Absolute first class metal lead guitar work as usual from Michael Amott and Jeff Loomis on Handshake From Hell. Jeff's solo really blew me away at first with that sweep picking lead guitar run at the start. Have put this in E Standard and included Guitar Tabs so you guys can learn and play along to it. Enjoy!

Melodic death metallers Arch Enemy have returned with the mighty new single, Handshake With Hell. The track is lifted from their forthcoming album, Deceivers, which is scheduled to arrive on July 29 via Century Media Records.

Arch Enemy is a Swedish melodic death metal band, originally a supergroup from Halmstad, formed in 1995. Its members were in bands such as Carcass, Armageddon, Carnage, Mercyful Fate, Spiritual Beggars, The Agonist, Nevermore, and Eucharist. It was founded by Carcass guitarist Michael Amott along with Johan Liiva, who were both originally from the death metal band Carnage. The band has released ten studio albums, three live albums, three video albums and four EPs. The band was originally fronted by Johan Liiva, who was replaced by German vocalist Angela Gossow in 2000. Gossow left the band in March 2014 to become the group's manager and was replaced by Canadian vocalist Alissa White-Gluz.

I've been listening a lot to the Deceivers album, and trying to play few tracks! - I'm still a the "beginner" level, so some of this is quite challenging! - would love to see your take on "Spreading Black Wings" - for me, one of the best tracks on the album, but can't find covers or tutorials on it at all!

Very cool but I thought most of their songs are on dropped tunings only.
They are man. I like to do standard tuning versions to make them accessible to learn ;)

Not sure who’s done them yet. I worked this out by ear. Ultimate guitar or Songsterr are usually best bet but because the songs new there will probably be mistakes
