normally is for you.
Hi Lou! The Christmas season gets me down as well. It's hard when you feel alone and i get that way too. Try to be positive mentally and don't overthink things. Just live your life one day at a time and always think good things. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I just like watching your grocery vlogs. It really soothes my eye on how Japan is so good with packaging that you can't say no to purchasing them. And I love that they have small amount of food to buy which is good for one person. Here in Ph most item is in bulk.
I started or found your videos a month ago - after the first one brought back a ton of memories - I spent fom age 20 -23 years old living in Osaka, first time I had really not known atleast someone, my first real apartment, it was my introduction into adulthood, it was a little rough, the first Christmas I had a $1200 phone bill, The time in general was amazing and looking back I wouldnt change a thing , met many incredable people that I still talk to 30 years later. Thank You
PS Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be a big Christmas thing, Not sure why, but it was a reminder of home and everyone else did it.

It's common for people to feel down around the holidays. It seems to me that you are doing so many things right. You eat healthy, you exercise, you take care of your health like making sure you get enough sleep and getting your thyroid surgery. You also make SO many people happy by posting your videos. I think you are an amazing young woman and you are so brave. You moved to a whole other country ALONE. That is not something a lot of people could handle. I love your videos so much and I'm sending you hopes for a wonderful 2024.

The truth is life can be very difficult and overwhelming sometimes for most people around the world.I see you prepare beautiful meals,live comfortably in a clean and cosy environment,you are independent,making your own living whereas there are people and children starving to death,living in abusive environments or suffering the hell of an endless war without basic necessities and people whose health is poor making them unable to enjoy simple things in life such as a walk or good meal.Lets be grateful for what we have for a change.In my country we say its a wheel and it goes round....things change in the end,its up to us to toughen up or get pulled down.You are awesome,from Greece with love and wishes to all for a happy new year

Our tax in the US is usually around 28 percent for federal, and 6 percent for state. Plus we have to pay personal property fit the city, which for us is about $1,000. We are retired, but still have to pay the darn taxes! LOL

I have heard a lot of people this year, for the 1st time, say they were just not into Christmas this yr. We have very very little decorations ourselves out. This will pass. Hi . I stumble upon your video tonight. Living alone is a challenge anywhere in the world and it must be hard facing life difficulties alone. Hope that you can have many good days and find your happiness and be less lonely in the future.
Your oatmeal pizza crust was a great idea but In’d like to offer a couple suggestions:
1. Add about 1/8 tsp of Xanthan gum to the dry ingredients along with a pinch of salt
2. Double the amount of olive oil
3. Pre-bake the pizza crust in the air fryer for about 5 minutes on both sides before adding your toppings
I wish we had the places in Japan here in the USA. If we do have them, they are always far away or in the big cities. Your food always looks so good. My daughter is so much like you and goes through a lot of the same things. Stay strong and keep doing what you are. You are an amazing young women.

Hi Lou C try to avoid refined sugar it will help reduce pain cause from inflammation after a while you'll fined most foods are naturally sweet anyway.

Hi Lou, I find your videos hypnotic, you have such a calm and gentle way about you. I too am alone, more so than you. I live alone and have no family. I'm 73 and most of my life has passed while you are still young, vital, and very attractive. I have learned to appreciate this time of no longer worrying about the future and the responsibilities involved. You still have many adventures ahead. I'm sure the New Year will be filled with new experiences for you.
