This film is like walking with my grandmother every Monday, past the shops of old Nicosia. This has vanished soon after 1974. Only the cities of Morocco still resonate like the Nicosia of old…what a splendid film! Thank you for sharing

This is the Cyprus of my parents which was a constant educational conversation in our house of three boys born in London.
The beautiful island of the east Mediterranean with the rich cosmopolitan history is now a shadow of my parents memories.
If only the sabre rattlers would put away their lofty self gratification and reconciliation was the order of the day, we might be able to recognise the Cyprus of yester years, in the now misty memories of my now deceased parents.
O how miss those educational stories of their childhood growing up in their village called Maroni in the Larnaca region.
Peace and love is all we need.
