When I’m terribly lonesome and unmotivated that I can’t stand up to do anything, I always come back here somehow it gives me strength to do my duties and tend to my family.
in all seriousness, this is one of the most beautiful, heart-wrenching songs I've ever heard. from "then i got the phone call" and then on is like being kicked in the stomach over and over.
I was having a really emotional moment, and a friend of mine was helping me. He sent me the link to this video, saying he listens to this when he's going through tough moments. So Kenny if you're watching this and happen to see this comment, I want you to know I'm always here to help you like you helped me. You're an amazing friend, man.
This is such a raw and emotional song. I cry every time I hear it, and I just want to thank her for this work of beauty that provided much needed emotional support in many hard times.
I wish I was still able to walk. So, in here laying in bed, awake at a quarter to 2 in the morning, crying from the grief that makes me want to run laps around the block. I'm running laps in my mind, and the muscles in my legs feel like they walked around the world for each year I been alive.
“And now I’m going to lose you too, my new friend.” Ugh. Gets me every time. Such a sad song, but also motivating. I saw Kimya play this in Bloomington, and it looked like the whole crowd was in tears.
Once in a while I listen to Kimya's songs on Spotify or TH-cam. I find it very inspiring and heart breaking. Today it also connects to RFK's mission to improve healthcare in the USA. Thank you Kimya.
shes truly amazing newer to kimya just found uncluded a few months ago but shes amazed me with her solo stuff too wears her heart on her sleeves so much respect
Fantastic , her songs are always emotional and profound. First discovered her work when I saw "Juno" in theaters and I've been a fan ever since. :) "Eleventeen" is also one of my favorites with "Wandering Daughter" and this one.
Everytime I hear this song, it gives me goosebumps and wells up my eyes with so much proud. It boosts the energy and hope that I need everytime I need it. Great going Kimya.. You're stronger than you think.. You walk like thunder and you're not alone....
Just found this video after that Mountain Goats song got popular on TikTok and I watched the full version and let it auto run to the next song which was about someone the singer knew in highschool he thought was cool and in the comments someone said Kimya was the classmate he was talking about and here I am! Wow....
Walk like thunder...amazing and the kind of music not "suitable" for the radio- too bad because she has much to say and her songs are spot on, for any age...I've been there and music pulled me out and keeps me going, crawling...Namaste ( as she went on a kindred spirit of Buffy Sainte Marie and Leonard Cohen)
Christine Lassiter you should watch Juno . Her songs are basically the whole soundtrack .. as a 11 year old kid I fell in love with the movie but also with Kimya. Haven’t stopped listening to her since. Now I’m 22 .
Its sad how uncomfortable she is on stage...her eyes never open. Great song, great voice. If not for Aesop Rock I would have never knew about this incredible artist.
Kimya is such an underrated artist. She's such an amazing writer, she blows my mind.

no words, just tears...
i love how she plays with her eyes closed
Fun thing about kimya is that every single time I'm introduced to a new song of hers I end up crying or looking into myself introspectively.
coming back here because someone i knew died of an overdose a few days ago. she makes me feel seen.
Hope you're doing okay. I lost someone to that last year, too. Hope you're taking care, grief is rough.
Brought me to tears. Magnificent. You are completely amazing, Kimya Dawson.
Everytime I hear this song, it gives me goosebumps and wells up my eyes with so much proud. It boosts the energy and hope that I need everytime I need it. Great going Kimya.. You're stronger than you think.. You walk like thunder and you're not alone....
I love her in The Uncluded with Aesop Rock. Both amazing artists on their own and something super human together.
She's an amazing human.
YES KIMIYA I LOVE YOU!!!! her songs are always what I play when I’m panicking since my sister loves her and so I grew up hearing her.
I love you kimya
Some of the best story telling in a song, you could write a whole series never mind a film from this one song
I’m literally about to cry
I love Kimya Dawson

Wow amazing song 🎵
You're truly one of the very most beautiful individuals on planet earth. Thank you for all you do Kimya.
Where is she now?
She’s still performing. I just got my ticket to a NY performance in September. Love Kimya 💜
Right about now she's in the loo, I suspect.
Viva la revolution
The only other song that became give me like this is kings crossing from Elliott Smith
“I started walking again…”
Ain't She Absolute Adorable 😍😘💎
How are there any dislikes at all?
I just noticed that. Some people are just heartless man.
💕
I want Kimya Dawson to my spirit human.
Kimya never uses a pick nor does she use bar chords.
Its sad how uncomfortable she is on stage...her eyes never open. Great song, great voice. If not for Aesop Rock I would have never knew about this incredible artist.
The reason she has her eyes closed is because she goes up into the music that much. But yeah, gotta love her music. So wonderfull.
Weird, I didn't get the impression she was uncomfortable at all. It would be strange if she was looking around.
Didn't she explain the closed eyes in one of the songs? Perhaps even Teleprompters by Uncluded?
