Good catch. I just tried and I couldn't get it to work even while pressing shift along with fn + esc. I also tested another of my cheap 60% boards and it worked just fine. Looks like I'm adding the "tilde test" to my reviews.

just ordered one with reds off of amazon! also got a g203 since ive been using these trust gxt things for 3 years that i got for xbox in 2018 for fortnite haha
Which model? As far as I've seen the MK Mini in this video only has blues, but there are several other brands that offer reds, including one from E-Yooso that I'm reviewing soon (90% finished).
If that's the case, you might want to grab a different board that has hot swappable switches instead of this one so that you won't need to do any soldering. I have a couple of keyboards with that feature in this price range that I'll be reviewing very soon.
@@vetropersk3600 never once did i say that it was better quality, and just so you know, the ducky is not a good keyboard, at all. its overpriced for what it is, and this is actually priced good for what it is.

A 60% mechanical keyboard are small? I mean that the keys are all together (I don't know if I explain myself well). I thought it was that 60% of the keys were mechanical and the others were not xD
lol There are a few manufactures out there that make keyboards with a mix of switch types, and maybe even some that are partially membrane. Generally though, percentage refers to the total number of keys on the board since a full sized board has about 100 keys (104 usually). A 60% board has around 60 (61 typically, but there are a few versions).
'Mechanical' refers to the type of activation or switch the keyboard uses to transmit a signal to the computer for typing. Membrane keyboards use a membrane of silicone and a pressure sensitive pcb beneath that completes a circuit for the signal when pressed on. Mechanical keyboards use switches as a method of completing a circuit to send the signal. Membranes are more available because the cost of production is cheaper and I assume faster. There are other kinds of keyboards as well and variants of mechanical switches like low profiles
go on amazon and search up "magegee mk mini" and if you see the pink one that is it you just have to change the color option to white but i dont think the black one is on amazon. if searching that doesn work, just search up "magegee mechanical keyboard" and then scroll until you see the 60% white one. if you are looking for the black one, i dont know how to help you with that, other than telling you to go to the magegee shop.
True, but it's also TKL instead of 60%. Full size and TKL are currently much cheaper than 60% boards, though the price is dropping. Redragon does have a hot swappable 60% in the K530, but it's still $60.
@@ClyFaker oh true true 👍🏻👍🏻 I didnt read your comment right. You have any idea the cheapest hot swap 60%? I'm currently surveying. And thanks for the great review, really helped me a lot in the journey of finding the right keyboard 😂
I'm a crazy mf that doesn't mind desoldering hundred something odd points and replacing with something great. How does the LED on this board look? smd, or is there a hole through the PCB.

It's possible to change out the switches if you know how to solder. Another easy trick is what's known as a "tape mod". That's where you put a layer of masking tape on the back of the PCB to dampen the sound.
