Update: it turns out that both of my AirPods In this video are bad the case is still perfectly fine. I will make an update video soon showing this. Unfortunately the only remedy is to get another set, as Apple is unwilling to help.
iNFiNiTY125 I have AirPod 2s I cleaned the metal parts, cleaned the inside of the case so they can charge, then I reset them and my phone and let them charge for hours and they still didn’t work
I had the same issue and this is what I did and hope this may help someone. First I tried all vids on here until I was about to throw my AirPods as far as I could and then I went back to scotch taping a small screw to the back like you did and letting it sit for 2 hours or so. All I had with me was my vehicle charger so after it set I plugged it in and left it for like 10 minutes and then unplugged it and plugged it back in and it popped up on my phone. I may have gotten lucky but I’m 100 percent honest in posting this as I did it today.

I feel your pain. Airpods are not fit for purpose, I have new Airpods that only pair if I take one of them out of the case, and I don't get a pairing screen so I don't even know if they case/headphones are charged. I've gone back to wired headphones!
I had a similar problem. My right AirPod would not connect to the case. I tried everything, I cleaned them and reset them and everything it just would not work. So my solution was leave the not working AirPod out of the case over night and put it back in the case when you wake up. After that it should work perfectly fine. I hope this helps some of you. My left side doesn’t work so I opened it and check inside and one of the wire disconnected from it so i figure thats the problem, but i will try your solution

This just happend to me today with my AirPods 2! All of sudden it won’t pair with my iPhone and IPad. It continues flashing white, and goes to green and it goes back to flashing white. It’s like they been bricked.
Omg mine was the same problem but it finally worked today. I left the AirPods in its case alone for 1-2 days and then I kept pressing the button and then it just connected to my phone. So I’m guessing that you have to leave the AirPods alone and charge it. And then switch off your phone and then try to connect again.
Mine haven’t had a light or sound for a whole week. I’ve watched every video, tried so many methods and nothing has worked. They were working just fine.. I don’t see what went wrong. Edit- I just needed to get a new AirPod case. They’re working now.
Ok guys I spent probably 5 hours up on a work night pissed off trying to figure this out and this is what I did and both worked. Problem - I put replacement AirPod in and it pretty much screwed it up to where it wouldn’t even show up to connect on my phone. My answer - I had to make sure case and both AirPods were fully chargers and when I tried to connect I didn’t have my AirPods charging and they wouldn’t show up in my Bluetooth or any device. So I charged them left them on the charger. Did a hard reset and they popped up. If one AirPod is not fully charged it will not work for some dumbass reason. This is only my answer I’m sure this will not work for some and help others.
i have the exact same problem as you with the replacement. i've charged it for 5 hours and i turned off and on my iphone and held the button while the airpods are still charging. it is still not popping up on the bluetooth menu on my iphone.

I’m on my second AirPod and It’s new ... just because I clicked forgot my device one day on blue tooth ..... that was it .... failed to pair again ..... always flash green .... can’t pair again ... and I’m sure it some software bullshit they do on purpose so we have no choice but to upgrade to airpods max

I had the exact issue on my AirPods Pro. As soon as I put the left AirPod in the case, it started blinking white. I was only able to reset (and connect) the right AirPod. I left them for hours and hours on the charger. When I saw this video I opened my AirPods and it was blinking white as usual, then I just pressed and hold the back button like I’ve done a thousand times by now and they reset? Now they’re working like they should.. Super random

If the status light still flashes amber, connect the case to power, close the lid, and wait 20 minutes. Then open the lid and press and hold the setup button again for a few seconds until the status light flashes white.

I own a lot of earbuds including the Lenovo LivePods 1 and the razer hammerhead tws and after months of abuse and heavy use, all my tws earbuds which are cheaper than your paperweight are still working with no battery issues. OH. Let me add that all my earbuds Charging cases are USB TYPE C and not lightning, since I'm An android user

Ok people here is a solution from the year 2020, what causes this issue for these airports is the multiple devises and because each devise has different audio setting these air pods get confused... The solution When most people perform a hard reset they wait for the orange light to flash and they try pairing again , that's not good enough you will need keep Holding it until it go white and then orange again the second orange flash means the second aipod has been reset. Leave the air pods inside the case for a minute and then get all your devises to forget them. And then start with your phone and see how you go

