Very nice. I’ve owned 5 generations of s-class, but a well kept w116 diesel finally checked all the boxes for me. I love driving it, it’s easy to maintain, incredibly reliable, and it screams quality from end to end. Every time I drive it I’m reminded why I don’t need a huge screen, endless menus to scroll through, and other pointless add ones when driving from a to b.

I wished I lived in Australia I would be running to buy this car if it isn’t already sold.
$38,000 Australian dollars for this is a bargain seriously it looks like it just rolled off the factory floor .
A real Time Machine the car of my dreams when I was young but couldn’t afford .
Now I can afford but it is in the wrong country dam.

All 116s were fitted with a 4 speed automatic gearbox

Only the 280 and the diesel. The v8s have 3 speed gearboxes.
