Unless TFD allows you to trade items for virtual currency to then be spend on otherwise non purchasable items without virtual currency, It will die. Nexon is known for..not allowing this. As a huge maplestory player years ago, the only thing holding that game together now is the reboot server.
They will be adding trading, from what i have heard. However, the droprates of ultimate characters and freyna and stuff were false (a lot lower than stated) which is already a bad look. But, think about it. Why would Nexon add trading, there are 0 discounts and the premium currency costs way too much money to supply a whole trading system. I don't see a bright future in TFD while not hurting Warframe at all, due to Warframe having a lot better longevity since people will always keep playing no matter what happens.
Absolutely right,Warframe is a game that won't die for a while since 1. Abserd amount of content 2. Updates are only getting bigger 3. Players still playing since 2013 (I know because I saw someone in my squad with Excalibur Prime,which for new people that's like one of the rarest things in Gaming history). Now what about TFD,well it's fishy. One is yes they were in fact fined 1 billion for misleading consumers (scamming) and also the game runs a lot like Black Desert. Few like Black Desert,but I tried it and I just felt useless. The grind in that game is absurd. While yes Warframe is grindy,it feels much funner and feels more rewarding. I have friends that play TFD and try to convince me and my other friend that plays Warframe a good amount to play it. One thing we both noticed is the game has no original ideas. It rips off Destiny a lot,Warframe a lot,and has Black Desert grind meaning the game is pretty much pay to win. If Destiny is dying (which it slowly is),then TFD dies to. Warframe clearly cares about their community,as shown with TennoCon,free rewards every now and then (Like watching TennoCon for 30 minutes and getting one of the best Warframes and a sick AK),but also is clearly not pay to win later on in the game because of the trading system that works like an actual economy. I could yap all day about how Warframe is only going to get better.
maybe lower your music sound cant really hear your voice, anyway people are still on honeymoon phase I don't see TFD can go beyond what they have right now, farming for stuff in that game is grindy af and this is coming from someone who play WF for a decade, anyone who play WF long enough knows these, people used to flock to destiny when they announced it free but several month they return to WF it will be the same with TFD, so if people enjoy that game let them be there's nothing to fear WF wont die it have strong fan base and the number always maintain.
TFD is trying to pull the "we made some mistakes, but we are better then that! here, colour´s are now permanent 🥰" The game pulled so many things for no erason, and made the same systems 50% more greedy, i´d guess they will push in worse stuff again once people fall for the "redemption arc". Just a guess, it´s a shame, Game looks great. Warframe definitely needs older content totally overhauled. You can´t take the grind out of the game, comparing that to TFD is crazy, they do the exact same thing with less variety. Besides that, Warframe has a lot of variety. We have fishing, mining, Railjack, Duviri, Kahl, Archwing, Warframe has a lot of variety, just cause it didn´t hit doesn´t mean it ain´t there. They just need to work on it and make it go harder.
Put it shortly no this is not gonna hurt Warframe at all. Warframe is a game with years and years of. Content. A loyal fan base. Descendent is pretty mixed. He got people that love it. You got people that fucking hate it. Greedy monetization in the first descendent clunky gameplay, terrible story a company you cannot trust so the short answer is no if the first ascent does not get any substantial updates but change the way the game is by this year. I think the game is done for. Just being honest.
And knowing Nexon's track record, if TFD doesn't meet a certain profit margin within it's first year, even if it is popular, it will be shut down. Nexon has shut down over 95% of all games in its entire history within the first year of release due to insufficient profits.
I havent touched Warframe in 10 years. Because my cousin wanted to try TFD I downloaded it and after 30 minutes gameplay I deleted it and downloaded Warframe. Now within a few days, 150 hours, Im almost done clearing the StarChart. This crazy beast of a game got me by the orbs and Ive already been dreaming about what I will do in the coming 850 hours. AND IM NOT EVEN NEAR THE ENDGAME!! TFD is no challenge to Warframe. Its DEs infected marketing department. Oh and if there are other lost noob souls who wanna play Warframe together let me know. Im from Europe.
We knew we were getting a new litch type for a while now, they told us in past live streams that tenno con was going to reveal infested litches. As far as TFD, personally game was too much of a copy of other games that it couldn't carve out its own unique identity, not to mention frequent crashes and disconnects on top of general performance issues, already uninstalled and don't ever plan on picking it back up.