I had a screw taped to the button and It was holding down the reset button for over two days the light never flashed white they broken. Also I only ever had them connected to one iPhone. I never connected them to multiple devices
@@iNFiNiTY125 hi i had the same issue, find another IOS devise and pair with it, you may get one side working on the other devise, however when you reconnect them to to your phone they will work both. also make sure when you reset the air pods leave them for a minute before paring again. i have done these steps yesterday and it did work for me. the issue is a software not hardware
I found a solution that worked for me go to your Apple devices settings forget AirPods close the air pod case hold the button for about 10 second get off of the settings screen then open your AirPods my AirPods were connected to a adapter idk if it affects anything hope I helped
FOUND ISSUE: I took my AirPods to the apple store and a very small piece of tissue was inside the charging port stopping the charger from fully going in (there was no click when inserted)
@@karlaconss where you insert your charger therw could be something stuck there so check, easy way to tell if theres ni click noise when you insert charger
Guys, my airpods had this exact same problem. The solution for this problem is deep cleaning. Put some isopropyl alcohol inside your charging case, and let it rest for 2 hours . Be generous, don’t be afraid. Then clean both charging ports with cotton swabs, roughly. And you are good to go. Please guys try this, but you have to be thorough. It worked for me. Good luck.
My right AirPods Pro was not working when I wanted to use it so I forgot the AirPods and since then I could not connect the AirPods. The case was stuck on white blinking light whenever I opened the case. While watching the video and reading the comments, I tried to clean the case from the inside then I tried again and the AirPods setup appeared with left 100% and right AirPods charging 8% on my iPhone but I was able to pair the AirPods again. Mine are i12's and they won't flash the light or connect they worked perfectly fine and would play music so im thinking its a connection issue but the light doesn't show they are charged and I dont think anything is wrong severely maybe just some connecting issues.
I found the solution,you have to open the airpod case and make sure the connect option pops up on your phone after you press connect it will ask to hold down the connect button.Now from there you will spam click the connect button and it will end up pairing with your phone.
I had the similar problem, in the end I found out the right airpod blinks green, which is fault of not connecting with the charging case. I used another good right airpod and the pairing has been successful.

I’m beginning to think that my AirPods are fake, because I’m having issues no one is having. First, it keept flashing amber lighting. I did everything I could do, factory reset and stuff and it still won’t work Second, my AirPods would not show my battery percentage. And when it would work when I take an AirPod out it will show the wrong percent, put it in again, now with a different percent. Third, the light indicator will flash amber and green idk why. Forth sometimes my AirPods won’t even connect to my iPhone. If you are having these issues reply, if you know how to fix, PLEASE reply. Edit: I think they where made to do this, because let’s be honest. Apple is money hungry. Second Edit: everyone’s glitches are somehow fixable, but mine are not, I’ve tried everything.

I FIUGURED IT OUT!!!!! Holy shit guys so I spent hours and hours trying to figure out what was wrong. I had one ear bud connected one not. I forgot the device and felt so screwed and than only the white light would pop up. I was reading and watching everyone’s videos and it felt like I had all the problems but none of what they said worked. Sooo first off take them off. Get yourself a tooth pick and take out each headphone scrape the dust and gross shit off of the bottom of your head phones. Take off every spec make them look brand new. Now throw them on the charger. Wait 30 mins. Next open the case hold the back button and while you’re holding it put pressure on the top of the ear buds. Pushing them down into the charging case. Hold it all right next to your phone and wait. Boom it will pop up and say connect. You will connect and than u will be able to listen to both headphones again!!!!! Mine are working like brand new again. I hope this eases some of the pain I went through!!

I try to many ways to fix it but it wouldn’t and my friend came and took my right side airpod and put that on his case and try to reset them but the white light not flashing so he take out mine airpod from his case and put his left airpod inside the case and reset them after that he puts mine right side AirPod inside the case with his left side airpods and finally it works. When the case white light is on and not flashing its the battery in the AirPods happened to be the case is ok contacted Apple support and told them had a mouth lift in warranty there sending a new pair they said I had to pay £130 and when they get the old ones back they refund me I paid with the email they sent me with my visa and went throw only with my info but they did not take Payment I feel they do that to put People of from going ahead with the repair. I found it quite strange they do that under warranty. I suppose they have their reasons, I think it's just who I said I was they what to confirm! and what country I live in as defriends country have different rules.do you guys think I should send the old ones back as I did not have to pay? let me know Please.
That sucks, I’m really sorry to hear that. If you just recently bought them you can try to make an appointment with the Genius Bar and see if they can fix or replace them or depending where you purchased them you may be able to return or exchange them. If it’s been a while or they’re out of warranty, there’s a few fixes to try posted in the comments here. I will make a follow up video soon showing them. I unfortunately was never able to get mine to work. Good luck!

