im pretty sure the grippy material inside their mag pouches is a second layer of elastic. they cited that elastic wears fast and wanted to slow that down a little, which also ends up improving retention
I did the exact same thing mounting my spiritus harness/back strap to my TAPS rig, for the same reason, I can confirm it 100% works, and I haven't noticed any issues.
Honestly Shaw is above and beyond. The tabs which put the knot inside the tab is just icing but another smart design
I’ve been looking at their stuff. Your video came out at the perfect time. I’ll most likely pick up that placard soon. Thanks for the content!
Conquer all.
Very smart design. On top of it is ridiculously low profile. Well done.
Great video as always man. I have used the Shaw placard for about a year, has held up well through normal infantry stuff.

does the grippy materal wear down at all? I notice gcode pouches have similar material.
For the back strap, you can use shock cord to create a stretch ability although then you might have a knot sitting under a pack creating a hot point

Maybe we are desensitized, but 155$ for a Shaw placard doesn’t feel like a stretch.
To be fair, it’s everything but the placard.
Is there hook velcro on the inner side of the wings? I wear ufpro combat shirts and the under arm mesh will get destroyed by hook velcro
Any chance you could review the javlin concepts jcr?
If I wind up with my hands on one.
Is anyone else’s back strap kinda tight on them?
You can use shock cord to attach the back strap to the rig to give it more slack and more stretch.
Anyone make a split placard that will allow this to be ran as a split front?

Their back pack is expensive AF lol.
