I grabbed one of these for my personal use. The perfect civi kit for just needed something to carry mags and a couple other random things on the range. Just needs a water bottle holder
I was considering this and the spiritus Mk4 as a placard for a plate carrier. I ended up going with the mk4 and a ferro mini dangler for it’s modularity of sorts. This looks like an excellent product though.
Couple notes on both the micro rig and the Haley dangler, as someone who owned both for a number of years and has moved on from both: 1. It does do its job as a placard, but the ride height on the buckles is super long. Perfect fit if you have a Crye SPC, but on anything else it's gonna sit near the bottom of your plate bag. Might be a pro in some eyes, but definitely something to be aware of 2. Both the rig and dangler start to do pretty poorly once you add a lot of weight to them. The sides of the rig tend to bow forward when loaded up, so if you're using it as a placard, you'll see some separation from your plate bag at the left and right edges. I've had my rig/placard start to separate pretty bad after a few cycles of sprints + working bent over on knees. Can be remedied with a side buckle kit ofc, but again, something to be aware of 3. The dangler also gets really floppy if you load it up, especially with the tweave walls giving it that much more room to bounce and stretch. I really really wish it came with compression straps or something, but other than that it's a really solid GP that can hold A LOT of stuff. You can cram damn near the whole Det Tech personal HAL kit in there and only eat up like half its capacity. 4. The massive loop field on the front of the dangler is cool for patches and stuff, but definitely be ready for it to get caught up if you're working with any equipment that has any appreciable amount of hook on it. If you're not using the whole field for morale/ID/etc, I'd find a patch of hook to just cover it up.
@@tylerclark1801 Haley's MP2 inserts work on a force-to-overcome threshold of retention, so you have to give them a firm yank to unseat them from the lip that indexes on the mag catch. They're not like the kydex in KYWIs or the tegris on SLEDs, which just function on tension+friction--you can wiggle your mags out with those, but not with the Haley inserts. Whether that's a good thing or not is down to user preference imo, though I personally prefer the SLEDs out of all the listed systems.
I’m in the minority but I think a dangler is a bad idea for about 99% of people who will be fighting in some capacity. Just a recipe for inconvenience/kit loss/injury when it’s too heavy and smacks the shit out of your lower regions.
@@darkchild130 Dangler smacking the shit out of you isn't a thing because of how pendulums work. Sure, it'll give you steady tummy pats if you're running, but it becomes barely noticeable after the first few bounces--especially contrasted against the general discomfort of running in kit. What IS a thing is the dangler scrunching up funny and poking your gut when you try to go prone. In any case, 99% of 'fighting' in kit doesn't involve any actual fighting, and the expanded storage capacity for tools/med/snacks/etc is literally free real estate.
I find mine to be pretty bulky as a placard when its full, but my plates are RMAs so they are also quite thick. Thinking I might swap it out for the shaw quad placard.
there's two magnets in the side 9mm pouches, they're just on the inner sidewall, not the outer like you checked. they're rectangle and work great on the fridge too. 3:56
Quick question: is there a way to Velcro attach mags on the sides of the rig? I decided to go with the micro, but I want to add on each side of the rig a rifle mag pouch. Thank you for your time!

Never had that issue with it peeling off on the sides. Was yours loaded down ?
Did you feel like the mags where overly retained by the mag insert?

I use the side pistol mag for a flashlight and the other side for a multitool.
I have the medical insert for the dangler. It’s very very good.

As always, excellent review. Wish you would have slapped it around a little though
Love the videos
I chose a Micro Fight mk5 over this, just a little more modularity