My left air pod went out and I removed device and nothing was happening at all and I couldn’t reset them so all I did was hold the reset button for like 2-4 minutes and the they popped up
here comes the solution! :) First the left airpod stopped working than I tried to reset airpod case and then finally it stops connecting with ios devices. I tried every possible solution which I saw on youtube and non of them solved the issue. Afterall I simply take the airpods out of the case, I left open the case lid, just tried to finish the energy in both case and airpods. I left the gadgets over night like that and ta daaaa the next morning it starts to works . but of course the problem is not finish yet. left airpod was not working again . I follow the instructions in the apple's web site ( support.apple.com/en-us/HT209581 ) and ta daaa again it starts to work , I was very happy temporarily that I was thinking I solved a mystery but then my right airpod stopped working. I curse all Apple family for 30 minutes and tried the same s---ts again and again and each time one side of the airpod stopped working. Now I feel like my hardwares "airpod case and my airpods" are working just fine , but there is a huge issue with the software in it causing this idiotic problem . I don't believe apple technical services can solve this problem unlees apple runs an update. this is the second apple gadget I recieve connection problems (first was Apple pencil) and starting to feel like , not buying apple s--ts is the best thing not to receieve this kind of issues.

Mine airpods 'light' just suddenly shut off, have tried recharging, cleaning, different charger, reset button(multiple times). They were kinda new, and I had not dropped/breaked them or anything.
OK but like I said that AFTER I already had that stuff and not even like a month later I sold the MacBook got a Lenovo ThinkPad, sold my iPhone 11 got a pixel and note but I did have to get another iPhone 8 Plus for my job but I got it used off a coworker. I stand by my statement the new Apple products don’t interest me at all a laptop with a tablet processor and phones that they just switch the shape of and price with no real differences besides they can’t be worked on as easy, i’m good on all that.

ChiTown_Baller Unfortunately not, I’m still playing with them though, if I figure something out I’ll make an update video. If you still can I would try to exchange them from wherever you got them or see if Apple is still willing to fix them for you.

@@jazs2300 yes, i just had to wait for some time to pop up again in my phone again but it fixed the only problem was that my left Airpod was soft in the volume when I would put it max but it fixed by time

Ok people here is a solution from the year 2020, what causes this issue for these airports is the multiple devises and because each devise has different audio setting these air pods get confused...
The solution
When most people perform a hard reset they wait for the orange light to flash and they try pairing again , that's not good enough you will need keep Holding it until it go white and then orange again the second orange flash means the second aipod has been reset. Leave the air pods inside the case for a minute and then get all your devises to forget them. And then start with your phone and see how you go

I had a screw taped to the button and It was holding down the reset button for over two days the light never flashed white they broken. Also I only ever had them connected to one iPhone. I never connected them to multiple devices
@@iNFiNiTY125 hi i had the same issue, find another IOS devise and pair with it, you may get one side working on the other devise, however when you reconnect them to to your phone they will work both. also make sure when you reset the air pods leave them for a minute before paring again. i have done these steps yesterday and it did work for me. the issue is a software not hardware

I found a solution that worked for me go to your Apple devices settings forget AirPods close the air pod case hold the button for about 10 second get off of the settings screen then open your AirPods my AirPods were connected to a adapter idk if it affects anything hope I helped
FOUND ISSUE: I took my AirPods to the apple store and a very small piece of tissue was inside the charging port stopping the charger from fully going in (there was no click when inserted)

Guys, my airpods had this exact same problem. The solution for this problem is deep cleaning. Put some isopropyl alcohol inside your charging case, and let it rest for 2 hours . Be generous, don’t be afraid. Then clean both charging ports with cotton swabs, roughly. And you are good to go. Please guys try this, but you have to be thorough. It worked for me. Good luck.

My right AirPods Pro was not working when I wanted to use it so I forgot the AirPods and since then I could not connect the AirPods. The case was stuck on white blinking light whenever I opened the case.
While watching the video and reading the comments, I tried to clean the case from the inside then I tried again and the AirPods setup appeared with left 100% and right AirPods charging 8% on my iPhone but I was able to pair the AirPods again.

I had the same problem with my AirPods Pro. I figured out my case was not clean at the bottom where the charging point are. So that was my solution.

Mine are i12's and they won't flash the light or connect they worked perfectly fine and would play music so im thinking its a connection issue but the light doesn't show they are charged and I dont think anything is wrong severely maybe just some connecting issues.
Your AirPods are connecting to another device, that’s why it won’t go into pairing mode
I found the solution,you have to open the airpod case and make sure the connect option pops up on your phone after you press connect it will ask to hold down the connect button.Now from there you will spam click the connect button and it will end up pairing with your phone.

