Modesto Residential Structure Fire in District 1 territory. Station 91 engine first on arrival. Perspective from Engineer Operator Saucedo. IG: Sauce.Response Community Volunteer Fire Department
Constantly on the move, assessing and providing for the needs of the crew; prime example of taking initiative. Fantastic engineer, many should take notes from this video. Hell, this video should be used in engineer school. Props to you, boss.
As a Law Enforcement Officer this is great to watch. I usually see some engineers just watching and playing security guard but you sir are always moving
KUDOS to this Chauffeur....you rock dude getting all the support components needed on the fire ground including quickly establishing supply!!! Great job!!!
Holy crap man! I absolutely love the hustle you had on scene. You never stopped moving!! This definitely should be used as a training video for up coming engineers, hell even for me!! Fantastic work man!! Stay safe
@@tylerpatrick1566 yeah for sure i get that. Once water is established and your guys are taken care of it should free you up some to help out where able.
Probably the best engineer POV i have seen in quite some time. And I see Engine 91 was using reserve engine 2 which is an older pierce if im not mistaken
Also telling by the radio traffic, engine 91 (In reserve engine 2), engine 92, engine 93, Rescue 91, and a command car on scene. @RealJuanSaucedo was Ladder 91 on scene?
My dad is captain in Arizona for the fire department. He wants to be a chief or battalion but not an engineer. When I’m 18 he said he’s gonna go over things with me and I could go on ride alongs. I wanna be a captain and engineer.
Nice man, you’re going to fall in love with the service. Your dad will steer you in the right direction, keep pushing the standard and represent the service well!
@@Sauce.response Ok interesting, is Engineer Operator a certain rank or position with a insignia or something, or just more of an assignment. Also what is a District Captain, is that different from a Station Captain and more like a Battalion Chief?
@@CaptainHawk-f7t Engineer is a rank/position with normal black helmet and black shield with engineer title. We only have 1 station per district, so yes in a sense also like a station captain. Good question, the process is called “flushing the hydrant” this is done to ensure no debris is present within the hydrant that could clog the supply hose or centrifugal pump in the engine apparatus. It’s also done to ensure you have a working hydrant that can supply water to the pumper.

Underrated comment 👏 👌 😊
As a new guy (less than 4 years on) this is awesome to watch. This is the standard that I aspire to be.
Set the tone boss!
This reminds me of my dad

Nice work brother. This is what an Engineer is supposed to look like. Commendable job.

man it chaps my ass how they just stand there and you just wont stop moving. you sir are one of a kind and thank you for your service
Badass, excellent work as an engineer
Amazing job! I hope to become a firefighter once I graduate high school or go to college, then eventually become a Engineer.
Nothing is worse than an engineer who parks it at the pump panel and doesn't move an inch... Nice hustle!
Im with a big city and they push for staying at the pump but only once water is flowint

I know I'm late but I enjoy watching these videos! Hope everyone and everything is okay now! Sorry for this terrible accident!
I just finished my Driver/Operator - Pumper class a few days ago. This is really cool to see
Set the standard in your department boss!
Nice job on your communication skills, moving on a dime, etc. Keep up the hard work man. And be safe out there on them calls.
This guy had hustle! Constant movement and had equipment in place before it was called for. Nice!

Love seeing the engineers perspective
This guy is a rock star!
Love this video! I’m new to the service and slowly starting to drive more. Thank you for the example of what to do on the fire ground!
Set the tone in your department! Be purposely aggressive at every position 💪🏽
Yes sir!
Great job Brother, I'd have you for an MPO any day , every day and twice on Sundays....👏👏👏
wow the homeowner is very calm even those her house is on fire.

L91 was not on scene. SAF96, RH3, PIO90, 9002, SUP90, M94, and LOGS90 were additionally on scene.
Good work brother

@@Sauce.response Yep! Thank you man❤️❤️
City of New York you really have to hustle.
Nice Hustle. What position dose the FFs with the yellow helmets have?
(Black: FF) (Yellow: Lieutenant or Safety Officer) (Red: District Captain) (White: Chiefs) (Orange Tetrahedrons: SpecOps/Heavy Rescue) (Orange reflective on bunker gear: Officer)

To bad the quantum’s are getting discontinued they are beautiful rigs
1:48 why didn’t you wait for the supply hose to be connected? I don’t know FD stuff btw 1:48

@@Sauce.response ok thanks I didn’t know
Guess leaving the front of the fire building open for the ladder truck is not a thing there . Excellent work by the engineer either way though
Whay are there so many levers on a fire engine?
Great question, to open/close different valves on intake & discharge piping.
@@Sauce.response If you know the pumps in Europe, it looks very complicated. :-)
I thought this was California lol
