Have owned the 1974 450 SEL for 20 plus years. I still looks quite Stately with the American (barge) bumpers! Speaking of body integrity; after a very heavy unusual snow fall a portion of my barn collapsed onto the Mercedes. The car was mashed onto the ground however only a small crease was visible once the structure was removed.
I really enjoyed this. Nice idea do break them into series. And your comment at the end about people who drive with their fist at the top of the wheel in an attempt to look more cool, or show off a watch? I loved it. So true.
