What an absolutely amazing beautiful plant! That's so great that such a knowledgeable and experienced horticulturist shares all the information about plants! Thank you for all that you do.
These videos are teaching me so much of the general concepts one needs to know to get a grasp on how plants work and why. They’ve been so amazingly helpful in giving me a better foundation to start with to make better choices going forward for my plants
I just got my PPP today :) Decent size, amazing variegation and a baby with beautiful variegation as well! Only $20 in Canada so the price is definitely coming down for those looking to own a PPP themselves. Thanks for all the information!
Such a nice presentation! Thank you. I own one (in NJ) which I bought last summer from a private seller as a tiny baby, with three leaves. Today, she has 10 leaves but it’s just a single stalk. I’m so happy with this beautiful plant. I hope I can keep growing her!
I needed this. I put my PPP outside this year and some problems started to arise. Watching this leads me to believe I was overwatering and perhaps over fertilizing (even though the fert solution was weak.) Will be making corrections and hope it recovers! Thank you for this video!
Thank you so much for the concise yet highly informative video! My PPP comes in a few weeks and I'm very excited but also a little nervous. She will be my first "rare" plant and I hope everything goes well!
Great video!! Thank you for passing on the knowledge you have of the pink princess. As an owner (and lover) of one, I hope to keep it alive and happy for many years! 🤗
I am so happy I came across your video I just bought one as a tissue culture less than 3 cm high I paid $45 for it😒 3 months later my home depot is selling mature 1 foot and a 1/2 high big leaves lots of pink and coloring for $39 plus tax sometimes sometimes I guess it pays to wait I am in love I can't stop looking at it Curious about the roots ? when I went to repot it it was so root bound how often do you repot these plants?? Thankyou😁
Your PPPs are gorgeous! I bought one several months ago and am anxiously waiting for a new leaf to emerge. I ordered it online and I'm not sure if it was stressed from shipping...
It's unusual to me, in that the roots look pink too. I bought one recently and repotted it from the moss it came in. The roots surprised me! It was like succulents all over again. Lol
Thank you for your interest. When we have the Pink Princess in stock, you can find them here: www.logees.com/philodendron-pink-princess-philodendron-erubescens.html We also recently launched a rare plant auction website where we feature unique specimens when available: auctions.logees.com
Hey Byron and Logees team! I just bought a small pink princess that has the growing eye cut off where an unsuccessful leaf got stuck. :( What can I do to keep my Pink Princess growing given the unfortunate circumstances?
This is so useful but I have a problem that I haven't been able to find a solution. I got a pink princess and the last few leaves are discoloured, like you see where the pink colour should be but it's just washed out, and I cannot find info about this, don't know whether is too much light, little or need more fetilizer, any help? Thanks!
We are finding that the Pink Princess needs a little more humidity so when the leaf unfurls it has developed properly. If grown too dry, then the pink areas tend to be washed out and almost look like they are sunburned. Also PPP needs to be grown in partial sun to shade. They are understory, vining plants and do not like direct sunlight.
We don't have an estimate at this time. If you haven't done so already, please sign up on our website to be notified once we release more for sale. Good luck!
when he says “make a cut above the node area” for trying to grow more variegation, does he mean cutting a slit or cutting the variegated leaf right off and propagate? If someone knows please let me know :)
When we say, "cut above the growing node," we literally mean cut the whole stem, as if pruning the stem off. You need to find the bump or the growing eye and cut above that. The new leaves should sprout out and you can then see how the variegation is doing.
We have found that grow lights can work, but you have to move them into the light gradually so the leaves don’t burn. We have also found that more humidity is better to avoid and growing of the leaves. You can even go as far as loosely covering your plant with a clear plastic bag - letting air in and keeping it evenly moist.

I have 4 of them . None of them have any pink leafs, I read that if they turn all green I won't get any pink leafs. I am so disappointed, and won't even get another one. I baby all my plants, just no clue what has happened. They are now under grow lights because of the winter months.
My favorite part of this video besides the helpful info, is the no fuss super fast repotting. 😂😂😂
Pruning my plant back has been a game changer. I enjoy the full bushy look.
Excellent video!!!! Its great to see someone who actually knows a plant, instead of someone who "thinks" they do.

I just recently learned about this plant. She's so pretty. I would love to have her as part of my plant collection!🤗
I love how pretty the pink princess is. I have the white princess and just adore it. Thanks for sharing!

This plant is CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!! I HAVE 2 that I purchased on Etsy as starters. They are beautiful. Hope the prices go down.😊
That is one of the nicest PPP I’ve seen at a nursery! 🥰🥰🥰
We think so too! :)
Nice tips in caring! We always get problems of it reverting to green...now we know we should prune it! Keep the videos coming thanks Byron!

Nice looking plant, but why are they so expensive? Not saying your overpricing it, but everywhere I look online they’re at least $100
This is a VERY rare item, which is why it's valued so high.
How do you get them so bushy?!!! Mine is very vine like
a fan here
Excelente! Gracias!

Yes variegated plants are slow leaf takes time to get variegation ,then it opens up i have seen
What if a tiny plant pops up from the mama with all pinks leaves? Can I keep them alive when all pink and if so how?
Can I use grow lights above it?? Will it be too strong?
We have found that grow lights can work, but you have to move them into the light gradually so the leaves don’t burn. @@LogeesPlants thank you!
So if it converts, the variegation does not come back at all????
Unfortunately, if it reverts, the variegation doesn't return.
You can get it to come back usually by pruning back to the growth node that had a good balance of variegation
Omg! Pink princes is my deam! But i don't have money to buy.so expensive
I’m pretty sure I need to cut mine but I’m sm too scared I’ll cut in the wrong spot
You selling ? I’m

Got myself one from Walmart.

Keep it where they get morning direct sunlight. It is not getting enough light that is why the leaves are not pink yet.
how much light were you giving it ?
...Today, i just ordered online my PPP. . .🤗
though i'm not a fan of a climbing philos . . .i think PPP are sexy and cute😅...
Coloumbian forests are rich of pink princesses erubecrns family
I'm very unlucky in caring for philodendrons; brasil, emerald, imperial red, pp.........
I went bizerrrrk on this species and bought 10 of them! I’m so bad.
Everyone's look so pathetic these look so bushy
