In my opinion metal is the contemporary equivalent to classical music. Only skilled people can play it. it’s a competition between musicians to see who’s more skillful and or deep

Not saying that brutal metal bands are bad, I love them. But it can't be unintelligible crap that you can't differentiate it between music and just pretty much guitar feedback mixed with bad riffs.

Believe it or not but the first thing that got me into metal is an israeli hard rock/heavy metal band called "HaYehudim" - "The Jews" and I remember my father introducing them to me when I was 5. Today I listen even to Deathcore lmao (compared to this Post-Grunge Alternative Rock/Metal music) People who say that metal is devilish don't have a clue what they are talking about and what they're missing.

The times I´ve seen videos from this concert its been said that when Pantera (see Domination from the same concert) played there were 700 000 thousand in the crowd which then expanded to a sea of 1,6 million when Metallica went up on stage. They officially biggest touring band of all time. Thats why everybody request live shows for you to react. They have great albums but The reason they are so big is that they always give concerts. They did not shoot videos until the 4th album, nor were they played on the radio only live shows

Not the "Berlin wall" but the "Iron Curtain". Soviet Union was very strict towards anything from overseas. Foreign music, clothing, technology basically everything was banned in times of former Soviet Union. After the "Iron Curtain" was removed citizens of former Soviet Union(that turned into Russia after the collapse of USSR government) got access to a lot of things from all over the world and this concert was THE FIRST metal concert with foreign bands. It's legendary and this is a piece of history. I was born in 1994 and heard some stories of this event from people who actually were there.
