When my daughter was little, the one thing that helped her fall asleep at night was her fish tank. Pets really do help make situations, no matter what they are, better. Keep up the content. Hi Lou, love your videos. Here in the USA, the FDA recommends not washing raw meat. Says if there is bacteria present, it spreads it to other surfaces. Follow proper cooking directions. Have a great visit with your family! HAPPY NEW YEAR🎉

As someone who has raised 7 children, I guess the Mom in me is going to come out now 🙂 but .. along with some of your other commenters here, I'm also so impressed with how you live your life. It is so refreshing to see a young person cooking for herself and not just getting take-out or simply just eating junk food. Eating well will do your body good and help keep you healthy .. when your body is strong, it will help fight off germs that are inevitably present everywhere. It also shows how much you care about your health and that it's important for you to put good things into your body. I'm impressed with how neat and tidy you are, how organized, and the importance you put into your living space. I find for myself that when my space around me is clean and organized, my daily life seems more calm and peaceful. Journaling and putting down your thoughts is a very good way for you to release your feelings, as well as be able to look back weeks, months, and even years from now and see your change and your growth. Lou dear, I am 66 years old .. I've never rinsed meat in my entire life and I'm as healthy as a horse. If you or others want to rinse it, then that's perfectly fine, of course .. but if you don't, it won't make you sick. Either way - rinse or not - is a personal preference. Btw, you are a good cook and you eat very healthy meals. I'm sorry you've had to struggle alone while being treated for thyroid cancer 😢 I hope this new year finds you feeling better and stronger. In Asian countries because of negativity with health and sewerage systems etc on farms it is advised to wash meat particularly chicken . But.. Itf cooked to proper temperature should not be a problem.. The bacteria and problems come with how it is stored etc after eating♥️
@@kazhausler2359 Yes, I totally understand and agree with you about the negativity with meat in Asian countries .. but you are absolutely right, rinsing won't do it, it's the cooking of the meat, the high temperature, that is helpful .. and of course, storing meat afterwards. I know many don't have refrigeration.

Hi Lu"c , Thank you for your amazing channel,in a difficult year and a half where among so many medical problems such as still recovering from covid two years ago and getting complications since, then hospital evrey other week for "C",your channel cheared me and lifted my spirits even when I thought I might lose my job(Engineering) due to having sick time off, but Im all clear and enjoying the best health I have known in a long time, can't wait to start the new year,never underestimate how simple things like your warm and kind nature coming through your content can make that little difference to someone you will never probably meet(I live in England), always beleive ,your channel shows that you are not alone and there is always hope,have a fantastic 2024,best wishes Chris.

🥳 thank you for the wonderful videos! I never wash meat anymore, it spreads any bacteria into the sink and faucet handles you touch and it all has to be cleaned. Any bacteria is killed when you cook the meat☺️my opinion but I’ve never had any problems😊 have wonderful time with your family!

Now I can watch your video 😁 I’m so happy that you got to spend some time with your family 🥰 I’ve heard if you wash meat you can spread a lot of bacteria around, imagine washing raw chicken, thinking you’ve cleaned all of the sink, then wash something like lettuce to eat raw 🤢 so easy for water droplets to have spread around. You’re cooking it, so bacteria will be cooked away.

A tip for the future! If you wanna marinate meat, do put sauces like ketchup, soy sauce and oyster sauce directly in the marinade 🥰 It Will let the meat suck up the taste better ♥

I love it when I learn something new the ginger ale marinade rocks! and I'm going to do it soon. I never wash my meat. I'm in the US , and we may splash contaminates or bacteria around the kitchen, so we just don't wash meat, especially chicken. That's what the FDA recommends good enough for me. Hi Lou, I found your channel on a late sad night when I found out my nan had bowel and liver cancer. It took my mind away. Unfortunately she passed away on the 18th November 2023 with the funeral on the 6th December. Your videos have really kept me happy during these tough times and I’m thankful for you

You can actually get food poisoning from washing meat. It just needs to be cooked properly, which I’m sure with your wonderful recipes you already know! Love to you Lou ❤

Hi Lu"c , Thank you for your amazing channel,in a difficult year and a half where among so many medical problems such as still recovering from covid two years ago and getting complications since, then hospital evrey other week for "C",your channel cheared me and lifted my spirits even when I thought I might lose my job(Engineering) due to having sick time off, but Im all clear and enjoying the best health I have known in a long time, can't wait to start the new year,never underestimate how simple things like your warm and kind nature coming through your content can make that little difference to someone you will never probably meet(I live in England), always beleive ,your channel shows that you are not alone and there is always hope,have a fantastic 2024,best wishes Chris.

I never wash meat anymore, it spreads any bacteria into the sink and faucet handles you touch and it all has to be cleaned. Any bacteria is killed when you cook the meat☺️my opinion but I’ve never had any problems😊 have wonderful time with your family!

I’ve heard if you wash meat you can spread a lot of bacteria around, imagine washing raw chicken, thinking you’ve cleaned all of the sink, then wash something like lettuce to eat raw 🤢 so easy for water droplets to have spread around. You’re cooking it, so bacteria will be cooked away.

If you wanna marinate meat, do put sauces like ketchup, soy sauce and oyster sauce directly in the marinade 🥰 It Will let the meat suck up the taste better ♥

I am at my Mom's visiting. Spent Christmas and going to celebrate New Year's with her and my sister and her family.
Godiva chocolate is one of the world's best and very expensive. I was looking at the cake longingly and I'm glad that Lou bought it for herself and enjoyed it also. If you ever get an opportunity to try Godiva chocolate, you won't be disappointed! Enjoy your day!
I love it when I learn something new the ginger ale marinade rocks! and I'm going to do it soon. I never wash my meat. I'm in the US , and we may splash contaminates or bacteria around the kitchen, so we just don't wash meat, especially chicken. That's what the FDA recommends good enough for me. Hi Lou, I found your channel on a late sad night when I found out my nan had bowel and liver cancer. It took my mind away. Unfortunately she passed away on the 18th November 2023 with the funeral on the 6th December.
