small correction: 3 pts. if opponent = 0 pts 2 pts. if opponent < 33 pts. 1 pt. if opponent 33 pts. or more 1 pt. if last trick wins small addition: Closing the talon is only allowed if there are more than 2 cards left in the talon. small addition: When the talon is completely exhausted, the rules change the same way as if the talon has become closed.
Nice tip, almost every player arange the cards from lowest to highest in one dircetion -> you can determine sometimes if a player can have a High or low Card with this knowleg. Exempel: left are his highest cards and his first left card was a 10 and the new card goes not to the left -> he has no Ace.
Thanks for the vid! I was desperate to find a new two player game and this works especially since I'm learning german! Yay for learning

Hi. With my close relatives, we played also, not just in 2, but with 3 or 4 players. Where can I find any tutorial to refreshen, or see, how the rules are from other's side of training? Thanks for your reply. You can find my email under details of my profile.
I learned the game after downloading an app called 'Schnapsen mit Karl' from the Windows store. Although in German the gameplay is great with 10 levels of AI strength based on neural network technology. My personal recommendation if you are new to the game or without opponent.
For viewers who are confused about the rules, you can find the complete rules for Schnapsen at psellos.com/schnapsen/rules.html . To learn about strategy, I suggest the book Winning Schnapsen, described at psellos.com/schnapsen/blog/2015/09/book.html .
I'm wondering this also. If both players play the same card of differing suits and neither are trump cards, then who wins? I've read elsewhere that it goes by suit, but I'm not sure which suits rank higher than others.
I am looking everywhere for the rules and you have the only video tutorial, I don't get a lot of the terminologies that are used. For example: what is a trump? what is a jack of trumps? any jack can be a jack of trumps? what suit he has? the royal marriage was confusing, I mean, I have to declare it first if I am leading, and then I am forced to use them in a trick and win with them? there are so many questions, and that's a shame because the game seems really enjoyable
When it's your turn to play the first card and you show a marriage or a royal marriage, you must play one of the two cards. You do not have to win with this card to get the 20 or 40 points. But you must win a trick during the game to count these points.
I watched both of your shnapsen tutorials. this update is much appreciated
Thanks 👍
small correction:
3 pts. if opponent = 0 pts
2 pts. if opponent < 33 pts.
1 pt. if opponent 33 pts. or more
1 pt. if last trick wins
small addition:
Closing the talon is only allowed if there are more than 2 cards left in the talon.
small addition:
When the talon is completely exhausted, the rules change the same way as if the talon has become closed.
Don't agree with the last addition at all
Didn't I say that in the video?
@@p1nesap Sorry, of course, you did.

Thank you!
very nice ;)
i got a question
at 4:15 min, what if the other hand plays the ace too
who gonna win the card?

You can only win the ace with a trump card. If the other player plays the ace, the one who started with the initial ace wins :)
@@DominicH77 Thanks 👍

You can find the complete rules for both Schnapsen and Sixty-Six at psellos.com/schnapsen/rules.html .
@@martintompa4596 Nice article you've written there Martin. Pagat is a great site as well: www.pagat.com/marriage/schnaps.html
I was hoping for some actual advanced strategies rather than simply the rules and obvious plays
