1. Rather than having instances or separate zones, transform the ARENA into a matchmaking system. This way, players can find matches and engage in battles, whether it's 1v1, 2v2, or 5v5 (for clans or groups), with varying rewards and points accumulated in each category. 2. Introducing tiered rewards would allow new and free-to-play players to experience the challenge of battling in the arena. It's incredibly frustrating to see only high-level players enjoying all the top rewards.
The primary reason for Deadfrontier's low player count is its pay-to-win (P2W) aspect, which hasn't changed over the years. Despite the drastic changes Clayton has made, the P2W element persists. Currently, the game is played mainly by: 1.Grinders (who farm resources for the Black Market) 2.Competitive high-level players 3.High-level collectors 4.Alt accounts (likely making up 80% of the player base) 5.New players (who try the game for an hour in Nastya before quitting) This game has been introduced globally, although there are some reactions or review coming from different sources of the internet, it still doesnt get to raise it's live player count, that was because it is lacking the element to let new players stay on the game. I hope they get to change it before the game dies, or are they just planning to stay like this until end?
You can´t just give away weapons in the arena, Dead Frontier is a competitive MMORPG, it requires to grind for your belongings, expensive items have and will forever be part of the game, It has always been like that, back in my times we had to rent a gau-19 to stay competitive for a week so we could win tpk, we can say the same thing about Ts competitions, it is unfair that some people can acquire top tier implants/grinding gear, it wouldn´t be fair for those that purchased the gear to have people some items given away because "more people need to participate". The reason the arena is in decline and dead, is pricesily for that reason, you don´t know what will get hit next time, it takes the same 3 guys crying in the discord servers to get a weapon nerfed to shit and to make it useless, why would you bother to participate and acquire gear for that if you kill the "moaning" guys, they will run and cry there asking for nerfs making you lose several millions, most players can not afford this so they choose to stay away because they can´t just depend on people´s feelings. I propose a better solution, instead of having the same 3 guns in the arena, let´s buff other classes, let´s buff shotguns, hmg´s, smg´s so they can have an even fight against a pistol, it is completely ilogical a pistol can decimate you in seconds while you do absolutely nothing with a wraith cannon or a dawn mag, that should not be happening by definition, a pistol/riffle should be situational, to snipe player on low hp with a high dph weapon, not a 4x4 do it all gun that wins over a minigun being shot at close range? really??? Also forcing 1 vs 1´s on the arena, I believe it is possible, once someone has done some damage on you, said player should have some lights effect on it, so you both can not be damaged by any other gunfire, friendly or not, team work is fun, IF you have an active clan, but there are many complaints, from people that join the arena to get gang banged by 3 guys from the same clan or clan alliances, that is also that needs to be taken into consideration. Also if free gear is granted, many refunds will have to happen to both, parasitic husk and flesh seekers. So nerfing is not always the magical solution, instead, buffing it´s counters might be a way greater idea; hmg´s smg´s, shotguns. We need variety in the arena, not forcing everybody to use the same fing pistol. Clan cooldowns for weekly competitions need to happen aswell, that is part of the problem you mention, they take over victory points they no longer need. Thanks a lot for bringing some attention to the problem.
