Funny thing is I got the notification about new video while playing 66 on my phone 😁
When deck is closed, you must follow the lead suit if possible, this is correct, but also *win the trick* if possible.
Also, 2 points are awarded for the opponent if the player doesn't reach 66 after having closed the deck, yes you are correct, but it's 3 points for the opponent if he didn't won any trick yet *at the moment of closing*. Also, it's possible to switch 9 for the trump card after wining a trick, or right after the deck is closed
So what does the term "when the deck is closed" even mean?
This is a very obscure term not commonly known, not by a long shot.
@@paulrevere2379 i am little late, but i want to respond. Players can close the deck meaning that no more cards are drawn from the deck. At this point you have to follow suit whenever possible.
Their is another version of this game if you want to play with 4 players. Sort the 9 cards out. The dealer gives 2 cards to the player on the left and then clockwise 2 cards to the other players including him/herself. Every player takes his/her cards in hands than the dealer gives 3 cards to the left. The player to the left is not allowed to look into this 3 cards. They must lay down closed on the table. The dealer then gives 3 cards to each player. The player to the left must decide knowing only 2 of his/her five cards which card he/she want to be trump and tell the group. After that he/she can take his/her remaining cards. Player 1 & player 3 are on one team. Player 2 & 4 are the second team.
So does a marriage count even if you don't win the trick?
Werent the rule that during last 6 rounds, if you are unable to respond on the suite, you then have to play trump if you have it...
The rules presented in this video, do not seem to be the traditional German/Austrian rules.

In the first trick, why did Player 2 win? Both of the cards were the same value and neither was a trump suit. Does the first person who played the card win?

At this case player 2 started the round = he take cards

I read printed rules in According to Hoyle. In them it stated that following suit is NOT required.

In Bulgaria we call this game (Santase). Much better name then 66 why all card games have amazingly dumb and stupid name except Poker, Blackjack, Bridge, Belote, Whist, Basra, Kent-Coupe, 3-5-8, Santase. Most of the names are either childish or just far from appropriate.

Nah brother this game is played with 20 cards here in Slovenia. The 9s are used for scoring. We also deal 5 cards to each player not 6.