A friend of mine wanted to play TFD together wich we did. And playing it of one night actually made me download and play Warframe, wich I had never played until then. And even for a much older game, the feeling of the gameplay is much better in warframe. The only entry barrier for warframe I feel is the amount of systems in the game can feel overwhelming since it has years upon years of content amassed together.
So for first descendant, I've played about 20 hours and while it's fun enough on a surface level, I just don't see it being deep enough yet, or even really having enough content as a whole. I don't see it really sticking all that well at the moment. It could get there with frankly not too much effort, it has a good base, but a good base with loads of crap on it does not make a good long lasting game. I think it'll be the game that people maybe hop to when they are burnt out on warframe/destiny but still want that looter-shooter itch scratched, at least for the time being. In my time with first descendant I noticed too many small issues overall with the game to where it feels like a rather shallow cash grab, and it being under nexon this could absolutely be the case.
As a maplestory player for years and years, the first descendant is not a threat to warframe lol. Nexon is insanely bad about their micro transactions.
@@JohnnyGG- the biggest problem i had with much of first desc mission structure (completely ignoring the egregious monetization) is that the missions have no variety. They’re mostly either defense or escort missions. Extremely repetitive
I played TFD after that rocky launch mediately followed by servers under maintenance. I played for about 2 hours and ended up redownloading Warframe and deleting TFD.
If you look at Helo, warframe and Horison you will see and notis that the first decendent is.. a coppy and heavy inspired by those well known and sucsessfull titles. I will say this.. First decendent is a ripoff of those titles burn me at the stake if you disagree but damn.
Its so werid watching Warframe content in 2024. I havnt played since the second open world mape came out. I dont even remember the name. But the game just totally lost me somehow. But its fun to check in. I cant believe how different it is. This game is the definition of project scope creep.
I dont think scope creep is the word, but content islands. The open world maps are fine, the problem is they feel almost disconnected from the main game, so sometimes it feels kinda jarring to play them. Warframe is infested with content islands
TFD's story is a mild copy paste standard fantasy futuristic format. I enjoyed the game but i felts nothing about it actually drawing me in. It really just feels like a watered down warframe with lame character personalities and really uninteresting character abilities. Sure its not a bad game but its really unremarkable
Short answers nah not at all to be honest it most likely will just help warframe and destiny even more they are more polished great story and if you wanna double your mod capacity you dont need to spend 25 bucks for 1 unlike where its basically 3 or less dollars in warframe since 20 plat and you get 75 Tbh tho people who never really tried a looter shooter will hear its just a worse version of these 2 games and now they got there fill and will try the more polished and good story games its a win destiny and warframes end Also 1999 its gonna be a massive hit ngl like new war this is something even they will make sure its highest of quality ngl
TFD is like a warframe skin walker. It doesn’t do anything unique or better than warframe at all. In fact most the systems in the game are pretty bad, I honestly can’t figure out why it’s so popular.

Recently saw a video of someone comparing Destiny 2 icons, to TFD icons. And around 30 of TFD's icons looked the same or had minimalistic tweaks. Really insane to see people still playing even though they faked droprates, stole mechanics and even icons, while having terrible monetization. Absolutely insane to me
I think the issue with palworld is that it was the hot new thing and people played it until they burnt out. I took my break after breeding the perfect shadowbeak. It's still easily one of the better survival crafting games on the market so it'll probably pick back up once people work off the burn out and play it more casually instead of all day every day.
From what is see First Decendant is already dying 😂. Once Human look most of the players. Warframe has been built for years and no First Decendant will not come close to giving Warframe any problems.
The fact that they have 10year old bugs told me they don't care about the game they pretend to care then they release a new frame to distract from the buggy game play
Have you ever read Warframe´s patchnotes? They constantly try to fir shit, most bugs are Bound to Host connection issues. I play 70% of the game solo, and i encounter about maybe 2 bugs a month. They should focus on updating older stuff too, but they can´t work on things like Archwing for half a year, when people already dislike it, and there is no guarantee anyone will be interested in the new version.

TFD will last 2 years like ever other nexon game. Also it does not have alot of promise, awful microtransactions, meh gameplay, alot more grind.