I had the similar problem, in the end I found out the right airpod blinks green, which is fault of not connecting with the charging case. I used another good right airpod and the pairing has been successful.

I’m beginning to think that my AirPods are fake, because I’m having issues no one is having.
First, it keept flashing amber lighting. I did everything I could do, factory reset and stuff and it still won’t work
Second, my AirPods would not show my battery percentage. And when it would work when I take an AirPod out it will show the wrong percent, put it in again, now with a different percent.
Third, the light indicator will flash amber and green idk why.
Forth sometimes my AirPods won’t even connect to my iPhone. If you are having these issues reply, if you know how to fix, PLEASE reply.
Edit: I think they where made to do this, because let’s be honest. Apple is money hungry.

I FIUGURED IT OUT!!!!! Holy shit guys so I spent hours and hours trying to figure out what was wrong. I had one ear bud connected one not. I forgot the device and felt so screwed and than only the white light would pop up. I was reading and watching everyone’s videos and it felt like I had all the problems but none of what they said worked. Sooo first off take them off. Get yourself a tooth pick and take out each headphone scrape the dust and gross shit off of the bottom of your head phones. Take off every spec make them look brand new. Now throw them on the charger. Wait 30 mins. Next open the case hold the back button and while you’re holding it put pressure on the top of the ear buds. Pushing them down into the charging case. Hold it all right next to your phone and wait. Boom it will pop up and say connect. You will connect and than u will be able to listen to both headphones again!!!!! Mine are working like brand new again. I hope this eases some of the pain I went through!!

I have 3 pairs of earbuds, and only my airpods 3 having this kind of problem such a shitty product.
I also got the same problem with my airpod 1. I try to many ways to fix it but it wouldn’t and my friend came and took my right side airpod and put that on his case and try to reset them but the white light not flashing so he take out mine airpod from his case and put his left airpod inside the case and reset them after that he puts mine right side AirPod inside the case with his left side airpods and finally it works. But my left side AirPod is not working anymore 🥺

When the case white light is on and not flashing its the battery in the AirPods happened to be the case is ok contacted Apple support and told them had a mouth lift in warranty
there sending a new pair they said I had to pay £130 and when they get the old ones back they refund me I paid with the email they sent me with my visa and went throw only with my info but they did not take Payment I feel they do that to put People of from going ahead with the repair. I found it quite strange they do that under warranty. I suppose they have their reasons, I think it's just who I said I was they what to confirm! and what country I live in as defriends country have different rules.do you guys think I should send the old ones back as I did not have to pay? let me know Please.

That sucks, I’m really sorry to hear that. If you just recently bought them you can try to make an appointment with the Genius Bar and see if they can fix or replace them or depending where you purchased them you may be able to return or exchange them. If it’s been a while or they’re out of warranty, there’s a few fixes to try posted in the comments here. I will make a follow up video soon showing them. It means that the airpods are on low battery but the box itself is charged pretty well.

here comes the solution! :)
First the left airpod stopped working than I tried to reset airpod case and then finally it stops connecting with ios devices. I tried every possible solution which I saw on youtube and non of them solved the issue.
Afterall I simply take the airpods out of the case, I left open the case lid, just tried to finish the energy in both case and airpods. I left the gadgets over night like that and ta daaaa the next morning it starts to works .
but of course the problem is not finish yet. left airpod was not working again . I follow the instructions in the apple's web site ( support.apple.com/en-us/HT209581 ) and ta daaa again it starts to work , I was very happy temporarily that I was thinking I solved a mystery but then my right airpod stopped working. I curse all Apple family for 30 minutes and tried the same s---ts again and again and each time one side of the airpod stopped working.
Now I feel like my hardwares "airpod case and my airpods" are working just fine , but there is a huge issue with the software in it causing this idiotic problem .
I don't believe apple technical services can solve this problem unlees apple runs an update.
this is the second apple gadget I recieve connection problems (first was Apple pencil) and starting to feel like , not buying apple s--ts is the best thing not to receieve this kind of issues.

Mine airpods 'light' just suddenly shut off, have tried recharging, cleaning, different charger, reset button(multiple times). They were kinda new, and I had not dropped/breaked them or anything.

OK but like I said that AFTER I already had that stuff and not even like a month later I sold the MacBook got a Lenovo ThinkPad, sold my iPhone 11 got a pixel and note but I did have to get another iPhone 8 Plus for my job but I got it used off a coworker. I stand by my statement the new Apple products don’t interest me at all a laptop with a tablet processor and phones that they just switch the shape of and price with no real differences besides they can’t be worked on as easy, i’m good on all that.
