I have never heard of this theatre of war before. No glamour or glory comes from these nasty vicious little battles. No glamour or glory dying in a pit accident either. Life was hard a century ago. Thank you.

Thanks Phil! Tbf I had never heard of Salonika until receiving these documents. There was no glory in WW1 period imo, it was overall working men being fed into the meat grinder. 100 years ago life was cheap.
